WILLOW'S POV

It had been a while since Charlie and I had spent some quality time together so I had dedicated a whole Saturday for just the two of us. We had been to the zoo, the mall for a shopping spree, we'd played our favorite game on his game console and at the moment I was cutting his hair in our shared bathroom. I had been cutting Charlie's hair since he was born and even I had to admit to myself that I had gotten pretty good at it.

"Willow can I ask you something?"Charlie requested looking up at me.

"Sure bud, anything."

"Henry is your boyfriend right?"

"Yeah, you already know that."I replied.

"What do boyfriends and girlfriends do?"He inquired taking me by surprise.

"What do you mean?"I asked hoping we weren't about to have the birds and the bees talk.

I was not ready for that just yet and wanted my baby brother to remain innocent for a little while longer.

"You've never had a boyfriend before, it's always been just the both of us and I was wondering what I did wrong for you to replace me with Henry."Charlie explained looking down his voice filled with sadness.

"Charlie where is this coming from?"I asked kneeling in front of him so we were face to face.

"It's just that we never spend time together anymore. You're either at work, school or with Henry."Charlie explained.

I had spent the whole day trying to compensate for the fact that Charlie and I hadn't been hanging out as much as we used to. I knew he had felt the drift but not to the extent of him doubting my love for him.

"You didn't do anything wrong Charlie and its still me and you but do you think there's a little room for Henry because I really like him."I asked.

"Do you love more than me?"Charlie countered.

The kid was definitely not pulling his punches. He just kept coming at me.

"I don't love him but I like him a lot and maybe some day I will learn to love him."I replied hoping I'd provided a satisfactory answer.

I hadn't really analyzed my feelings for Henry just yet but I realized that I had told Charlie the truth. I wasn't in love with Henry yet but maybe someday I would be.

"Aren't you afraid of the cooties?"Charlie asked looking genuinely concerned for me.

I really tried to hold it in but I couldn't help but laugh at his childlike innocence.

"Henry doesn't have cooties Charlie, I'll be okay."I assured him.

"So you're not leaving me?"Charlie mumbled getting back to his vulnerable state.

"No never. Not in this world or the next. Who is feeding you all this stuff?"I inquired knowing there was deeper explanation to Charlie's insecurities.

"Alex told me that Samantha stopped hanging out with him after she got a boyfriend."Charlie replied.

Samantha was Alex's older sister who was a freshman in highschool. We had interacted a few times between pick-ups and drop offs but weren't even friends. She was a nice girl but could be a little pretentious at times.

"Charlie listen to me. I am not Samantha and I will never abandon you. I love you bud, never doubt that. You and I will always hang out, even when we're both old, grey and gross."I promised him holding out my pinky.

He linked it with his and we both kissed our thumbs.

"I don't want to be gross and old."Charlie said making me laugh.

I stood up and continued cutting his hair.

"You can't stay forever young Charlie. You'll have to grow up too and one day you'll get a girlfriend of your own then you'll be the one abandoning me."I replied.

"I don't want a girlfriend, girls have cooties."Charlie exclaimed.

"Well I'm a girl so I'll give you my cooties."I yelped before launching myself at him smothering his face with kisses.

The bathroom was filled with Charlie's laughs as he tried to get me off him. I only let him go when I realized he was running short of breath.

Times like those are what urged me forward when it came to working hard to get Charlie the surgery he needed. I was close and in just a few weeks I'd have everything I needed. I had two more months to my birthday and four more before I graduated then Charlie and I would get the hell out of Crescent. I still hadn't asked Henry to come with me and I would when I gathered the courage to ask him to leave his whole life behind and run away with us.

After I was done cutting Charlie's hair, I gave him a bath before making us grilled sandwiches. We ate those as we played Call of Duty. Sometime later Charlie started yawning which was understandable as I had tired him out. I put him down for his nap and decided to put away all our new clothes and tidy up all the mess we had made.

