It was a good day, the sun shone brightly and yet it wasn’t too hot, the bird chirped as if celebrating such a day. Or at least you thought but it was only a thought to distrust you from the real events. You know that Madara can handle himself, he is a very powerful man, but even so, he’s your friend and you cannot help but be worried about him. You are not the only one of course, his brother felt the same way, although he held a calm exterior you can tell that he is indeed very much worried. You cannot imagine how he is feeling but if you feel like your heart is in pain as the thought of something happening to Madara, you cannot fathom how Izuna feels, he is the brother.

A week passed by and the war has taken place, but that only made the two of you stressed to think about Madara. You had convinced him of taking a walk and perhaps that would somehow calm him down a little, but with that expressionless mask on his face, it did nothing to decrease his nerves. Your eyes turn away from his form as you both walk around the village, it’s almost empty, that you can see, there are only a few left and those are to make sure that the village is secure. Suddenly, he came to an abrupt stop and without looking away from the ground, he opened his mouth. “Go back to the mansion, I need some time to be alone.”

Narrowing your yes, you walked forward and then stop in front of him. “You’re not going to try to join him, are you?” With a worried tone, you ask.

His head raised a bit to stare at you and they soften seeing your worried face. “I promised the both of you, didn’t I?” Forcing a smile on his face trying to convince you. “You know I love your company, but I just wish to be alone for now.”

Offering a nod, you smile back and pull him into a hug. You feel his muscles tense at your touch but then relaxes. “Alright, I believe you.” With that you pull away and head back to the mansion.

Oddly enough, once you arrive at your destination, are encountered with Obito who you have not seen since Madara and even Kira left. He seemed to be waiting at the entrance as he had known that you both were not in the mansion. Smiling you greet him only to earn a nod from him. Instead of just talking outside, you just open the door and lead the way to the inside to the building.

Madara’s office came to mind when you came to realize that he mere came to inform about Madara’s progress. “Must you be with him at all times?” Although he sounded uninterested, you could tell that he was rather annoyed.

Rolling your eyes, you continue to walk. “Why would it matter to you?”

But he did not respond to that question, instead he changed the topic. “I am here to inform the two of you that we are succeeding. Minor villages have been conquered.” There was a pause as his eyes seemed to gain a shine in them. “You’re clan is one of them, they are now helping Madara.” He hesitated to wait for an interesting response but you just pause your walking, turn around and sigh.

“If you believe that they matter to me then you are wrong.” With an irked expression, you snap.

There is a smile, a rare one, that tugged at the corners of his lips. “I can see. Madara knew that you’ll be worried so I am here to inform the two of you that nothing has gone wrong.” Quite honestly even if Madara is succeeding, war isn’t something to be happy about. There are many lives lost, many innocent lives, children included as they are caught in said bloody battle. As you continue to think, you unconsciously furrow your eyebrows in distaste. “Shouldn’t the news please you?” His voice wasn’t accompanied by that cold tone, there is something, caring perhaps.

Shaking your head, you purse your lips. “I understand what Madara wants, but is it all worth it?”

“You are forgetting something of utter importance. Madara’s going isn’t just to restore his clan, he also wants peace and to obtain it, war is necessary.” Peace. That’s what he also wants, that you found out not too long ago which is one of the reasons why he decided to help Madara. The other? Once a calm and peaceful land where no more wars would take place, he wants to bring someone back to life. Of course, he needs your help which is why he also agreed for you to stay.

“ I suppose you’re right.” Trying to convince yourself more than anything else, you nod.

“I shall be going now.” He began to turn around to leave.

Before he disappeared, you smiled at him as you unconsciously placed your hand on his shoulder. When he stopped his movements, you realize what you have done. It became a habit and that is why your body reacted on its own. Tearing your hand away slowly, you clear your throat. “Be careful.”

There is a moment of hesitation as if he wanted to do something but then he simply turned away and transported to whatever location he had in mind. Having nothing else to do, you decided to go to the garden and just stay there until Izuna returned to give him the news. On your way, you notice that the servants didn’t seem to be around which is rather odd, but you dismiss it as unimportant.

Shrugging, you continue not stopping until you end up standing at the entrance of the garden. Taking a deep breath, you shut your eyes to ease the tension left in your body.

You panic as you try to move your body, but it does not move but once it does, you realize that it moves on its own as if it was being controlled by a puppet. When your eyes finally open, only to struggle more to regain the movements of your own body as you see the group in front of you. There is group of males stand with glares and disappointment on their faces. There is Sasuke, Itachi, Goro, and Kabuto. There is someone else with the ability to restrain you, and that if Shikamaru, but as you try to turn your head to the side, that action seemed fruitless.

Once you are forced to turn your head the other side, you finally see the male, his shadow connecting yours. “What the hell is this?” You manage to growl.

The one who steps forward is Kabuto as he begins to retrieve a syringe and not even one of them mention anything. There is really nothing to say really, their disappointed looks say it all, they know who you are working for. Upon realizing what Kabuto is going to do, your eyes trail the ones behind him and you smile, but that smile isn’t friendly at all. Oh no, that smile only showed your mockery of how ridiculous they were to think that you ever cared for them. When you do that, you feel the pinch from the needle as it is being buried in the flesh of your neck. “Why looking so upset, you all had it coming.” Finally, you begin as your eyes glare at them and you’re sure they can feel the hatred. “Did you all really think that I was your friend?” A mocking laugh escaped your lips. “That’s pathetic! I hate you all.“ Shaking your head, you finally begin to feel the heaviness of your eyelids as you force them open. Now you regain your movements, but that is too late as you crash on the ground. “I-I..” trying to stay awake, you continue to shake your head since that is all that you can do, “can never forgive you.” With the last part being whispered, you fully crash to the ground and your mind renders to the darkness.

A minute, that is all it takes for them to just stand there and watch you. They had seen you with Izuna when you were walking with him, that is when they realized that you were indeed helping them. Kabuto silently kneeled, took you into in his arms and then stands up. Goro is rendered speechless until Shikamaru cleared his throat, that was enough to snap him out of the daze. They huddle together and disappear along with you.

There are many questions in their minds, but those questions will be answered once they get back. Sadly, once Izuna returns there won’t be [Name] waiting for him. As you were taken back to the Leaf, it seemed that the last pieces of the puzzle as coming together.
