Haru's POV

As I walked home, I was thinking about what I told Kakashi. I've honestly forgot about what I had to do and my parents after I met Naruto. But I just can't forget about my parents, after all they've done for me. I still have a job to do.

I sighed to myself and entered the house. "Naruto, I'm home." I called. "Mom!" Naruto cheered, and hugged me. "You're finally back! I've been so bored without you here!" He somewhat whined. I smiled softly and hugged him back.

"I'm sorry about that. Hey, have you eaten yet?" I asked. "No, why?" Naruto asked, shaking his head. "Because I'm going to treat you to some ramen." I said, smiling. "Yahoo! All right! Ramen! Ramen!" Naruto cheered.

I giggled at his behavior and we went to Ichiraku's.

"No! It's gone!" Naruto yelled, dramatically. "What's gone, Naruto?" I asked. "My ramen coupon! I could've swore I had it right here! Now, it's gone!" He yelled again.

I sat at the table as I Naruto search for the ramen coupon. At one point, I had to stop him because he was taking off his clothes. "Naruto, put your clothes back on." I said. "Not until I find that coupon!" Naruto replied.

I sighed and saw something flutter out from behind his headband. "Huh? What's this?" I mumbled as I picked it up off the ground.

The ramen coupon! But why was it behind Naruto's headband? "Naruto," I said, tapping his shoulder. "Here."

I showed him the coupon. When he saw it, his eyes went wide with excitement. "All right! Thanks, Mom!" Naruto said, hugging me. "No problem," I smiled. "But what was it doing behind your headband?"

"Oh! I got nervous that it would fall out of my pocket, so I tucked it behind my headband!" Naruto explained. 'What a cute idea.' I thought, smiling.

"Well, I'm glad you found it. Let's eat." I said. "Yeah!" Naruto agreed. We ordered our ramen and we began to eat. "Hmm..." I hummed in curiosity. "Is something wrong, Haru?" Teuchi asked. "No, nothing's wrong. This ramen... it somehow taste different." I said.

"How so?"

"I don't know. It just taste different."

"Eh," I shrugged my shoulders. "I guess my taste buds are off because I haven't eaten for a while." I said, going back to eating the ramen. "Wait, they didn't feed you at the hospital?" Naruto asked.

"Oh, they did. I just didn't have much of an appetite there. I guess it's because of the injuries I had. It must've been messing with my stomach or something." I answered.

"Well, well, well. Look who we have here,"

Naruto and I turned around, spotting Jiraiya by the entrance of the ramen shop. "You're finally out of the hospital." He said. "Pervy Sage?" Naruto said with his mouth full of ramen. "How did you find us?" I asked. "Let me guess: You were spying on us again?"

"Not at all." Jiraiya said. "Then, why are you here?" I asked as he took a seat next to Naruto. "I was going on a little trip and I thought you two would like to come with me." He said. "A trip?" Naruto repeated. "Yep." Jiraiya grinned.

"What's the catch?" I said, bluntly. "No catch. It's a mission I have to take and I could use the company."

"Uh-huh..." I said with an amused look. "Haru, could I talk to you for a moment?" Jiraiya said. I nodded and followed him outside the ramen shop. "This mission I have to take involves the new Hokage for this village." He whispered.

"The elders have already decided on who's going to be the Fifth Hokage? Wow, that was fast. Who is it?" I asked. "I'll tell you on the way." Jiraiya said.

"Ah, okay. Hey, Jiraiya. While we're looking for the Fifth Hokage, why don't you teach Naruto how to use the Rasengan? I think it's about time. Don't you?" I suggested. "I was already thinking the same thing," Jiraiya smiled.

"That boy is full of potential. You trained him well, Haru."

"Thank you."

"Hey, what are you guys talking about?" Naruto asked as he tugged on my sleeve. "We're just talking about random stuff, sweetie. Naruto, we should go home and get packed." I suggested. "What?! We're really going?! What if he tries to pull a move on you?!" Naruto said.

"Oh, I would never let Jiraiya do that." I assured him. "Hey, I'm right here, Haru." Jiraiya whined. I playfully smiled at him, then turned my attention back towards Naruto. "Mom, what would be the benefit of us traveling with this pervert?" Naruto asked, frowning towards Jiraiya.

"Well, I was gonna teach you a new technique, but I guess I'll just go ahead and teach it to Sasuke instead. I'm sure he's way more interested." Jiraiya said, trying to bait him. "Now, slow your roll there, Pervy Sage! I never said I wasn't interested! What's this technique?" Naruto said.

"We'll just have to see and find out for ourselves, now won't we?" I said, smiling. "Come on, let's go home. The sooner we get packed, the sooner we can leave."

