I groaned and turned to the other side of my bed, still not having had enough sleep but the smell of freshly made vanilla pancakes and bacon kept invading my sense of smell and inevitably my whole body.
I sat up, my eyes still closed as I felt around my surrounding, trying to gage that am actually back into the real world and out of my amazing dream of me and Chris Hemsworth as Thor, flying away to Asgard, the magical land and having the time of my life.
I eventually opened my eyes, the bright sun burning my iris and I cursed out loud  squinting my eyes as I begged them to adjust to the real world.
I had a splitting headache, probably from all the drinking yesterday but thank God I was off for the day.
Speaking of yesterday, my mind started playing the events of the previous day and just as everything eventually came back to me, I heard the familiar voices talking downstairs.
I groaned out loud for the second time, cursing out loud as I rushed out of bed but as usual, my ever "graceful "ass ended up on the floor with a thud.
"Am okay."I shouted out loud before anyone could ask if I was fine because trust me, they heard my embarrassing fall.
I didn't care how I looked. I rushed down the steps as careful as I could because I was on a mission.  I just had to come to terms with the fact that...
"We figured you'd wake up around this time, especially after the amount of "juice "you had yesterday. "Said My ever sarcastic and loving best friend Elise, stopping me on my tracks.
My eyes widened as I took in the picture before me.
The kids were sitting on the stools, eating. Liz right next to Zack, but her back was the one facing me, and the most shocking of all, my boss. My fucking arrogant sexy ass boss, was in a black  tshirt and slacks from the previous night. But that wasn't what had me gasping like a fucking fish. Oh no!
Alexander Rodriguez was in an apron. He was actually in an apron and he was cooking! Am not pulling your leg here.
You probably wondering why am acting all shocked when its not a big deal in this century for a man to cook. Well, if what Edd and Val had told me was to go by, Alexander never ever stepped foot in the kitchen. In fact, according to Val, he couldn't even boil water for pasta.
But here he is, not burning down my kitchen and actually making something decent.
"Morning Dee.."He said turning to face me, a pan in his hand and a smirk on his face.
Again, I was left dumbstruck. I didn't even register that he had used my fucking nickname.
He was actually serious about being civil.
"I can call you Dee, right? "He asked again, placing the pan on the burner.
"I think you left her speechless daddy." Said Zoe with a naughty smirk snapping me out of my trance.
I didn't even know kids could smirk??!
"I think so too baby." He replied with an identical smirk
"Actually am wondering what y'all are doing here, apart from my two angels, here." I said as I moved to kiss Zoe and Zack each on the forehead before I dragged a stool and sat down.
The whole time, Liz was literally smirking at me as if she knew something I didn't.
"Hey everyone!" I greeted everyone, taking the plate that my boss just served for me.
It felt weird being served by him and if it wasn't for the embarrassing growl that came from my tummy, I'd have probably not taken it.
What made it even more awkward was the fact that he stood, watching me closely, waiting for me to have a taste.
It made me doubt if it was safe to eat it or if he had poisoned it.

Giving him the benefit of the doubt, I took my fork and stabbed the honey dripping pancake.
"Holy fudge cakes!" I moaned out loud, my eyes closing on their own as a burst of orgasmic flavors burst in my mouth.
To be honest, this had to be the best pizza I'd had in my life. And no am not just pulling your leg here.

"Dee said a bad word." Shouted Zoe smugly and I glared playfully at her.
"She always does. In fact, I always want to get her a swear jar to control her mouth, but I keep forgetting. Definitely putting it as a reminder.." Said Liz, busily typing away on her phone.
The nerve! Here I thought I had a loyal friend who'd back me up all the time. Some friend she fucking is.
"I definitely agree with you on that. In the short time I've known her, she barely finished a sentence without a curse word." Alex joined in and I turned my glare to him, this time it wasn't playful.
"First of all, Elise,"I began using her full name with a smirk because I know how much it would strike a nerve,
"Compared to you, am a saint. In fact, the swear jar would be filled by you. If you don't believe me, we could always take a vote.
As for you, Sir, you can't really blame me for cursing while in your presence." I replied.
"And how exactly am I to blame?" He asked with an innocent look on his face but just like his kids, his eyes twinkled naughtily, telling me he was merely teasing me.
"I'd tell you but I don't want to embarrass you in front of your kids." I replied smugly with pride for winning this battle round though I knew I was yet to win the war.
The whole time, Zoe and Zack watched our banter with amused looks on their faces. Zack was even smiling, revealing his cute dimples.
"I'd dare you to spill but I know you ain't a bluffer and I can't risk my reputation being ruined. You've done enough damage in my life already." He said turning around to face my kitchen sink.
"As much as you two are cute to watch, I sadly have to leave. Got shi... Shenanigans to do. And besides, I got what I came here for, thanks to the most handsome chef to ever cook for me."Said Liz standing up, winking at Alex who smirked back at her.
"Dee, a word? "She demanded, code for me to follow her to the door.

