I am so sorry, I never realized how difficult the last part for Itachi's result would be. I had to write and then revise it and, ugh, even now I am not fully happy of how it came out. However, I had to take out the interactions of a few, otherwise it would be impossible to finish it. And to be honest, writer's block has been plaguing me lately, so even so, I hope you all enjoy it.

--------------

Six months later, life was just so much better than you had expected. Itachi, usually was just silent but right after both of your feelings were clarified, he became much more affectionate. How could he not treat you properly when you made him happy, every morning he would wake up and he would be excited for a new day because you were there at his side. That was not what concerned him, no, it was your wellbeing.

He noticed a month ago that you were not eating as you usually did, and whenever you did eat, you’ll vomit it right after. That symptom went away but your energy seemed to deplete, and most of the days you would be found taking a nap. He had a suspension, but he did not want to jump to conclusions just yet. Even if adrenaline pumped through his veins, he knew that he needed to do something. That suspension had been plaguing his mind, and he could not take it any longer. So, he searched around the house until he found you just waking up from a nap. Your eyes followed his form, and then you offered a tired smile. But when you caught his concerned look, you sat up frowning. “What is wrong?”

You were worried, he could read you like a book. He stood there analyzing your form but unable to see anything since you were covered with some sheets. “You’re not alright.” Finally, he spoke before he took a seat at your side, grabbed your hand and squished it.

Your eyes softened at his concerned expression. Taking a deep breath, you shook your head. “I have been tired but that is all.”

If that was supped to convince him that you were indeed alright, it did not. “Tell me…” A small shade of pink adorned his cheeks obviously not used to have a conversation about he was about to ask. “What…Other symptoms do you have?” Maybe it looked strange that he would be asking such a thing, especially since he knew nothing about medical ninjutsu.

With a puzzled expression, you gazed back at him. “Itachi…There’s nothing wrong with me…” Then you paused as he decided to harden his gaze. “Well,” you began as you scratched your chin, “my breasts have been rather tender lately. I have been getting headaches.” Involuntarily, you blushed. But why be embarrassed, he has seen you, you have seen all of him so why the shyness? “Listen, if it will make you feel better we can find a medic and have myself examined or something.”

His eyes shifted to your abdomen, already feeling the excitement forcing his heart pump faster. He scooted closer forcing himself not to place the palm of his hand on your abdomen. “What…About your menstruation?”

Your eyes widened in surprise as to why he should be mentioning such a thing. Every month you have it but not lately, you did not make much of it since well…Your body isn’t exactly normal. “I missed it this month but I’m sure it’ll return. It happened several times before.” Perhaps it was a reaction when your body was getting accustomed to many changes, specially whenever you overused your techniques.

His dark eyes snapped to your face, and once your words sunk in, they widened while his lungs refused to work for a couple of seconds. So…He was correct, although you had known that you needed to take something not to end up pregnant, it seemed that you were not well versed with anything related to the topic. It was understandable, you didn’t exactly have anyone to explain to you about it. A knot formed in his throat at the thought of being a father. “You’re,” his hand finally moved to rest on your belly as his eyes softened “Pregnant.” How would he know about the symptoms? He had seen them when his mother was pregnant with Sasuke.

Those eyes of your widened with surprise, and then a hint of happiness adorned your face. Perhaps the baby had not been planned, knowing that there would be risks, but oh, was he happy. “Oh my…I.” Having no words to say, you swung your arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. That lead to a tender and loving kiss. “We’re going to be parents, this is…This is amazing!” Finally, there were tears as you held on tightly.

Itachi simply held on, his heart knocking on his chest loudly at the thought of having a son or daughter in his hands. That was the best gift you could ever give him. For a moment, just as he hard your crying, his eyes began to cloud as his arms tightened around you. What did he do to deserve such an amazing woman like you and a child? He had done so many I'll things, he killed his clan and his own parents. Not only that but he had been selfish and abandoned his main goal which was to take you back to the Leaf. So, why had he been gifted with you and his future child? He cried in silence, it had been so long since he cried and those tears had been of the cause of pain and guilt. But now, those tears were of happiness, his chest felt like it would explode at how filled of happiness it was.