I was in my room trying on some of my new clothes when there was a knock on my door. My mom wasn't around, Robert was away on a business trip and the maid never talked to me so I wondered who it could be. I opened the door to reveal my one and only boyfriend. I smiled and hugged him realizing that it was the first time he was actually inside our house since we officially met. That awkward lunch seemed ages ago yet it had only been a few months. But a lot had happened in those few months.

"Henry, what are you doing here?"I asked pecking his lips before standing aside to let him in.

"I know you said you were spending the day with Charlie but I called you to check up on you and your phone was off. I got worried and when I saw your truck was in thy driveway I decided to pop over real quick just to make sure everything was okay."He explained.

I'd never had a boyfriend before and I had to admit that it was nice having someone truly care about my well-being. The kisses and hugs were an added bonus.

"Awe you didn't have to but thanks, I'm okay. Charlie and I had a amazing talk. He's asleep now so I'm just getting a few things done before he wakes up."I assured him.

"That's good to know. I wasn't going to stay long so as not to intrude on your day with him but since he's asleep why don't we spend some time together before he wakes up."Henry suggested.

It was a good plan but it reminded me of something Charlie had said. Henry must have noticed the change in my demeanor because he tipped my chin up so I could meet his gaze.

"What's wrong? I can leave if me staying is an issue."Henry assured me.

It was so good of him to be so understanding and perceptive but I had to assure him it my reaction had nothing to do with him.

"It's not about you, it's just your words triggered something Charlie said."

"What's that?"

"He said that we don't spend as much time together as we used to. That ever since I got a boyfriend I'm either with you, at work or at school. He was so scared that I would leave him for you, it broke my heart seeing him so vulnerable."I explained.

Henry didn't say anything at first, just pulled me into his arms and hugged me. I wrapped my hands around his waist and buried my face into his chest inhaling his sweet calming scent. I had no idea how I had survived so long without his hugs, they were so therapeutic.

"You are the best sister in the world. I wish Matthew and I had the same relationship you and Charlie have. We would be so far in life. I'm sorry Charlie feels threatened by me but I can never come between the both of you, I'd rather step aside than do that. Maybe I can talk to him."Gently replied.

"I already talked to him don't worry and you are not going anywhere. Charlie and I are fine. We're both growing and will learn to adjust differently to our relationship."I said to Henry.

"Okay good because I don't want to loose you."Henry whispered kissing my hair as his arms tightened against me.

"I'm not going anywhere."I promised him loving the feeling of being in his embrace.

We pulled away a few minutes later and I continued putting away my new stuff while I told Henry all about the day Charlie and I had.

"I've been meaning to cut my hair too, I just never get the time."Henry said laying back on the bed when I mentioned the part about me cutting Charlie's hair.

"It is long. If you want, I can cut it for you."I suggested the words coming out without me really think about them.

"What? Are you sure?"Henry asked sitting up on the bed.

"Yeah, I mean I've always cut Charlie's hair and he looks good if I do say so myself. I promise to do a good job."

"Charlie and I have totally different hair types."

"I know and yours is actually going to be easier to cut. Trust me on this."I offered holding out my hand for him.

"Okay but if your botch the job I'm going to cut it all off, that's a new style too."Henry replied giving in.

I smiled victoriously as I led him to the bathroom.

I grabbed a chair from my bedroom and put it under the sink. Pushing Henry on it, I pushed him down on it, put a towel around his neck and proceeded on with my job.

It was silent between us, the only sound being heard was the water running from the tap and the soft music playing in my bedroom. I was enjoying just being in the moment with Henry and by the satisfied smile on his face as my fingernails scrapped against his scalp, he was enjoying it too. He had such soft hair it was nice getting to play with it.

"What are you doing next Friday night?"Henry asked suddenly as if he'd just remembered something.

"Working as usual, why?"

"Well my dad is hosting a charity event to raise money for the pediatric hospital. It's a fancy black tie event and I'm expected to attend. He intends to announce that he is running for re-election and we need to support him as a family. I was wondering if you can be my date."Henry requested.

