"Good afternoon, Mia," Leo says as I slowly sit up.

"Good afternoon? How long was I asleep?" I ask as I stretch.

"Probably about 5 hours, it's like 3 o'clock right now," He answers looking at his phone.

"Oh my gosh! And you didn't move for that long?"

"Yeah, I took a little nap too, then I was just on my phone. Don't worry about me," Leo says with a smile.

"Okay," I say as I slouch back on the couch and yawn, "Shoot!"

"What?"

"Does Ryan know I'm here? He was worried about me when we walked into the school today,"

"Yeah, I texted him and I told him to tell Haley too,"

"Wow Leo, you are pretty awesome," I stand up, just in time for my stomach to growl.

"Hungry?" Leo asks, as I give him a sheepish grin. "C'mon let's go get some food."

We take the elevator downstairs, head out the door, and make our way to Leo's car.

"Where do you want to eat?" Leo asks.

"Leo, I don't have any money on me."

"It's fine, I was going to pay anyway. Where do you wanna eat?"

"Um, I don't know," I am very indecisive.

"Okay, Olive Garden?" Leo suggests.

"That's expensive though!"

"Yeah, that's okay," He says as he gestures to his mansion behind us.

"Right. Olive Garden sounds good."

"Sweet, let's go."

"Table for two, please," Leo tells the lady at the front desk.

"Okay, you can follow me," She guides us to table, near the back of the restaurant . There weren't many people here at this time. "Your server will be here shortly," She smiles and walks off.

"Do you know what you'll get?" I ask Leo, who hasn't touched the menu.

"Yeah, Shrimp Scampi. The best dish,"

"Oh really?" I ask as I put down my menu.

"Yep,"

"Hate to inform you, but you're wrong,"

"Excuse me?" He asks as he puts his hand on his chest.

"Yup, Chicken Marsala is the best," I smile confidently.

"Oh sure. . ."

The server appears. He has dirty blonde hair, and bright blue eyes. He seems to be about our age.

"Hello, what can I get you?" He asks with a smile.

"Hi, can I get a coke, salad, and the Shrimp Scampi," Leo says, as the server scribbles it down on the pad.

"And for this gorgeous girl," he says with a wink causing me to blush.

"I'll have an iced tea, salad, and the Chicken Marsala,"

"That's my favorite dish here, you have great choice. I'll be back with the drinks and salad." The server walks off, and I turn to Leo.

"Ha! He said my dish was the best!" I smile victoriously.

He gave me a small smile back. "Do you know him?"

"Nope, I've never seen him before. Why?" I bet he thought I planned it so the server would say my dish is better.

"Nothing,"

"Here is your coke, both of your salads, and your iced tea, beautiful," the server said, causing me to shutter.

Beautiful. Logan called me that.

"Quit man,"Leo grumbled. The server smirked and walked away

"Logan called me beautiful whenever we were together." I said as I dropped my eyes.

"I know,"

"Really?" I asked. I mean, I guess he did call me it a lot.

"Yes, why don't you think I call you beautiful?" He asks as I look up at him.

"Because I'm not anything special. I'm not that pretty. I'm just average if anything." I say truthfully.

"Really Mia? You are beautiful. Gorgeous. You barely wear makeup, which let's me see your true beauty. I don't call you beautiful because I don't want you to have to think about Logan, I know it hurts you." Leo said. He was being serious. He wasn't smiling, and he looked me dead in the eye. I was almost about to cry, I don't think anyone has told me that before.

"You know I'm over Logan, right?" I ask with a smile.

Leo smiles back, "sure. . ."

"What! I am!" I exclaim as I eat a bread stick.

"Whatever you say," Leo says as he shakes his head.

Ha! I won this round too!

"So. Mia. Tell me some random facts about you." Leo says as he begins to eat some salad.

"Okay, let's see. Favorite color is green. Favorite animal is a dolphin. Favorite place is a beach, favorite food are cupcakes. Um, favorite sport is football. Your turn."

