"I know you'll do the right thing," she caressed over his hair.

Jungkook sniffed more.

"But Jimin is leaving tomorrow."

"Tomorrow," she raised her brow. "You still have time."

"He had changed his phone number."

"You know his address?"

Her words were causing some dangerous uproar in his body.

"I do," he whispered.

"So what are you doing here?"

"Um... the tattoo..."

"You'll come to make it another day with Jimin holding your winy hand."

"Hey!" Jungkook protested but broke out into giggling.

Both had some problems to stop laughing.

"I guess I'll get going I need to visit two places," he sighed getting up.

"Good luck," RoseH showed him her crossed fingers.

"I will need that," Jungkook was blushing setting off along that road filled with the setting sunlight, his heart heavy and light, burning, as he had never before been so exposed to his own self he had been trying to hide all his life.

"Mum, can we talk," it was around 7:30 pm when Jungkook slipped into the kitchen to see her making some cute muffins with smiley faces.

"How was the celebration with the boys?" She asked drying her hands from icing against a kitchen towel.

"Um... mum, can we talk?" Jungkook stopped at the counter.

"Yes, what is it?" She looked at him seriously and all the courage he had stored up during the bus ride evaporated, like his destroyed generator which's pieces were still resting on the terrace.

"Um... mum... um..."

"Jungkook come to the point," she crossed her arms.

"So... you have once told me that if I introduce you to my girlfriend I'll stop being grounded," he whispered not looking at her.

Mum sighed.

"Yes, we have told you something like that."

"Um... so if I invite her... I mean maybe tomorrow. Tomorrow is Friday, so I could invite her for a family dinner."

Mum was watching him in an indecipherable way.

"Good, we can host her tomorrow evening for dinner," she said.

"Great... um, I will go to her now, invite her ok?" He pointed at the hall awkwardly.

"Sure, but be home before nine," mum glanced at the kitchen clock.

"Sure... um... mum? If you meet her I will stop to be grounded, right?" He asked all too hopefully, feeling like a complete idiot.

"We will see about that after the meeting."

"Ok," Jungkook gulped leaving the kitchen in a hurry, his skin all goosebumps because his parents will expect a girl when he will appear with Jimin, but he will worry about it tomorrow, now he needed to hurry to reach Jimin's flat and personally invite him.

All blood was just ice in Jungkook's veins when he was walking down the hall towards that silver elevator, but the guard raised from behind the counter clearing his throat.

"Young man where are you going?"

"Um..." Jungkook stopped, looking at the man, his heart was banging in his chest.

"To Jimin, he... he's my... school friend," he muttered as saying he was or had been Jimin's boyfriend might have sounded too crazy.

"Mr. Park and his record company had made it clear they don't want any visitors," the man's face hardened.

"Um... but, I have been here many times," Jungkook stuttered, cold sweat was now rolling down his back.

"Sorry, you have to leave the building," the man pointed towards the door and everything in Jungkook's body squeezed in protest.

The guard was still standing there giving him a stern gaze, so he sighed turning around to leave the building in a hurry then slam the front door shut.

He was so mad he began to kick the brick wall around a flowerbed right across the main entrance, shouting from pain.

Was it over for real, has he lost Jimin once and forever because of his own stupidity?

8 pm, the clock on his lock screen was merciless, some drizzle was changing into small rain drops, banging against the pavement.

If I won't set off for the bust stop now, I will be grounded forever, thought Jungkook looking down the pavement where puddles were forming.

His hoodie and pants now soaked in, but he hasn't moved from that brick wall in front of Jimin's apartment building for hours.

You have to go, the tiny voice at the back of his mind said, but his whole body twisted in protest.
If he will move from here it means he will never ever see Jimin again and he couldn't have that. Jungkook was pretty sure he wouldn't survive losing Jimin.

The rain was becoming stronger, so it was now hitting his face, his soaked through clothes so uncomfortable and he shivered, becoming so cold innerly.

His gaze was wandering up towards the windows of Jimin's apartment, was he even there, or long gone?

It will bring nothing to sit here, go home, he commented himself glancing at the clock. 8:17.
Two more minutes.

What would it change, his voice of reason was arguing.

Let me have hope, for two more minutes, Jungkook was looking at the time heavy hearted. The rain was rustling against the pavement and trees, the world as if frozen in static. 8:18, his heart double jumped and he was now trembling from fear fighting the tears that came so suddenly.
The timer merciless, the small numbers switching to 8:19.

Jungkook sniffed.

"Ok," he muttered hiding the phone in his pants' pocket, grabbing the backpack to get up.

Thank you so much for all your nice feedback, I was positively surprised with the amount of comments underneath the previous chapter. What do you think about Jungkook's idea to invite Jimin but still lie to his parents? Will he give in and go home?

Much <3
