Rosè sighed, looking up at the ceiling. Kai had been gone for a while and even with him gone, she couldn't think up a way to tell him the news. The reason it seemed so hard was because she didn't know if it was good or bad news exactly. Her being pregnant had to be the dumbest thing in history, especially since she didn't even know the real status of her and Kai's relationship. Another thing she  as unsure about was whether or not she was keeping it.

According to the doctors, this had been an ongoing pregnancy for a little over three weeks which of course dated back to Kai being deep in her guts with no condom.

She had teased the conversations a couple of times to Kai but it always ended in an awkward silence.

"So?" Rosè asked, looking up at him as he focused in on the movie. "Would you want a baby?"

"A baby?" Kai asked, his face turned up before he shook his head. "Nah. Not right now. I'm just not ready for kids, you know? I'm still a little young."

"Hmm... interesting." Rosè said, looking down at her stomach.

Kai looked down at her then back to the television. "Why? You trying to tell me something? You want little Kaivars and Rosès running around?" He asked.

Rosè laughed lightly. "No... not at all."

Rosè hated making things between them complicated. She didn't want her first baby to be by a man who she feared calling "baby" or her boyfriend because she didn't know if they were "there" yet.

"Maybe I should just hold off until the time is right." Rosè mumbled to herself as she looked down at her phone, fingers tracing the furry case that replaced her wallet case.

Rosè had always been good at keeping secrets. And so this was one she was going to keep for as long as it would allow.

Meanwhile, Amora had her own secrets to keep.

Amora leaned back against the hood of the car, looking up at the sky as Greg fed her chocolate and strawberries. In Amora's words, this was "some Tyler Perry shit" that she wasn't used to and she loved it. While she was getting a huge stress reliever from not only a fine man– but a fine, business-owning, man. Over the past week, Greg had her out on dates and shopping sprees with exclusion to nights like these where they just chilled.

This was something Amora had always felt she deserved from Raymun but never got and although she had made it clear to Greg that she would never leave Ray for him, he couldn't help but show her exactly what she was missing out on.

She was getting accustomed to the lifestyle that Greg had been spoiling her with and she loved it. Somehow though, she felt guilty.

Raymun and her would get into random arguments about this and that for no reason and because of this, it only pushed her closer to Greg. It felt like fate was trying to tell her something but it just didn't feel right. She didn't want to play Ray's dirty game of cheating because they had gotten passed that. Or so she thought...

Their past mistakes always got brought up in their arguments and Ray's cheating wasn't excluded. Truth was, they'll never get that trust back no matter how hard they tried to fake it.

And Greg just felt like the right person... right now.

The night was ending and so was her feeling of ecstasy as she pulled up in front of her mother's home.

"Did you enjoy the evening?" He asked, looking over at her as he turned the car off.

Amora smiled at him. "I did, as always." She said calmly, grabbing the handle.

Greg licked his lips and nudged her arm. "You not leaving this car until you tell my goodnight." He told her.

"Oh yeah?" She asked, giggling a little.

"Yeah." He confirmed.

Amora leaned over the armrest and pressed her lips against his. Greg held her chin, deepening the kiss as he slid his tongue into her mouth slowly. Both their eyes closed as they dived into the seas of each other's mouth. Once they finally parted, Amora looked at him as she bit her lip.

"Goodnight." She said before exiting the car. She watched him pull off before she got in her car and drove home.

The next morning, Amora woke up on the couch in the living room. The light shone in brightly but that was mostly because Raymun had decided to rip the shades open.

"What the hell, Ray?" Amora growled, squinting at the light. "What's your damn problem now?"

"Where the fuck were you last night?" He questioned.

Amora chuckled to herself. All your ass need is some rollers and a pink robe and you'll look just like my damn mama. "I was out with a friend." She said calmly.

"That's funny?" Raymun asked, glaring at her. "That shit funny to you?"

"Calm down. I don't question you when you go out to only God knows wh–"

"I'm a fucking police officer! I get called in at all times." He yelled, pointing his whole hand at her before taking a breath and re-approaching the situation. "I'm gonna ask again... where were you last night?"

"I'm gonna tell you again... out with a friend." She repeated in the same aggressive tone. "I don't feel like dealing with this shit. That must be your guilty conscience."

Raymun glared at her. "Whatever, man. I gotta go to work. We gon' talk about this later."

"Mhm."

She heard the door slam as she buried her face deep in a pillow. Now she was awake with an attitude. She just wanted to go back to sleep and start the day over.

Knock, knock, knock!

But someone had other plans for that.

Amora sighed loud and dramatically as she hopped up from the couch with irritation. She walked to the door and snatched it open. Of course it was only Kai there to make her day even worse.

"What do you want?" She asked with irritation.

"Ya nigga said you were off today." He said calmly, looking down at her. "I need to talk to you."

"About...?"

"Syrah." He said, leaning against the doorframe. "Have you seen her?"

"No." She said, lip turned up before she turned and walked back to the couch. "Fuck her and I hope I never see her."

Kai shook his head, trying to stay calm. One thing he didn't do was play about his family. "I just wanted to know because my pops talking about her being dead." He said before grabbing the doorknob.

"Well I hope the bitch is dead, the fuck? Fuck. Her." Amora said as she slammed a pillow down on the couch and went to lay back on it.

All movement had halted though because Kai had a death grip around her neck and he wasn't easing up. Amora struggled to get him off her as her eyes turned a bloodshot red and feared up.

"Didn't I tell you to stop fucking disrespecting my sister, fam?" He growled as if she could talk back. He only tightened his grip with each word.

Amora's eyesight blurred and it got harder to breathe. She clawed at his face, scratching him deeply. At that moment, this wasn't Rosè's sister he was choking– it was just some disrespectful bitch. Kai kept choking until her closed slowly and her pulse disappeared right under his hands.

It was at that moment he realized what he was doing. He stared at her as he released her, watching her body hit the couch. His mouth formed an "O" as he watched her stand completely still in the way that she had laid.

"Oh shit. Shitshitshit...shit."