"Alrighty. Favorite color is also green. Favorite animal is a dog, and my favorite place is anywhere animals are. Probably a zoo. Favorite food is steak, and favorite sport is football." Leo finishes.

"Cool! You're an animal person?"

"Huge animal person, I'm going to become a vet."

"That's awesome. I love animals too! They are so fascinating,"

"They truly are. And are you going to be a baker?"

"How'd you know?" He was spot on. How'd he get that out of my favorite food being cupcakes?

"Remember a few months back when you made cupcakes with Haley for us?" Aw, he remembered. I love when people remember.

"Oh my gosh, yeah! Haley and I want to run a bakery together!"

"I'm sure you will. You are so talented, and I'll be your number one customer,"

"Why thank you, Leo"

"Why you're welcome, Mia"

"Shrimp Scampi for you," the server said as he reappeared in front of our table. "And for the stunning one, Chicken Marsala," he said with a smile.

I smiled and shifted uncomfortably in my seat.

"Anything you need, just give me a shout," he said staring directly at me, followed by a wink.

"Uh yeah, I do need something," Leo said, looking irritated.

"What's that?" the server angrily answered back.

"Stop flirting and making her uncomfortable," Leo glared. Oh no. I don't like where this is going.

"Why do you care?" the server spit back.

"Well, for starters she's my girlfriend," Leo said smoothly, causing my eyes to widen. Leo shoots me a look telling me to relax.

"I don't buy it. Prove it. Kiss," the server said with a smirk. My eyes widen again, what's going on?

"Kissing is not appropriate here. We don't like kissing in public," Leo said having a stare down with this server kid. Good save Leo.

"So? Nobody is in here."

"This is very unprofessional of you. Can I speak to the manager?" Leo says calmly. How is he so good at this?

"My manager loves me. Literally. Sounds like you just don't want to kiss your 'girlfriend.'"

Leo looks at me, and I nod. I'm sick of this punk.

"I would love to kiss my girlfriend,"

"Then do it," the server smiles, thinking he won this battle.

"Okay,"

Leo comes over and sits down next to me, causing my heart to flutter. I hear him whisper "sorry" before grabbing my chin, leaning in, and pressing his soft lips against mine. Though it was only a short peck, it made my heart beat faster, and my insides warmer. I blushed and looked down.

"Weak kiss," the server said.

"Come back in 30 minutes with the check," Leo said and went back to his side of the table. The server angrily stalked off.

"Well, that was something," I said as I began eating my dish.

"I'm sorry,"

"No, don't apologize," I mean, the server was total jerk. And the kiss wasn't bad either. . .

"I crossed the lines. I shouldn't have said you were my girlfriend. I should have used my dad. It just slipped out, and"

"Leo, it's fine. We're cool, right? It was only a small kiss, nothing crazy,"

"Yeah," Leo said, looking ashamed.

"Wait, so what about you using your dad?" I ask.

"Oh, well my dad owns his fair share of businesses in this town, so he'll fire anyone in an instant,"

"That's kinda handy," I say thinking about the server.

"Yeah, sometimes," Leo says as he sighs.

I was lost in thought, thinking about what happened a few minutes ago, when I just blurt out, "Your lips are softer than Logan's." Shoot. That wasn't suppose to come out. I cover my mouth with my hands.

Leo nearly chokes on his pasta, but manages to swallow.

"It's a compliment," I say, burying myself into my hands. I can feel my cheeks turning bright red.

"Thanks. You have some pretty soft lips yourself," Leo smirks as he continues eating.

"Thanks," I said as I started to eat again, "we should do it again sometime." Oh my gosh. What am I doing to myself? Where's my off switch?

Leo looks up and smiles at me, "Do what again?"

I widen my eyes, "Err, I, uh, go to Olive Garden again,"

Leo chuckles, "Yeah, we should. I'll make sure there are no idiots next time,"

"Great! It's a date," I mentally face palm myself, while Leo just laughs.

Oh boy. What a day.
