Finally! This is the end. It felt complete to me but if it doesn't to you, please let me know.

-------------

Within two weeks and thanks to your wonderful husband, you three safety made it to the Hidden Leaf. As the three of you stood in front of the gates, your eyes trailed to Goro and your son/daughter. You hated having to make your child leave his/her friends behind but with a wide smile he/she showed that it did not bother him/her at all. Taking a deep bread and grasping Goro’s hand, you three continued to enter inside the village. As expected, the place was filled with happy individuals, there were children running, chasing another playing. People walked by chatting or simply buying what they needed.

There was a chine in your son/daughter’s eyes as her/his eyes trailed around, unlike your former village, this one much bigger and or course it would catch [Child’s Name]. Shaking your head, you decided to stop by the ramen shop, if it still existed, and eat something. It has been a couple of days since the three of you ate something appetizing. “Before we do anything, why don’t we go and buy something to eat? I’m quite hungry.”

“That’s a great idea, come on [C/N]! Later we can show you around the village.” Goro announced to his kid as you started to walk towards the direction of the shop. Although the memory was a little foggy, you still managed to remember a little of the direction of it.

“So, this is where grandma and grandpa live?” Finally, your kid asked rather curious as his/her eyes stilled roamed the area around with curiosity.

Sadly, as much as you would have liked to leave the parts of your life that you simply wished to forget, you knew that it wasn’t wise to so do. [C/N] would eventually find out so you prevented yourself any issues and decided to tell her/him the whole story even about how you met Goro. Because even if you had suffered throughout your life, without him you wouldn’t be who you were and where you were. You did not regret meeting Goro, the man you loved and your amazing son/daughter. Sadly, you still spoke about your parents who, you guessed, still wanted nothing of you.  “Yes, that is, if they still live. But it would be best not to find them.” Placing a hand on his/her head, you shuffled his/her hair earning an unsatisfied ‘mom!’ from your kid.

Shaking a smirk with Goro, you all finally arrived at Ichiraku Ramen which surprisingly enough, looked the same. Content to see a few spots open, you three hurried it and took a seat. The person attending the restaurant was probably the owner’s daughter, not that you knew either of them as Naruto would. So, once you both took a seat, you ordered whatever you three wanted and began to eat. When your hunger was satisfied, you turned around standing up and ready to leave. However, you were met with the soft orbs of Iruka and Kakashi. They looked a little older and with a good reason, 12 years have passed after all.

A wide grin appeared on your face as you stepped forward while Goro and [C/N] stood back allowing you some space. The males simply watched your with wide eyes, rather surprised to see someone that they had never thought would eventually return. Offering a wide grin, you stepped forward and took a couple of minutes to greet them with a hug but they still had been in shock to return the action. Goro watched in silence as your action, and he could not ignore the pang of jealously. ‘[Name]?” Finally, the soft voice of Iruka asked now without the shock.

“Yeah, it’s so good to see the two of you.” You began but when their eyes shifted over your shoulders, you turned around and motioned for Goro and [C/N] to move forward. Goro gladly stepped forward, wrapping his arm around your waist while placing your son/daughter in front of the two of you. Goro simply greeted with his head but with a smile on his face as well. When Iruka’s and Kakashi’s eyes trailed to your kid’s face, they could not help but see the resemblance. He/she inherited Goro’s eye and hair color but he/she looked a lot like you. “Guys meet our son [C/N], [C/N], meet Iruka and Kakashi.”

For a moment disappointment flashed upon their eyes but it was completely erased with a smile of their own. They greeted your son/daughter but their eyes trailed back to your face. “You…haven’t changed at all.” Kakashi announced but already knowing as to why.

Pursing your lips, you glanced down to your kid and then at Goro. With a simple nod, he said something to [C/N] and they both left you to talk. “Actually.” Frowning, your eyes trailed to Goro and [C/N] as they approached a shop. “That’s why I returned.” Your gaze trailed back to the two males in front of you with guilt in them. “I wish I could say that I came back because I truly desired it, but the truth is, I came back searching for Kabuto.”

Kakashi nodded knowing where you were getting at. “You haven’t aged.”

As he informed, you nodded confirming it. “I know we just saw each other but I really want to find Kabuto and find a solution.”

At your announcement, Iruka decided to say his farewell knowing that he should get something to eat before heading back to the academy. “In that case, I’ll leave the two of you.” With that, he continued his way to the ramen shop leaving you and Kakashi alone.

“Follow me.” Right after, you both were silent for a moment but Kakashi’s eyes trailed to your form when you were just looking right ahead with a goal in mind. “When…Did Goro find you?”

His sudden question startled you. After taking a deep breath, you told him everything. “What about all of you?” When you asked, his eyes shifted to the ground as he buried his hand in his pockets. He explained that everyone got married and had kids, that is, except him and Iruka.

Raising an eyebrow, you shook your head. “I’m rather surprised to hear that, you both are great man and was certain that by now you would have found someone. Besides, you both are really good looking.”

At your explanation, a wave of pain crossed his chest. That might have been true, but none of these women had been the woman that he had loved and maybe still he does. “Tell me, are you planning to stay here?”

