Amora dragged her last bag to the backseat of her car, exhaling once she finally had it inside. She had never realized how much stuff she had until she had to pack up. Greg had offered to help but Amora didn't want to risk Raymun causing a scene in front of the whole neighborhood. At least that's what she told him, because in reality she was trying to avoid him. That was so hard to do though when he was just charming as hell.

She closed the door before going back to the house just to lock the house door. She left back out and got in the car.

"You sure you didn't want me to come and help you?" Greg asked through the speaker inside her car.

Amora started the car up and sighed. "I'm sure. I already got everything packed and I'm on my way to my mom's house now." She told him. "Thanks though."

There was silence on the other end for a while. "Look, I'm sorry if I caused any trouble within your home. Like I told you before, I'm totally cool with just being friends." He said after a while.

"And I'm glad." Amora replied. "I hope you truly understand."

"I do. Is it cool if we still hang out though? As just friends... stepping no boundaries whatsoever." Greg questioned with hope.

Amora thought about it for a while. "We will see." She said, flipping her loose curls. "I'll call you back a little later once I get to my mom's."

"Alright, gorgeous." He responded after a short sigh.

"Don't do that." Amora said between a short giggle.

"Huh? Do what? Call you gorgeous?" He asked as he chuckled. "You telling me friends don't compliment friends?"

"You're not slick trying to ease you way back in." Amora said, rolling her eyes. "Goodbyeee."

"Bye, beaut– Amora." He correctly quickly.

Amora laughed as she pulled out the driveway. "Bye." She said one last time for hanging up.

Amora liked Greg and she liked him a lot but with this current situation, both leaving Ray and almost reaching death, she didn't need to rush into anything too soon. She was going to treat people how she wanted them to treat her from now on just like her big sister had told her long ago. For this reason, she was going to take her time with Greg and get the know the real him before she ended up head first into some shit she really wasn't ready for.

As she drove to her mother's, she thought about Ray and the news he had told her the night before. Sleeping with Syrah was the last straw for her. It hurt her the most because she had never seen it coming; not once did she suspect that this was something Syrah would do. Amora had to remind herself that she found this woman sitting next to a liquor store and she didn't really know anything about her. From the looks of things, Syrah was the type of bitch to stab her in the back during a hug as she smiled in her face. That's exactly the way everything seemed to her.

She pulled up slowly to mother's home. Conni was just getting out of car when Amora pulled up. She had a few bags in her hand and there were obviously more because she left the door opened before going up to the house to unlock it. Amora got out to help.

"Hey, mom." She greeted softly, picking the bags up from the car.

Conni looked over her shoulder. "Amora, girl."

Amora grabbed the three remaining bags before closing the car door and following behind her as she held the door opened.

"Where's your bags?" Conni asked, grabbing the bags from her hands. "And how you feeling?"

"In the car." Amora told her before following her to the kitchen. "And I'm fine."

"Good. I'm letting you know right now I don't want that damn boy over here." Conni said. Amora rolled her eyes before looking away. "Ain't gon' be no little attitudes or none of that. If you're gonna be back under this roof, you're gonna live by my rules and what the fuck I say goes. You hear me?"

Amora could feel a headache building up already. "Yes ma'am."

"I want respect–"

"Ma, can you save the lecture for later? I just got here. My bags aren't even out the car yet, dang." Amora complained.

Conni turned to her and glared. "Good. I wanted to give you this lecture now while your bags still in there so when you give me that attitude you can just get back in your little hoopti and leave like you always do." She said as she continued putting her groceries up.

Amora stared at her for a long time before she stepped back. "You know what? That's why Rosè don't come over here now. I get it. I don't even know why I thought I could come here after going through what I just went through–"

"So get the hell out!" Conni interrupted. "I don't give a damn what you've been through but I told you don't come back until you learn who the fuck house you staying in."

"You– okay, bye. I'm not arguing with you." Amora said before turning away and walking out.

"You damn right you're not!" Conni yelled back, following after her. "Especially not in my damn house."

As soon as Amora stormed out Rosè and Jewelle were walking up the lawn. "What's wrong?" Rosè asked, squinting at her.

"I'm not dealing with this shit!" Amora shouted.

