I wake up the next morning smiling. Mom and Dad have to stay in the hospital for a few more days to make sure they are all good to go. I'm just glad they are okay. Mason is out of my way finally too. I'm a happy camper. I stretch and get ready for the day.

I brush my teeth and brush my hair, leaving it straight today. I throw on a pair of ripped jeans and a gray knit crop top. I slide on my gray vans, and I go hop down the stairs.

"Hey Ryan!" I greet as I walk to the pantry.

"Hi Mia," He says mouth full of cereal, walking to the sink. "About ready to go?"

"Yeah, let me just grab something real quick," I say as I grab a blueberry muffin. I always run so late. It's not because I take a while to get ready, I just sleep in for a little too long.

I grab my bag, and follow Ryan to his car. I take the wrapper off my muffin, and begin to eat in the quick ride over.

Once we arrive, I hop out of the car, yell my goodbyes, and rush into school towards my locker. As I headed closer, I noticed Leo standing there. He looks stressed. As I get closer he sees, my and smiles and waves.

"Hey, Leo," I say as I arrive.

"Hey, Mia," He says and looks down at me, his eyes soft.

"What? Why are you looking at me like that?"

"I heard the great news about your parents. I'm so happy, I bet you're elated," Leo says, with a smile, trying to cover what I saw before.

"Yeah, I sure am. But, what's wrong?" I say as I put my bag into my locker.

"I, uh, heard about yesterday afternoon. I'm sorry,"

"What do you have to be sorry about? Mason is literally crazy, like nobody can stop him," I say as I glance back up at him.

"No, well I don't know, I just feel like I should have been there," Leo mumbles, as I smile.

"That's really sweet Leo, it's okay. I'm fine now. He's gone," I say as I look at him. Leo stares at me for a few seconds before engulfing me in a hug. I wrap my arms around him and snuggle into his chest for a little.

"Damn, she goes from one guy to the next in days. What a slut!" A girl whispered loudly as I felt Leo tense up. I unlatch from the hug and see Leo sending death glares her way. She proceeds to look me up and down in disgust, and walks away.

"Well, shit. If he can get her after Logan, I wanna turn too," A guy said as he slowly walked towards me. I felt my cheeks flush and I look down.

"C'mon baby, don't be embarrassed," He said, right before I heard a loud boom. I look up and I see the guy on the floor with blood slowly coming out of his nose. Leo is standing above him, breathing heavily, his fists clenched. I look up at him wide eyed. Leo? I didn't know he was the slightest bit aggressive. He looks over at me, and slowly calm downed.

"I'm so sorry Mia. I don't know what came over me. I know you don't like this stuff. I-I just didn't like where it was going, I thought that you-"

"It's fine Leo. You didn't have to but it's done," I say as I finish grabbing things from my locker. I slam the door shut and walk away.

"Mia!" Leo exclaimed catching up to me, "Are you mad at me?"

Am I mad? I don't know. I didn't think he should punch a guy for some comment he said to me. But is wrong that I feel flattered? Some guy punched another guy because he didn't like how he talked to me.

"Uh, not really, no, I guess." I say.

"Okay, good. I'm sorry again."

"It's fine Leo. You keep apologizing today,"

"Yeah, sorry?" He says and gives me a sheepish smile, causing me to laugh.

"Geez, though, one punch knocking him to the ground?" I raise my eyebrows at him.

"Yeah, ya know its no big deal," He says brushing off his shoulder, chuckling.

"I didn't know you had it in you," I say honestly.

"Oh honey, there's a lot to me you haven't seen yet," Leo smiles and winks.

"Oh yeah?" I smile and raise my eyebrows.

"Oh yeah," He smiles back at me.
