I have a bunch of thoughts on the book/movie, and of their lives down the track. Here they are. Discuss, comment and tell me what you think about it.

1. Darry is an experienced lover. Everyone thinks he isn't, but really he is. Darry just doesn't tell the gang about it. 

2. I don't understand why the gang sees Johnny as one of the kids, when he practically is the same age as Sodapop and Steve who were 16- turning 17. 

3. Buck Merrill is kinda cute. I bet he'd be hot in the book. He doesn't seem like such a bad guy considering Dallas can tame him. As Ponyboy said he is soft when you bully him. I wish I knew more about him.

4. I want to see more of this dark side that Dally has. We don't see it. We see the trouble maker which Cherry at the drive thru. We see the caring with Johnny... but we don't see him when he is in a dangerous mood. 

5. The gang is quite mature, even when it seems like they aren't. The cook, clean and live by themselves. None of them have real parental figures. 

6. Everyone in the gang is sensitive in one way or another. They all have emotions. It just takes different things to make them come out. 

7. Cherry is not a good person. She acts out when Bob and Randy get drunk, but then ignores Ponyboy at school after all he had been through. 

8. Bob isn't all that bad. I mean they're just as much as the gang. Both sides have problems with how they act. The socs just get away with it more. 

9. The gang is very grown for their ages. Unlike the socs, the gang actually has to work and make their own ways in life. Even at 16/17 Soda and Steve work full time, Dallas lives by himself (with Buck, who isn't a parental figure what so ever) Johnny lives on the streets half the time and Darry is who only twenty practically raises them all when he should be out living his own life. 

10. Darry would have his life together if it wasn't for the gang. He'd have his own place and go to college. He'd have a bunch of friends and possibly a girl.
