When we got to Naruto's place, it was a bit of a mess. Is he really living under these conditions? How can the Hokage let him live this? "Sorry. It's a bit of a mess." Naruto said, slightly embarrassed. "It's all right." I replied.

Naruto took off his shoes and entered his house as he made his way into the kitchen. I slowly followed him inside and noticed the trash hasn't been taken out nor have the dishes been clean. 'This is place is in worse condition than I thought.' I thought.

"Naruto..." I called to him. "Hmm?" He asked as he got out some ramen. "Is it just you living here?" I asked. "Yep." Naruto answered. He took a seat at the table and poured some already boiled water into the cup of noodles.

"Where are you parents?" I asked. "I don't have any." He answered, quickly. "I see..." I said, softly. 'How sad...' I thought, feeling pity for the young boy. Naruto began to eat his ramen as I looked towards the overflowing trash.

How can he live like this, and in this condition? How can the Hokage allow him to live like this? It's just awful...

"Ne, Haru." Naruto said, grabbing my attention. "Yes?" I answered. "Where did you go?" He asked. "What do you mean?" I asked with a giggle.

"I mean... Last time I saw, you said you had to go somewhere. But where did you go?" He asked. "It's funny you asked that. I'm actually a traveler, you see." I confessed. "Traveler?" Naruto repeated. "Mm-hm." I nodded.

"How many places have you been to?"

"I stopped counting. There are so many places I've been to, it's absolutely beautiful."

"Then... next time you leave... can I come with you?" Naruto asked, shyly. I blinked in surprise at his request before smiling. "Of course, Naruto." I said. "Really? Do you mean it?" Naruto asked. I gave a nod. "I'd like that more than anything." I confirmed.

"All right!" Naruto cheered, in which I smiled at him. "Oh. Don't you want something to eat?" Naruto asked. "No, I'm quite all right." I said.

After Naruto had his dinner, he brushed his teeth and got ready for bed. I tucked him in and petted is head. "I'll be off then. Goodnight, Naruto." I said. I turned to leave until Naruto stopped me. "Haru, wait!" He called.

"Yes? What's the matter?" I asked, turning back around to face him as he was sitting up in his bed. "Um... Could you sing to me a lullaby, please?" He asked while frowning and blushing at the same time. "Sing?" I repeated. "Yeah. I just... wanna hear you sing once." Naruto said.

He turned on his side and faced the wall so I wouldn't see his blush darken. I smiled and approached his bedside, then got down on my knees. "What kind of song would you like me to sing?" I asked. "Just a lullaby. Any one is fine." He requested before closing his eyes.

"Very well." I said before closing my eyes with a soft smile.

Red rose, how beautiful you are

Gallantly, bloom forever more

Pale rose, may you never wither

I will commit myself to you

If the sky shall shower down on you

I will be the shelter through the rain

If a storm shall carry hurt on you

Let me be the shelter through the rain

One day, when time goes by

A day to crumble will pass on by

Always, I'll be by your side

Forever and ever, right by your side

Now sleep tight and shine bright...

When I was finished the song, I looked at Naruto. "Naruto?" He snored softly as he slept soundly like a baby. "Kawaii desu ne." I whispered with a smile. I closed my eyes and stood to my feet. "Sweet dreams, Naruto." I whispered before kissing his head.

I made my way to the front door, then looked towards the kitchen. "I can't leave Naruto in the condition that he's living in. It's too depressing. Hmm... Perhaps I don't have to leave him like this. Perhaps there's something I can do to help him live better." I said.

I smiled to myself as I decided what I was going to do.
