Never in his entire life has his body demanded so much rest, but after last night’s events he couldn’t just take it. You were still unconscious, and he took notice that your wounds were healing slower, much slower so he took it upon himself to wrap them with bandages. He did the same for Itachi, and eventually, he needed to cook something for the three of you.  Once done, he attempted to wake you both so at least he could feed you, but he had no response.

A long sigh escaped his lips and laughed. Ah, how he despised having to take care of others but he somehow got used to it when he was in charge of taking care of you after you had to cure someone. Yes, there were others but apparently Goro was fit for the job. He was just taking a seat on a chair outside of the rooms, waiting for either of you to show movement.

Something crushed on the ground, and the noise was coming from where Itachi was resting. He sprung to his feet and rushed to the room, he opened the door only to see Itachi siting up. What had fallen was a cup of water, however Itachi was just sitting there looking at the spilled water. Once Goro walked toward him, Itachi looked up.

Goro noticed that Itachi’s face showed no signs of emotions. “How do you feel?” But there was no answer whatsoever.

The two of them just stood there in silence intil Itachi decided to break it. “How am I alive?” But most importantly, his eyes. He could see so clear. As in response, his hand moved to his lap and watched the palm of his hand.

“I found you, at first I thought you were dead so I brought you here to bury your body.” Goro decided to tell the truth.

“I was dead, how am I alive?” Once again Itachi asked though the tone a bit harsher. Though he should have asked why he was brought to this place.

Goro narrowed his eyes but he had to understand Itachi. “A friend of mine, she saved you. She said that you were still alive.”

No, that’s impossible he was dead. His hands moved to his hair and he leaned forward and just clutched his hair between his fingers. He had hoped to finally rest, after all he achieved what he wanted; to see Sasuke get stronger. He had accepted death a long time ago and while he fought his brother he yearned for tranquility and peace. Now you've robbed that from him the moment you saved him, that pain and suffering will still haunt him. He rose to his feet stumbling and hissing in pain. However, he was surprised to see most of his injuries mostly healed, only a few were left. He noticed that his coat was missing, along some other things. He felt the other male’s hands on his shoulders trying to push him to the bed. “Hey, wait a minute!”

Before they struggled for a moment before they heard steps, however they sounded slow. Before they could continue to keep moving, you opened the door. You looked so tired, and your wounds were still bleeding. Your eyes landed on Itachi as soon as you entered. “You’re awake.” Walking forward, you asked with your voice sounded raspy. This time Goro frowned moving to your side to help you stand up seeing that you were swaying slightly. Your body was still consuming chakra from the chakra stones, almost half of the stones were out.

Itachi narrowed his eyes as he inspected your form, how could you save him when you were in such a state. Unless…His eyes widened. “You’re [Name], are you not?” Finally, he asked.

Yours along Goro’s eyes narrowed in suspicion. “How do you know?” Goro asked stepping forward.

His knees have up on him, so he decided to take a seat. "You are no secret, especially for the Akatsuki." If there was more to it, he didn't seem to want to share any more Information than what he has already shared.

"I see." So others knew too? If it's the case then those were not good news. But as long as you were hiding you will be alright, right? As much as you wanted to convince yourself, deep down you knew that you would not be so safe. "Listen, I know you must want to leave but I think it would be safe to rest until you're completely healed." You're eyes traveled to your own wounds and frowned. "I'm unavailable to cure your wounds at the moment, otherwise I would have healed them by now."

"That won't be necessary. I'll stay here until then." His response surprised you just a little, however, you understand why he decided to accept your proposal. By now Sasuke and even Team 7 must believe him to be dead, so it would be wise to keep himself hidden. There is the possibility of returning to the Akatsuki but he must have his reasons.

"Good. I'll bring you both something to eat, [Name] let's go and take you to bed. You both need rest." But Goro looked much more tired that you were, yes, you were still in the process of healing but other than that you're fine.

"I'll do that, go ahead and rest." He began to protest but you shut him up. "You're the only one uninjured and we need to be protected the only one who is able to fight is you, so go and rest." With that, he shut up but he wasn't pleased but knew better than to oppose your decision. Besides, you were right with what you said. Taking a long deep breath, he walked to the other room to sleep.

While you remained there standing, Itachi had by now lie down on the bed once again. "You should have stayed hidden in Konoha." His cool voice explained.

With a scoff, you turned your head to the side with a scowl on your face. "I would have if they hadn't accused me of a spy, besides they didn't want me there."

He should look surprised but he knows a lot more about Konoha, no surprise there."Those fools." Do they know what a mistake they've made? Obviously not. "I advised you to be careful, do you know the danger you're in right now? Everyone knows you're free. They are more than likely to use you for your abilities, specially for someone known to bring the dead back to like."

"That's not true, I am unavailable to do such a thing." He sure was talking a lot for some who looked rather silent.

"But others believe it." It was getting your knees tired to just stand there, so you turned around to bring him some food. Once you had a plate with soup, and a cup of water you returned back to the room. You placed it on the small table at the side of the bed.

"Eat, you need the nutrients." You looked for a chair to take a seat and rest until Itachi ate the food. In silence the male ate not bothered by your gaze.

"I'll be fine, you can leave." Knowing that even if he decided to leave there's nothing to do to keep him here anyway. It's his choice to stay or leave.

However, you couldn't help but stare at that empty look on him. His eyes looked so dull despite curing his eyes, your own had trouble to see clearly so your  only guess is that he was loosing his sight. Have you made the right choice on saving him? He looked dead inside which made you think that may it wasn't the best to save him. From what Goro told you, you think that it was best to let him rest in peace but you had robbed that peace the moment you saved his life. Either way, it was too late to think about it, he's alive and you're not sure how things will be like from now on. But from the news that Itachi has delivered, probably nothing good. There's nothing to do but wait and hopefully by the time that trouble blocks your way, you're back on your two feet.