The following months Itachi had taken the ask of doing most of the things that you both shared, probably he feared that something could happen to you and the baby. When the time came for you to give firth, you both found out that you were not expecting one, but two beautiful children. Both males and even if they were still too small, they took after their father.

Months and then years passed, faster than you both expected. Sadly, your children turned eleven, both having the same serious type of character that belonged to a Uchiha. It was tie that you realized the sadness laying behind Itachi’s gaze, of course he was happy, he always showed it. But you knew that he wanted to see his brother, it had been years since he had seen him so you knew that he was worried. Sasuke meant a lot to him after all, and you could not just ignore that. So, after so much though you realized that perhaps it was best to move back to Konoha. Your kids have been isolated from other children, and it would be great for them to see the place that came close to your home. So, you spoke to him and finally convinced him to do just that, he had been elated about the idea and eventually, you all found yourselves returning to a place that you had hated once.

One you arrived, it was already dark but still early enough for some people to stick around. Your eyes trailed back to Itachi, who simply trailed his eyes from one place to another probably recollecting some his his memories. "Dad, is this where you were born?" [N/C] asked, he was older than [Name of other boy] by just a few minutes, but the two acted quite mature for their ages.

Itachi eyes trailed back to you, perhaps waiting for you to answer that question. Having to tell them about their ancestors was not easy specially when it came to Itachi. You didn't have an easy life, but Itachi's life had been filled with so much pain. It was painful, and although Itachi was against the idea of telling then the truth, it had to be done. If you didn't, people still remembered his actions and if they learned of what he had done by other people, that would really crush them and even come to hate him.

Besides, it might sound awful but in a place like this is it reasonable to talk about the truth. "Yes, this is where your dad was born, maybe you'll get to see your uncle Sasuke." With a smile, you placed a hand on a shoulder of your children. "Now, since it's late we should probably find a place to stay and tomorrow can look around."

A look of disappointment passed through their eyes, but said nothing about the topic knowing full well about Itachi’s and Sasuke’s past. As you all walked through the village looking for an inn, but it seemed that your night wasn’t over just yet. You found the Ramen Stand on your way, and although you would have loved to take some time and get something to eat, it was best to leave. However, the familiar locks of hair along with that bright orange clothing made you halt.

A soft smile adorned your lips, but they froze for a bit upon realizing that he was not alone. He was with Hinata, Sakura and Sasuke, all seating together. “Itachi?” Yours and your kids’ eyes followed the figure of Itachi, already deciding that he could not wait any longer. Deep down you knew that he was deeply affected by the fact that he had stayed with you when he knew how Sasuke had left about you. Now though, all being adults, you just hoped that, that was all forgotten.

“Mom, what is wrong?” Their eyes watched closely, but you could notice their worry in their tones.

Wanting to leave them to talk, you had yet to talk with Naruto and the others. It would be rude to just leave while there just there, and you hadn’t seen them in years. You felt static to see them and to talk to them about what was up with them. As you watched Itachi and Sasuke gaze at one another, you could not ignore his glare. After Itachi greeted the others, he began to walk away, Sasuke following him. But when Itachi’s eyes trailed back to you, Sasuke’s gaze caught your own and those eyes of his widened in surprise. Then, they continued in their way.

“Was that our uncle?” Perhaps they had seen the resemblance.

“Yes, they both need to take care of a few things. For now, follow me. Do you guys remember me talking about Naruto and the others?” You questioned as you tugged them forward towards the Ramen Stand.

Their eyes shone with excitement and interest. “Yeah, of course we do. Is that Naruto?” The youngest of your children inquired.