“We still have yet to decided but [C/N] has a life back home, I cannot take that away from him/her.” Admitting that perhaps you would probably return to what you could call home, smiled sadly.

“I see.” When you both came to stop in front of an orphanage, he exhaled. “This is where you can find him, however, as much as I want to stay I have to go.”

“It’s alright, thank you and it really is great to see you once again.” He responded with a nod and his gaze lingered on your form for a little longer and then disappeared.

So, deciding not to waste any more time, you knocked at the door while you turned your head to the side noticing Goro and you son/daughter approaching. You had to only knock once, because soon the soon was opened by none other than Kabuto. His eyes seemed a little annoyed but when your stood there with a smile, they softened. “It’s really you, isn’t it?”

His calm voice questioned as he stepped forward knowing that the loud chattering of the kids wouldn’t allow him to keep a decent conversation. Like before, you embraced the male who, without hesitation, returned the action. When you pulled away, you studied his face and noticed that he looked more gentle and you came to a conclusion that the orphanage had something to do with that. "How have you been?" You questioned with a small smile.

A long sigh left his lips before he uttered a word. He motioned for you to wait as he turned around entering the house and then returning. "Why don't we take a walk?" He suggested as he began to motion with his arm. Your sight trailed to Goro and your kid, Goro nodded as your eyes caught his.

"Yes, of course." Even if he still had yet to answer your question, you just hoped that things were alright with him.

"I have been doing great, mostly busy but it doesn't bother me. What about you?" As you walked side by side, the gray haired man asked as his eyes trialed to your form. He would have asked you why you came back but he didn't need to ask, he could see it just by watching you. It certainly had something to do with how you were aging, or in this case, the lack of it.

As all the memories flashed in front of you, a wide and content smile adored your face. What could have happened to see you that calm, relaxed and happy? "I have been doing more than great, it might sound cheesy but I am as happy as I can be." Coming to a stop, you turned around to see if Goro and [C/N] were following. As expected, they were, they were walking amongst themselves as Goro pointed to certain spots. "There's Goro, my husband and my son/daughter."

At your announcement, Kabuto's eyes widened with surprise. So, Goro did really find you? Not only that but, he managed to form a family with you? A sad smile formed on his lips, he would have been that man if he had actually searched for you but he did not. A hint of regret stabbed his beating organ but he shook his head, what could have or could have not been is part of the past. As much as he did not liked what stood in front of him, as long as you were happy he shouldn't complaint.

"I'm sorry." Before he said anything, you started. "I... Honestly, I did not intend to return. I am even more ashamed as to why I am here." You scowled as you faced the man."Kabuto, I need your help." His beating organ began to skip a beat as your gaze traveled to the ground. "I am not aging and I just cannot stand and watch while Goro and [C\N] get older and then just banish. I don't think I could ever endure that pain."

Although there was not much knowledge about your healing abilities, and you were indeed not again, then that could mean that you possessed something quite similar to immortality. Others would give anything to obtain such ability but he understood your concern. "I must admit that I should have known that could have been a possibility. During these years I have dedicated my life to help the orphans, however, if Naruto is willing with the right resources, I might be able to investigate. But I cannot guarantee that I will find a solution." There was something else that crossed his mind. "There is another possibility." At that, your eyes trailed back to his own and he could notice pain in them. "I cannot say it will work, but just like you can transfer wounds to your own body, I believe the same can be done with aging."

"No...I can't, it's not normal. Death is a natural thing and I don't intend on robing them from that." Why would you, your son/daughter will eventually want to form their own family. And to be rather honest, living for ever didn't sound too pleasing.

"I see. In that case, I will need some time and like I said, I cannot guarantee that I will find a cure." That was all that you needed to hear.

"That's good enough, you don't know how grateful I am. Thank you." But should you really be thanking him? That thought crossed his mind. He was after all, partly responsible for your aging problem.

You caught up fast and knew what he was thinking. "Stop it. The past if the past and to be honest, thanks to what happened I was able to meet my husband and have my kid. I do not regret such joy in my life." If that was not enough, your soft gaze and smile supported what you just said.

"Thank you. I should not waste any more time, I'll talk to Naruto and get to work as soon as possible. I'll contact you to retrieve blood samples." With a smile, he walked away.

Maybe you hadn't realized but by now it was getting late and it would be best to find a place to stay. Maybe a house for rent since you still don't know how long you'll be staying. It took hours and when you finally found something, it was alright dark outside. It was a small home with two rooms, a kitchen and a bathroom.

The next day you, as the three of you walked around, you found out that a small festival was taking place. So, as much as you wanted to see your friends you decided to enjoy the day with your family and besides, you knew that you'll run into them. And that you did when you all came to stop in from of a restaurant. Goro and you were looking for a spot while you strictly told [C/N] to stand in front of the restaurant and wait. But when you motioned for Goro, once you found three spaces, your eyes trailed to your kid and watched as TenTen, Lee, and Sakura were standing right in front of him/her, questioning her/him.

So, Goro decided to make sure to save the seats while you greeted your friends. "So...You're not from around here?" TenTen questioned as her eyes trailed to your kid, who watched curious to your friends.

