Pop! The popping sound of the champagne bottle opening pulled a surprised gasp out of Rosè as the others laughed. Noelle, Zaida, and Royale were all sat around in Rosè's living room as Rosè poured Merlot in everybody's champagne glasses.

"To new beginnings!" Royale said, lifting her glass before sipping it– Rosè and the others following her lead. "Damn, this good."

"For real, I am so proud of you." Noelle said, smiling as she shimmied in her seat.

"And you get a great promotion and an even better pay raise, yassss!" Rosè said, excitedly.

"Okay but where is the food– okay." Zaida sipped the champagne with her face turned up.

Rosè couldn't help but laugh. "I had to get you out here some way."

Noelle and Royale laughed but Zaida looked dead serious as she grabbed her purse, threw on her shades and got up. "Congrats, I love you. Bye." She said quickly as she started heading out.

Noelle shook her head through laughter. "I'll take you home, it's late. Love you, Rosè babes. I'll see you tomorrow."

Rosè waved her off and gave Royale a serious look. "You spending a night?" She asked.

Royale nodded, pulling shoes off. "You know it." She told her as she lunged her legs over on the couch.

Rosè got up from the loveseat across from her, grabbed the champagne bottle and took it to the kitchen. Afterwards, she walked up the steps and went into her hallway closet to grab an extra cover and pillow. She never knew who was staying and who wasn't so she always kept extras of everything.

She walked downstairs with her cover and pillow stacked in her hand. "Here, boo. It get cold down here at night." She told her.

"Thank youu, where's the remote?" Royale asked, laying on her palm as she looked at the television.

Rosè handed her the DirectTv remote and walked back to the kitchen to grab her glass and her bottle. "Goodnight, see you in the morning!"

"Goodnight!"

Closing her door behind her, she slid slowly into the bed and laid back. She sipped straight from the bottle as she looked at the text message from Kai.

"Just when you're doing good.. you fuck up." She mumbled, exiting out the thread.

Suddenly, her phone rang and it was Jewelle. "Have you heard from Amora?" She asked as soon as Rosè answered.

"No, what happened?"

"She hasn't been home for a while and her phone keeps going straight to voicemail. Last we heard she left to go talk to her boyfriend." Jewelle said, sounding panicked.

"Is that Amora?" Someone asked in the background.

"No it's Rosè." Jewelle answered. "Here."

Rosè rolled her eyes as her mother took the phone. "Hello? Rosè? Have you heard from Amora?"

"No, I just told Jewelle no." Rosè said. "She's fine, she's probably just not feeling like being bothered right now. You know how she is."

"But she lives here. Where else could she possibly be?" Her mother asked.

"Amora is a grown woman, stop smothering her. I'll see if I can–" the line beeped signaling another call. "I'll see if I can get in contact with her, I'll call y'all back."

"I need to talk to you–"

"Someone's calling me, I'll call you back." Rosè said before tapping the button that ended the call and accepted the new. "Yes?"

"You're mad at me?" Kai asked in his normal mellow tone. "You can just say that. You ain't gotta ignore my texts again."

Rosè chuckled. "Nobody's mad at you. I'm just sleepy."

"I can come over?" He asked.

Rosè closed her eyes and tried to decide. In the background she could hear that it was raining so she looked out her windows and clarified it.

"It's raining." Rose stated.

Kai started to chuckle. "I can see that, I'm driving in it. What's the problem?" He asked. After hesitating a bit more, she exhaled. "I mean I don't have to come over.. I just thought–"

"No, no. Come over." Rosè said, laying on her side. "I just have a friend downstairs so..."

"We ain't gon do shit. Remember our deal?" He asked.

Rosè rolled her eyes. "Maybe I wanted to do something tonight..."

"Not with your pussy screaming bloody–"

"Got it! You do not have to do that." She laughed, turning over in her bed.

"I mean... I ain't scared of a little blood. You can get fingered if you want to. All I gotta do is wash my hand–"

"You are so damn nasty, it's ridiculous. You're not swimming in my bloody pool." She damn near shouted.

"Not even a splash?"

"I'm hanging up." She told him before hanging the phone up quickly.

Rosè couldn't help the smile on her face as she looked up at her ceiling mirror. She laughed when she saw her own dumb expression, slightly embarrassed with herself. It was evident that she liked him and he liked her. It was a mystery how she could feel so different now; the butterflies growing in her stomach and her chest were new.

Before, attractions were just fun and games. She'd flirt and then grow bored but Kai was different. The fact that he could handle her smart mouth, attitude, and shoot it right back was new.

She liked him.

Rosè put the bottle on her dresser as she tiptoed down the stairs, evening her bangs out as she walked through from the living room to her entrance.

A soft knock hit the door and Rosè looked in to make sure that Royale was sleep. Unsure, she just opened the door and smiled at Kai. In his arms was a yellow teddy bear, roses, chocolate, and a bag of Burger King all wet from the rain.

Rosè's face melted in awe as she grabbed some of the stuff from him and pulled him in the house.

He took his jacket off and looked around, pausing when he saw Royale looking at him. "Kaivar?" She called out.

"I don't know you and I don't trust you." Cardi said, passing her gun to Dyme who was in the passenger seat. "That's why Dyme and Noir are gonna be on your ass the whole time."

Dyme purposely cocked the gun back and shot a look at Syrah. "So don't fuck it up." She said.

Noir looked over to Syrah from the beside her and glared. "Can't believe you..."

Noir was more than aware that she and Syrah weren't friends before but now she was sure this would make them enemies. Noir wasn't going to let Syrah take her place and if this led them down the drain then she would end her if she needed to. Like Cardi should've.

She had been working by Cardi and Dyme's side since they met way back at a stick up. They told Noir she had heart and that she would be useful. Ever since then, she had been smuggling, selling, cooking, and financing for them. They paid her more than a week at a strip club could make her in two days.

Now she was going to have to share that with Syrah? I don't think so, I'll get rid of her any chance I get. Noir thought as she filed her nails.

Cardi trusted her. All she had to do is wait for Syrah to fuck up like she knew she would.

"Alright, ladies. Y'all know the drill." Cardi said as she parked in front of the huge mansion.

Dyme and Noir got out the car first and for a while Syrah was just sitting there. "Get out, bitch." Dyme said, scrunching her face up. "Fucking idiot."

Syrah got out and cut a look at Dyme. "I figured she was talking to the bitches that knew the drill since I fucking don't. What are we doing?" She asked.

Dyme smiled a little. "We'll show you."

Noir chuckled a little before swinging her backpack over her shoulder and leading the way to the estate where obviously there was a party going on.

Each girl wore extremely small pieces of clothing as they strutted up to the door. Noir knocked first.

The door opened and a young white man answered the door. "Ahh, the entertainment is here!" He exclaimed.

Noir and Dyme smiled but Syrah was confused. "Are you bitches prostitutes?"
