Amal

Getting to know Jamal all over again was a great idea. I had the best time being in his presence and conversing with him about anything and everything. He just gets it. I am glad I let him into my life and gave him the chance to prove himself and I to him. We talk a lot, it's seems a little unhealthy at this rate. Hah, he says it's just that our hearts are in sync and so is our friendship. He makes everything seem good. Jamal brightens up my day.

I was working tirelessly the other day, there was some renovations that were happening in the hotel and so there was a lot of work to be done and my attendance during this time was crucial - everything had to go according to the plan. It was a hectic day. At night, Jamal brought me take out from my favorite restaurant and a letter that spoke of everything that he went through his day. It was really sweet, he wanted a letter from me though. He's been in Dubai for long, that's only because the sister-company of the company he works for is in Dubai and he asked for a transfer and got it. I am really glad he did. I might have had something to do with that. Since I really prayed that he'd get it. It's been simply amazing to have a friend like him. Rayana is jealous because most of my time goes to talking with Jamal. But she's happy for me.

Nothing with him feels fake or forced. It's all natural and I am truly myself. I don't need to pretend because frankly he sees right through an act I would put on. It does feel like I am finally happy, after a long time. Aunty Hudaa doesn't know, well we agreed we won't tell her until the time comes. I am traveling to the UK for three days, because of work. There's an annual meeting being held with the rest of the shareholders. I leave tomorrow at noon. Jamal said, he'll take me for breakfast before I leave.

"I can't lie to her anymore," I yelled, frustrated.

"So you won't go on with the plan?"

"She doesn't deserve this. I was so stupid to agree to this plan."

"You're in love with her. Aren't you ?" She spoke, her voice frail.

"No I am not. I love you." I said, deep down I was questioning if that were still true.

"You can't even see it can you? All the time you spent with her, getting to know her. Just re-awakened old feelings." I kept quiet to consider what she had said, had that really been the case. I mean I like to spend time with her, but...

"I don't know anymore." I confessed.

"You do know!" She yelled. "I can't believe you. You love her!"

"This was your idea. Not mine."

"Well I only agreed to it because I knew you loved me and not her. That you'd be mine at the end of it all. But this changes everything."

"She's traveling tomorrow." I told her and sat on the sofa. "I am supposed to take her for breakfast."

"So you're going?" She asked, and crossed her arms across her chest - glaring at me. How can I make this better? My fiancé thinks I am in love with Amal.

"No I won't go. We can leave tomorrow and never look back and..."

"Oh shut up. You fall for her and now you want me to look past that and just move on. You've got some nerve Jamal."
