Wow! Not sure why I allowed him to kiss me but I have to say that I liked it.

When we pulled our heads apart to take a breath, I couldn't help but look him in the eyes as he did with me.

"I couldn't resist anymore." He says.

"I'm glad you did it." I tell him.

For the rest of the firework show, we stood there watching together and afterwards, we started to head back towards the car then began driving back towards my apartment complex.

Tonight I couldn't help but think about asking him what the deal was with Markus and exactly what it was he did for a living. I mean, I can see that according to what all I've heard about him already that he is an important person and does have a lot of money, so in a way, I guess just like a celebrity, he would need protection but I also can't help feeling deep down at the same time that maybe there's something else to it.

Oh well, I think I have seen too many movies and am being overly paranoid. So I guess for now at least, I will just let it go.

Once we pulled up and he walked me all the way to my apartment door, before opening it up, I turned to look at him and bit my bottom lip gently while nervously trying to work up some courage to invite him in for a drink.

He leans forward a little and smirks while looking at my lips and holds himself up by his hand on the door frame.

"So, I had a great time tonight." I smile at him.

"So did I." He smiles and looks into my eyes. "We should go out again."

"I'd like that." I smiled a little more.

"Good. Tomorrow night then. You and I will go to a nice little restaurant and maybe even catch a movie." He suggests.

"Sounds good. Same time as tonight?" I ask.

"Yeah." He smiles.

Next he leans in while gently lifting my chin up and gently places his lips onto mine giving me a long and passionate kiss.

"Goodnight beautiful." He tells me then pushes himself off the door frame and turned around to begin heading out back towards the car.

I stood there watching him walking towards the elevator to take him down and thought about why he didn't try and ask to come in or why I didn't even say anything. I  obviously had a chance to but I guess it just wasn't meant to be tonight.

Two Weeks Later

Despite the fact it has only been a week since we started dating, Raiden made it clear a couple nights ago that him and I were together.

Almost everyday he sends flowers to my work and on several occasions has taken me to lunch or has brought me lunch so we could eat together.

He was more romantic and sweet than I thought or ever imagined.

Normally if somebody acted this way around me I would question if rather or not it was real. But with him there is no doubt he's being genuine.

Tonight we were going out to a restaurant that he told me he has been going to for the past eight years and knows the owners very well.

After we arrived and headed inside then were seated at a table towards the middle of the place, before sitting down, Raiden excused himself for a moment to use the restroom as I stayed and looked over the menu at what I wanted.

A couple moments of looking over the menu, I hear some deep husky voice say something to me.

"Excuse me?" I look up at the person.

The man looked to be maybe a few years older than Raiden, had real short tight curled hair, wore a nice expensive suit, the same as Raiden always wears and looks to be a little taller than him as well.

"You must be Frankie." He smirks at me.

"I'm sorry, do I know you?" I ask.

"No. But I've heard so much about you." He says.

Is this a friend of Raiden's? An associate?

"Um..." I began to wonder who this person was but before I had a chance to say anything, I noticed a very pissed off looking Raiden walking towards us.

"What the hell are you doing here?!" Raiden asks him with a tensed face.

"I'm just introducing myself to your girlfriend here." He tells Raiden. "Which, I was just about to give my name. I'm Nielsen." He holds out his hand for me to shake and I look at Raiden who seems to be real upset.

"We're leaving." Raiden tells me.

"What? We just got here..." I started but the intense glare he gave me next made me realize I better get up right now and do as he says.

"Damn, SOMEBODY'S controlling." Nielsen taunts toward Raiden.

"I will deal with you later. But I suggest you leave town now before something bad happens to you and your family." I overheard him try and lowly tell Nielsen in his ear before taking hold of my hand and pulling me out towards the car.

Once outside, I needed to know what was going on and who in the hell that guy was.

"What the hell is going on?!" I ask him after he hands his ticket to the valet guy to go and grab the car.

"We'll talk about this later." He tells me.

"No, we'll talk about it right now." I tell him in a demanding tone of voice.

He looks at me a little surprised and still with a scowl then softens his look a little bit, pinches the bridge of his nose and lets out a breath.

"I'll tell you what's going on but first, let's go somewhere more private." He suggests.

I looked at him unsure if rather or not I should take him up on that offer....sounds like what a killer would say. But the look in his eyes, I could tell he felt bad about something and so I decided I would trust him enough to take me somewhere we could talk. I'm a little nervous about what's about to happen to be honest.