"I'm not dealing with your shit either!" Conni yelled over her, standing on the porch.

Jewelle looked between them, confused. "Please don't argue." She said softly.

Amora turned around with her finger up. "I swear to God, you won't be happy until you lose all of your children. Won't none of us respect you because you always on some bullshit!" She yelled.

Rosè grabbed Amora's arm. "Come on, just go. Ain't no point in arguing in front of everybody. You can come to my place." Rosè said even though Conni just kept yelling, triggering her even more.

"Please!" Jewelle said as she walked unto the porch.

"Since you wanna be so damn grown, how 'bout you get you a better damn job so you can get a better fucking car and your own house so you don't gotta squat nowhere. You're a grown ass woman!" Conni yelled.

Jewelle turned around with a big frown. "Mom!"

Amora looked like she was about to charge at their mother as she turned around quickly. "I'm in school, getting a degree which is much more than what you were doing at my age so let's not. Shit, at Jewelle's age you were looking for a babysitter for your chi—"

"Amora! Let's go!" Rosè yelled as Conni started walking up.

"Can y'all please stop!?" Jewelle yelled.

"No, I'm tired of this!" Amora yelled, looking at Rosè. When she turned to start back on her rant, Conni was right there and so was her hand. She smacked her so hard Amora stumbled against Rosè, holding her face.

Everyone looked in shock as Amora started crying, burying her face into Rosè's chest. Rosè held her tightly as she looked over to Jewelle who was crying.

"Don't ever disrespect me. You lost your fucking mind. If I hadn't been doing whatever the fuck I was doing at your age ya dumb ass wouldn't even have this house to run to! So remember who the fuck you talking to. I'm your mother, not one of your little friends." Conni yelled, pointing in her face.

"Mom just stop. Jewelle is crying, you've proved your point, whatever that is." Rosè said, leading the crying Amora away.

"This is your fault. They've always looked up to you and seen you disrespecting me–"

"Mom!" Jewelle yelled through sobs.

Conni turned around to Jewelle and pointed. "Jewelle, take your ass in the house and stay in your fucking lane!" She yelled.

Jewelle turned and hurried into the house through tears, slamming the doors once she was inside. Rosè just shook her head.

"Pathetic." Rosè mumbled before looking to Amora.

"What you just say?" Conni asked.

Rosè looked at Conni over her shoulder. "I'm not even giving you that satisfaction. You've embarrassed us and yourself enough in front of the whole neighborhood. This is done. She's coming to stay with me and you can be good doing you." Rosè said smartly. "And don't even think about putting your hands on me because I am far over grown and I'm not doing it with you."

"Don't put my hands on you?" Conni asked, looking at her like she was crazy.

"Don't. That's why I left your damn house and that's why even when I'm here I do not speak to you. So don't. Mother or not, I don't condone it." Rosè said, walking away from her.

Conni had lost control over Rosè a long time ago and she wasn't going to gain it back by threatening her. "Just get the hell off my property!" She yelled.

"You okay to drive?" Rosè asked Amora once they were to her car.

Amora shook her head. "I'm so over her bullshit. Like I can't do this anymore." Amora said through her sobs. "I swear to god."

"Just relax." Rosè said. "You're with me now."

Kaivar frowned as he looked down at his sobbing mother. She had just got back home when they all got the news about Syrah. Kai was distraught but he knew he had to be strong for his mother and father who were just as torn. Rick and Kai held onto each of Keeva's hands as she cried hysterically, losing control of her emotions all over again.

Kai had so many questions and not enough answers. He was confused on how she could be missing for weeks and none of them, except their dad, had even thought to check on her.

He wanted to call his dad back over and ask where he had been hearing all of the information so that he could report it to the officer that they told them to report info to. Kai was lost in world of questions and concerns. He was stressed and just needed someone or something to be there for him right now.

"I'm gonna get her some water." He said, looking to Rick. He nodded to Kai as he let go of her right hand and started walking into the kitchen.

Kai pulled his phone out and looked for Rosè's number because this time she was the first to come out mind. After a couple of rings, she didn't answer.

Kai sighed, remembering that they weren't on good terms. He wiped his hands over his face.

Now what?
