"You have got to be kidding me Haley," I say into the phone.

"Nope,"

"Did you really think I'll say yes?"

"Yeah?"

"No! I have the worst track record with parties," It is Friday night, and Haley is trying to get me to go to a party.

"Please Mia? It'll be fun. What could go wrong this time?" 

"Ugh. A lot Haley. But, fine." I'm such a pushover.

"Great! I love you Mia! I'll be over in a jiffy!" She doesn't wait for an answer and hangs up right away.

I put my phone down and walk over to my closet. I found a black skirt, and a striped tube top to go with it.

"Eh, this looks fine," I whisper to myself after I slipped it on.

"Hell yes it does," Haley says as she barges into my room.

"Geez, Haley!" I shout.

"Sorry," She says sheepishly.

"It's fine," I say.

We head into the bathroom to do our hair and makeup. Haley curled my hair and I just put on mascara and red lipstick. I didn't want to go all out tonight. Haley curled her hair as well, and did some crazy eye makeup, corresponding perfectly to her dress. She wore a short, black and gold, form fitting dress.

We put on heels, and headed downstairs. Ryan, Leo, Joey, and Alex were all there. They still have not forgiven Logan, which makes me feel pretty guilty.

"Damn girls," Alex said.

"Shut up Alex, they're off limits" Both Ryan and Joey say in sync.

"Okay, creepy. I thought I was your twin Ryan," I joke.

"Haha," Ryan retorts.

"Okay, so we have 3 cars, how do we want to split?" Leo asks.

"I'll take Haley," Joey says gazing at her, causing her to blush. They are so perfect.

"Ryan, let's go," Alex says.

"Okay, then Leo and Mia?" Ryan asks.

"Yeah, sounds good." I say smiling at Leo, which he returns, making my heart flutter. Wait, what?

"Alright, we'll all follow you and Alex," Joey says to Ryan.

"Okay, let's go." Ryan says.

We all head out of the front door, and I lock the house up.

"All set?" Leo asks, waiting right next to me.

"Yeah," I say as we walk towards his car.

After we get in, and start driving, Leo breaks the silence.

"You know Mia," He starts, "You looks gorgeous tonight,"

"Wow, thanks," I say feeling my cheeks heat up.

"Because of that, I want you to be careful. Okay?" He says looking at me for a second while I nod. "Drunk guys do crazy and dumb things,"

"I know Leo. This isn't my first rodeo," I say with a smile.

"I know, I just- I don't know," He says as he drifts off in thought.

I hear the loud music, and find a huge string of cars.

"Looks like we made it." I say.

"Yup,"

"So who's party is this anyways?"

"It's someone on the football team. His name is James." Leo says as we park, and get out.

"James, gotcha." I say as I walk through the grass. "Oh my god, this sucks. Remind me not to wear heels and walk through grass at the same time." Every step I take the heel gets lodged into the ground. I'm like aerating this dudes lawn for him.

"Do you want some help?" Leo asks.

"Uh, we're almost there, I'll probably make it," I say struggling through the lawn.

"Too bad," Leo says as he swiftly picks me up, and walks proudly to the door. I feel my heart start beating quicker at his closeness. He puts me down right before we walk in.

"Thanks Leo," 

"No problem,"

He opens the door and the huge crowd pulls us in, instantly separating us. I can tell I'm not going to stay here long. I squeeze my way through the crowd to find an opening. I ended up in the kitchen. I go into the fridge and find the water. I take a bottle, and make sure there are no leaks, and that the cap is on nice and secure. It looks all good to me. I pop the cap off and take a long refreshing gulp.

Yup. It's just water. I smile at my smart move and decide to enjoy myself at the party.

I find the dance floor, and just watch. I'm not too sure how to dance at parties. Just then, a hand grabs my wrist, pulls me in. It caught me off guard, and I dropped my water.

"Hey! You made me drop my water!" I shout, as I look at who pulled me in. It was an attractive guy, that I've seen in school before.

"It's fine, you can share mine," he says as he hands me his water. I take another huge gulp. But this, for sure, was not water. I felt it burn my  throat, as it went down.

"What was that?" I ask as I hand it back. Why did I drink out of a stranger's drink?

"Shh, have fun. Don't think, just dance," He said as he grabbed my hips and started to move to the song. I began swinging my hips, and moving my arms in the air to the beat. He turned me around so that we were facing each other. He pressed himself into my hips hard, as I swung my arms around his neck.

"More?" He asks. I nod, and start to drink out of his "water" again. I decided I needed to live a little. As I drank about half of the drink, someone came up and ripped it out of my mouth. I looked over to see Leo. He pulled me off of the mystery guy, and I pouted.

"Leo, I was having fun," I say to him. He looks down at me, before looking back up at the guy.

"Excuse me Leo, give me back my lady," The guy glared, reaching for me. I smile and I begin to walk back to him, but Leo pulls me back. He wraps an arm around my waist. I felt butterflies in my waist, causing me to giggle.

"No, Ben. What were you giving to her?" Leo says angrily.

"Just vodka, jesus dude. It's fine, let me have her," Ben says as he grabs my shoulders.

"Nope. She's not yours. There are plenty of other girls here, go find another one."  Leo says as he begins to leave with me.

"No, she's the prettiest one here. The only one worth my attention," Ben says smiling at me.

I gasp, "Can I please go back to dance with him? I think he wants me," I say with a huge grin. Somebody finally wants me! I may not be forever alone after all!

"No," Leo says sternly, as we walk out of the house, his arm still around my waist.

"Leo, someone finally wanted me. Now you just took him away. I hate you." I say as I stomp toward the car. But my heels get stuck in the grass again. "Ugh!" I exclaim as I attempt to rip them off my feet.

"Mia," Leo said to me in a low voice.

"What?" I snap, as I try to take the straps off my ankles. It's jammed. "Ugh!" I exclaim again.

"Mia, let me help you," Leo says as he crouches down by me.

"Fine." I say as I cross my arms. He picks me up, off the grass, and I felt the butterflies come again. I start to giggle.

"What's so funny?" He asks, as he holds me at the car.

"I feel butterflies," I say with a grin.

"You feel butterflies?" Leo asks, with wide eyes and a smile.

"Yeah, I think I ate them by accident." I say as I feel my eyes begin to water.

"No, I don't think you ate the butterflies. Let me put you in the car, and tell me if they go away," Leo says, as he gently puts me in the car.

"Okay," I say, as I figure out how to put on my seatbelt. Once he shuts my door, I notice the butterflies left.

Leo opens his door, and hops in the drivers seat.

"They're gone!" I exclaim.

"I told you you didn't eat them," Leo smiles as he begins to drive.

"I still hate you," I say as I look out the window.

"Because I took you from Ben?" Leo asks with a sigh.

"Yes,"

"Ben is a bad guy. He made you drunk."

"But he loves me,"

"No, he was pretending to love you to keep you. Trust me,"

"No, you're wrong. You don't want me to be happy." I say as I start to cry.

"Mia, I want you to be happy. That's why I took you from him,"

"Hmm. Leo I feel dizzy," I say as my eyes slowly shut.