Said individuals resumed their small chat, enjoying their meal. “Naruto?” With a wide grin, you called out his name. Their forms tensed upon hearing your voice, and still being the energetic male, sprung to his feet and turned around. Not even a minute passed before he had you in his arms in a tight hug, and with a huge grin adorning his features. You laughed out loud in amusement, your kids, who had been standing in front of you, were forced to jump to the side.

“I can’t believe it’s you [Name]! It’s been son long since I’ve seen you!” With his also energetic voice, he announced. Once he pulled away, more hugs followed.

“Guys,” finally being able to take a breather, you glanced at your two kids and motioned for them to move closer, “these are my Kids. This is [NoF Kid].” Motioning to the oldest, you introduced, said male made sure to greet them properly. “And this is [NoS Kid].” Finally, the youngest, if he could be considered like since they both looked the same, greeted them with a smile.

They also shared that they too had kids. Though you were rather surprised that Naruto ended with Hinata, and well, who knew Sakura would end up with Sasuke. They spoke about the others and that they too had kids, except Kakashi, Iruka and Kabuto.

“Why…What’s wrong with Sasuke and Itachi?” Finally, Sakura asked, worried.

Your warm expression was gone, and by now you were also worried. It had passed around an hour and they both had yet to return. From the very start you wanted to let the both deal with it and fix the issue, but since they were taking too long which was something to be worried about. “I’ll…Wait here, I’ll go and see what’s wrong.” Telling your kids, you stand ignoring Sakura’s question.

As you left trying to find the males, you heard the steps of Naruto but he was stopped by Sakura who looked upset. When you finally found them, they were facing one another in silence but the trail of blood on Itachi’s chin could not be ignored. With a frown, you continued walking until their eyes turned to you. “What’s going on?” When you arrived in front of Itachi, you stopped in front on him and grasped his chin, cleaning the blood.

None of them spoke, so you simply had to guess. Sasuke hadn’t really forgotten everything as you had hoped. “Are you serious?” Turning around, you glared at the younger Uchiha. “I can’t believe you still have not forgotten.”

“He made a promise.” That was the only thing that Sasuke said as his eyes glared at Itachi.

“And he did the best he could.” Dragging the palm of your hand over your face, you left out a sigh of frustration. “I was the one who did not want to return, and I never felt anything for you. Besides, you now have a family and a girl. Stop being a kid and grow up.”

The saddest part was that when Sakura stopped Naruto from following you, she had followed you and had witnessed your discussion. Her eyes trailed to Sasuke then back to you before she walked away with a betrayed look.

Instead of Sasuke following her, she just stood there with his glare. After a minute of silence, he left the two of you. Maybe it wasn’t as wise as you had thought about returning. “Hey,” with a soft smile, you grasped Itachi’s face between your hands and kissed him. “He’ll come around eventually.”

The male’s pained expression was replaced by warm one. “I know, it was good to see him.”

“Yes, he even has a family you shouldn’t worry. Now come.” Grabbing his hand, you attempted to drag him back to the others.

“I love you.” Those soft words were carried by the wind.

He’s a man of actions, so it was not very often for him to voice those words. He didn’t have to though, all his actions proved his love. But having him say those words made your heart flutter in your chest. “And I love you, Itachi, never forget that.” What surprised you the most was when he pulled you to his chest and kissed you passionately, not caring if anyone was watching. Maybe Sasuke would eventually give Itachi the forgiveness that Itachi wants. Itachi doesn’t need such a thing, or at this that is what you think. No matter the outcome, if you have your family together, that is all he needs.

Just feeling your lips dance with his lips, his heart beating in his chest widely with happiness he held you tightly. Honestly, when he was facing his brother, he felt the need to ask for forgiveness but then you arrived and something within him made him realize something. You  and his children were all that he needed to be happy, you three meant the world to him, and as long as he had you three nothing else in the world mattered.

Grasping your hand in his, a content smile adorned his usual relaxed face. Yes, that is all he needs.