I got up, my tummy already full to the limit, and followed her to the door.
"You owe me a lot of gossip madam... " She said with a no nonsense tone then walked down the hall leaving me with that statement.
That small statement actually meant a lot. And by a lot I mean a whole lot of stuff.
Stuff that I hated to reveal to her but we had a no secrets keeping code in our friendship.
And despite how nonchalant she may say she is about gossip, Liz was a huge sucker for juicy gossip. And mine was definitely juicy.
Closing the door with a sigh, I went back to sit on the stool to finish my tea.
"What plans do you have for today?" Asked Alex as he wiped his hands on the dish cloth and placing it on the counter.
"Nothing. Was going to drop the kids off at yours then come back and chill on my couch. Why? " I replied.
"Well, the kids and I were thinking since its already past noon and its a beautiful day out there, a walk around the park wouldn't sound so bad.." He said, scratching the back of his head as he looked down, nervous?
Yet another shocker. Man! This day was full of surprises.
"Oh?! That's great. You guys could finally show him what you do and even introduce him to your friends." I said to the kids who seemed to be just as excited as me.
"Well, don't let me keep you guys. You have a long day of activities ahead of you." I added.
"Actually, you are coming with." He replied.
"Wait what?! But today is my day off." I protested.
"What dad is trying to ask is, if you'd like to join us for the day." Zoe jumped in, coming to the rescue of her dad, who despite glaring playfully at her, smiled gratefully for saving him the embarrassment.
"Well, its not like I have anything to do here so yeah sure." I replied.
I mean why not? Miss the chance to see my boss outside his usual self? The Winchesters could wait a couple of hours.
"I'll go get ready then we can go to yours so y'all can get ready too..." I began but was interrupted by Alex.
"Actually we'll all get ready here. I've already sent Edd to get us what we need."
"Dad, you didn't even ask nicely. Oh you'll be the death of me!" Said Zoe, shaking her head in an exersparated manner.
I laughed out loud, watching as Zoe this time glared at her dad while he tried his hardest not to blush but his ears gave him away.
"Zoe is right you know, you didn't ask. And since I have control over this house, I might just decide to kick you all out." I said in a teasing manner.
"What he's trying to say is, with your permission of course, could we use your house to get ready?" She asked politely and I awed on the inside at how cute she and Zack looked, giving me puppy eyes. I'd be an ice cold witch to deny their request.
"Sure thing kiddos." I told them making them jump down from their stools and hug my knees.
I felt eyes on me and looked up from our little embrace to find Alex smiling, an unreadable expression on his face and I smiled genuinely at him.
He was shocked by my reaction but the shock quickly faded and his face became unreadable again.

I decided to go with blue ripped jeans,light brown timber boots and light brown top that has a sweetheart neckline that accentuated my boobs ,giving the illusion that they exist and paired the look with a black leather jacket and a small leather sling bag. I decided to let my curls free for the day after all even if I tied it up it would end up frizzy anyway.
I didn't put any make up,deciding to wear my eye glasses and lip gloss so my lips don't look so dry like i haven't eaten in days.

"Okay. Let's bounce.." I said out loud to the rest of my party who were busy watching some kid show on Nickelodeon.
I hadn't even noticed that i had gotten their attention as I was busy looking at my bag,counter checking if I had carried everything I need.
I looked up when the silence was too much and found three pairs of identical eyes looking at me.
I guess they weren't used to me dressing up cause their eyes were wide in shock.
Though my eyes landed on one particular set of eyes. Alex's eyes had lost the astonishment they had and were now replaced with lust and interest. The more he looked me up and down,his eyes lingering on my curves, I felt chills run down my spine,and though I hated to admit it,I liked the fact that I was able to arouse such an emotion in him.
"Wow!you clean up good.." Complimented Zoe and Zack nodded in agreement with a huge smile.
"Thanks guys!" I replied blushing though they didn't notice it cause of my melanin thank God.
"Don't you think so dad?" Asked Zoe with a smirk and something told me she was up to no good.
"Yeah..you look really good Dee." Complimented Alex after clearing his throat though that did nothing to his voice as it was deeper and sexier than ever.
"Thanks Alex..." I said,his name slipping casually past my lips and I gasped when I noticed how I had called him.
"I can call you Alex right?" I asked after a few seconds.
"Yeah. I mean I call you Dee ,right? We are friends after all." He replied with a smirk that did nothing to calm my already fast beating heart.
"Yep we are.." I replied with a smile and his eyes dropped to my lips,then he looked back at me,his eyes a darker shade and he bit his lower lip in a sexy way that turned me on. Damn it!this man was driving me insane.

And the way he was dressed was doing nothing to calm my hormones. He had on a casual white shirt sleeved shirt that accentuated his muscled upper body and showed off his inked arms and the top of his chest and if anything that just made him hotter. To make matters worse,his blue jeans just made his ass and legs sexier. His hair was in made in a sexy shaggy way and he toped his look off with a pair of white sneakers and black leather jacket that hang loosely on his arm.

"Okay. Lets go! We'll be late." Shouted Zoe,breaking me from my thoughts as she ran to the door before us,Zack following close behind.

"Okay guys slow down though..." I said as I followed them behind. I was about to walk out the door when Alex tugged me behind with his arm ,back to his chest.
His breath hit my neck,then his mouth trailed a path from my neck to my ear,biting it seductively and I bit back a moan.
"For the record,you look sexy as fuck. And if I had my way with you, I'd have you tied up to that bed and have my way with you all day long.." He whispered in my ear,sending chills down my spine as he bit my ear seductively making me release a breathy moan ,my mind foggy as it focused on one thing .Alex and what he was doing to my body.

This man was surely going to be the death of me.