"Of course I'll be your date. I can't let you face the the wolves all alone now can I?"I replied.

"Thank you."Henry grinned.

His lips looked so tempting in that moment I couldn't resist the urge to bend down and kiss him. Henry pulled me onto his lap and I ended up straddling him. His hair was wet but with the heat between us as our lips explored each other I couldn't feel the droplets falling all over my shirt. Henry's hands played with my bareback because I was only wearing a white gym bra as I explored his broad hard chest.

I wanted more, I had for a while but I was afraid Henry wasn't ready and I would be taking advantage of him or pushing him to do something he didn't want to. It took everything in me to pull away from him. Our eyes met as we both tried to control our breathing and the lust I saw reflected in Henry's eyes took me by surprise. Looks like I might have been wrong about him wanting me. His eyes drifted lower and when they lingered longer than normal on my chest I looked down to find that my gym bra had become see through and my dark nipples were hard and all out there for Henry to see.

"Well that was unexpected."I laughed getting of his lap.

I didn't even blink from the fact that Henry could see my boobs.

"You're not going to cover up?"Henry asked swallowing hard.

"Do you want me to?"I teased.

He shook his head making me laugh harder. Sweet innocent Henry had sides to him that I was slowly uncovering and liking all of them.

Henry couldn't get his eyes off my boobs so I eventually had to put on a t-shirt as he always kept turning his head ruining my work.

An hour, a few laughs and a few accidents later I was done, shaving, trimming and styling Henry's hair. I took a deep breath and finally stood aside to let him stand so he could see himself on the mirror.

I had shaved off the sides to leave little to no hair and trimmed the top part so it stopped falling over his eyes but long enough to touch the top part of his forehead. It was sort of a drop fade hairstyle.

"Wow, this is definitely new."Henry commented as he looked at his reflection on the mirror.

"Do you hate it?"I asked biting my lips nervously.

I didn't want to mess up his hair or make him look bad.

"No, I've just never tried this hairstyle before but I have to admit that I like it."He confessed.

"Really?" I asked smiling happily.

"Yes."He affirmed turning around to pull me into his arms and kiss me.

"Well I agree. You look very handsome. Too handsome if I admit it. Maybe I shouldn't have done such a good job. Now the ladies won't he able to keep their eyes off you."I grumbled.

"The only lady I have eyes for is you so I don't care about the rest."Henry assured me.

I pecked his lips before starting to clean up the mess that we had made. After we were done we decided to watch a movie but we didn't get to finish it because Charlie woke up and started calling out to me from his room. I got up to check on him but Henry held me back and got up. When I got to his room I found, Henry seated on the bed next to Charlie talking to him.

"So Charlie I hear you've been a little worried about me taking your sister away from you."Henry started his voice calm and soothing.

"Yeah."Charlie mumbled.

"Well from the bottom of my heart I promise you that that is not what I want. I'm not close with my big brother so I don't know what sibling love really is but I can assure you that I will never come between the bond you and Willow have. She will always be your sister and maybe someday I'll be your big brother."Henry assured me.

"You promise?"Charlie asked looking at Henry with his big blue eyes.

Henry looked at me smiling before he turned back to Charlie.

"I promise you."Henry assured him.

They shared a hug and I was pulled into it a few seconds later.

"I have an idea, why don't we all dress up and I'll treat you guys to dinner."Henry suggested.

"Can we have ice cream after?"Charlie asked getting excited.

"Yes, anything you want."Henry replied making Charlie cheer.

"Your bromance is quite cute, just don't let my baby brother steal you from me."I said lowly so only Henry could hear.

"Don't worry babe. I'm all yours. You guys get ready, I'll pick you up in half an hour."Henry instructed.

"Okay, I can't wait."I grinned.

Henry ruffled Charlie's hair, pecked my lips then left the room. Henry didn't have to but his words made all the difference with Charlie. I had no idea what the future held for us but as long as we were together we would be able to conquer it all.