"All right! Road trip!" Naruto cheered, and hurried on home. I giggled at his enthusiasm and ran after him. "Hey, wait for me!" I called.

Once we were packed, Naruto, Jiraiya, and I headed off to. As we were walking, Naruto stopped by a shrine and began playing with the large bells. "Naruto, be careful with those." I warned. "He's gonna get cursed if he keeps doing that." Jiraiya mentioned.

"Naruto, don't play with those. Jiraiya said, you shouldn't play with those. You'll be cursed." I informed him. He didn't hear me as he made clones of himself and continued to mess the bells. While he was doing that, I decided to talk with Jiraiya.

"So, who did the elders choose to be the next Hokage?" I asked. "They chose Tsunade." Jiraiya said. "Tsunade, huh? Do you even know where she might be, Jiraiya? With that problem of hers, it'll be almost be impossible to find her since she's always moving around." I mentioned.

"Her problem?" He repeated.

"You know... that problem. Gambling."

"Ah, I see," Jiraiya chuckled. "Well, I don't think that'll be a problem for us."

"I hope not." I mumbled. "Whoa!"

We both looked towards Naruto when he got tangled with the bells and rolled down the small hill, stopping at our feet. Jiraiya and I sighed and I kneeled down to help Naruto get himself untangled. "I told you not to mess those, didn't I? Now, look at you." I said as I helped him.

"Sorry." Naruto mumbled. I smiled at him and got the bells off him. Once he was free, we put the bells back in their place and we paid our respects. "All right, you two. Let's get a move on." Jiraiya called.

We followed Jiraiya into a small town as it looked like they were throwing a festival of some kind. "I don't think we're going to find her in this kind of place, Jiraiya. We should keep moving." I said. I looked at him and saw him staring at something in the distance.

"Jiraiya? Yoo-hoo?" I said, waving my hand in front of his face. I followed his gaze to find out the something he was staring at was actually a someone. A beautiful woman who seemed to be seducing him.

It didn't take him long to fall for her charm as he hurried on over to her, leaving Naruto and I behind. I sighed. 'Oh, Jiraiya.'

"Come on, Naruto. Let's go check ourselves into a hotel and wait for Jiraiya's return." I said. He agreed and we checked into a nearby hotel. Once we got settled in, I had Naruto focus on his chakra while I unpacked our bags.

"I swear, Mom. That Pervy Sage is just wasting our time. This trip is pointless." Naruto complained. "Now, Naruto. Don't doubt him just yet. Yes, his actions are... tedious. But he's a really good teacher, I promise." I assured him.

Naruto continued to focus on his chakra for a while until there was a knock at the door. "Who's that?" Naruto asked, curiously. "Perhaps Jiraiya finished his little time with the woman already." I assumed.

I went over to the door and opened it. Instead of expecting Jiraiya on the other side, there were two men in black cloaks with red clouds on them. What caught my interest was that one of them had the Sharingan. I wasn't sure if he was just trying to scare me or what.

"Can I help you, gentlemen?" I asked, casually as I completely unfazed by the Sharingan. "We're looking for Naruto Uzumaki." The man with raven hair said.

"I see. Excuse me for a moment," I closed the door slightly and looked at Naruto. "Naruto, stay inside the room and no matter what, do not come out." I instructed. "Why? What's going on?" He asked.

"Everything's fine. I'll handle this." I said. I opened the door again and stepped outside the room, closing the door behind me.

"Why are you looking for Naruto? Has he done something wrong? We just got here." I said. "And who are you, if I may ask?" The man with blue skin asked.

"I'm his mother."

"Oh, is that so?"

"Yes."

"Mom, what's taking so long? Who are you talking to?" Naruto asked, opening the door a bit. "Naruto..." The raven-haired man said, looking at him. "Huh? Who are you guys? Do you know my mom, too?" Naruto asked, stepping out of the room.

"Naruto, what did I say? Go back inside the room." I ordered. "Not so fast. Why don't the four of us go for a walk?" The raven-haired guy suggested.

"A walk?" Naruto repeated. "I don't think so. Naruto, stay behind me," I said, pulling him behind my back. "I'm not letting you take my son."

"Oh, we'll see about that." The blue skinned man said, taking a step forward. I kept Naruto behind me as I backed away from the man. Just who are these guys? What's with the robes? And why do they want Naruto?

I noticed the blue skinned man had his hand on the handle of his blade, preparing to strike.

"Sasuke... It's been a long time." The raven-haired man said. I looked past the two men and spotted Sasuke across the hall. 'Sasuke? What's he doing here?' I thought. "Itachi... Uchiha." Sasuke mumbled. "Uchiha?" Naruto repeated.

'Wait, so this is Sasuke's relative? I've got a bad feeling for what's about to happen.' I thought, nervously.