"No, I came with my mom and dad for the time being. Is there a reason as to why you are interrogating me?" Upon the acusation, Sakura and TenTen laughed nervously.

"I like your youthfulness! Isn't that right TenTen?" The make asked with such an energy that only him had.

"Actually," the pink haired female began as her features narrowed, "you look exactly like someone we know."

Laughing, you dodged a couple of people as you made your way to them. "That's because he/she is my son/daughter." At the sound of your voice, their eyes trailed to your form. When you stopped in front of them, their eyes widened unsure of what to do. That is, until TenTen threw herself at you and brought you into a hug.

"Dang it woman! Finally you decided to show up, do you know how worried we were when you left?" Pulling away, she scolded.

"I know, I'm sorry I made you all worry!" And then Lee had you in a hug as well before leaving, where you didn't know.

Your eyes trailed to Sakura who greeted you but a she seemed indecisive about something. "How have you guys been doing?" Once more, you asked as you eyed the two females.

"Not as good as you! Look at you, you haven't aged at all." She crossed her arms across her chest.

Laughing nervously, you decided not to touch that topic. "Ah, I haven't introduced you. TenTen, Sakura, this is [C/N ], my son/daughter." Then your gaze turned to your kid. "This is TenTen and Sakura."

A wide grin appeared on your kid's face as his/her eyes scanned their faces. "Hello, it's a  pleasure to meet you."

"Oh wow, he/she is so polite." TenTen commented.

Soon you found out why Lee had left so suddenly. Trailing behind him was a group of familiar faces. Neji, Kiba, Ino, Shikamaru, Sasuke, Itachi, Naruto, Hinata, Gaara, and a bunch of kids.

Naruto was the first to rush to you and capture into a crushing hug. Then the others followed, even the stoic Sasuke. "I couldn't believe it when Kabuto informed me that you had arrived! It's so good to see you!" The blond male laughed with a wide grin.

Glancing back to Goro as he patiently waited for you, you shook your head and motioning for him to join you. Everyone's eyes trailed to the male, and their gazes followed his movements as his hand joined yours in a sweet and loving way. "It has been a while, hasn't it?" Your hand pushed your kid in front of you as your other arm rested on his/her shoulder. He/she did not complain, there was an air of calmness and curiously as his/her eyes studied everyone. Most of the kids were younger than [C/N], and a little impatient. "Anyway, as you already know, this is Goro, my husband and this is [C/N], my son/daughter."

Once you introduced your family, there were gasps of shock and surprise. If you didn't know any better, Sakura's and Hinata's eyes trailed to their husbands and then back at you. You felt it, and you saw the awkwardness their eyes bore into your own. What they were think, you weren't entire sure but your gut told you a little of what it was. Goro seemed to sense your slight discomfort, so his arm was placed around you as he hugged you tightly and sharing a conforting smile. "I suppose you have kids?" Goro inquired.

"Right! Sorry. This is Boruto and Himawari." Naruto introduced his own kids, Boruto looking identical to him while Himawari looked a lot like Hinata.

Sakura placed her hands on her kid's shoulders, and smiled as her eyes trailed to Sasuke. "This is Sara, our daughter." The girl looked more like Sasuke.

"What a drag." Shikamaru grumbled. " This is Shikadai." And like the rest, the young kid resembled his father.

"This is Inojin." Ino announced.

"Why don't you kids take [C\N] with you and show him/her around?" TenTen suggested. The kids seemed a little hesitant but eventually they took your kid with them and walked away from you.

Sharing a smile as you watched your son/daughter begin to talk with Boruto who seemed as lively as Naruto, you almost imagined yourself when you first met your friends. It was strange how so much time has passed.

So, at the end, it was decided that it would be best to find a good place to settle down and chat. When that happened. "So, I'm curious how you guys got together." Perhaps it was something that was plaguing everyone's mind but Ino asked.

A knowing glance was passed from you to Goro, said male grasping your hand and kissing it then smiling. "Well," he began, "I searched for her and it took my months to do so. When I lost most of my hope of finding her, I just, I just came upon her. Since then, well," he hugged you tighter, "she decided to give me an opportunity." After that, what there more to say?

Then, you all simply chatted. But there was definitely something crossing some people's minds. If Goro was able to create a family with you when he found you, what if they had done the same. There was a possibility that the family you had could have been with either of them. But that is the past, whether they truly loved the woman they were with or not, you seemed content with your life, your husband and you son/daughter. Besides, they love their children they shouldn't even regret that.

As Kabuto had promised, he obtained the blood samples and got to work of a cure but for it to be found, it could take him weeks, months or even years. Or worse, there could not be a cure at all. But no matter what happened, whether you found a cure or not, what mattered is that you had the unconditional love and support of your loving husband and son/daughter.

There was an undeniable jealousy among some of your female friends. Why? Because something, the love that you and Goro had seemed so surreal. How could a love like that exist? They had seen that even the happiest couple had marriage problems but you both...That kind of love was different.

The love that Goro had for you, and the love you had for him was something to be admired and that only proved that that kind of love did not only exist in a fairytale.  No, you and Goro could prove just that.
