Silence. It’s perhaps one of the things that this place lacks along with other things, but what the most would desire is a moment of pure silence. Every day, there’s not a single moment of piece, there’s always the hurried steps, the screams, and agonizing groans of pain. There have been times where sobbing and even crying took place, most of the time when the dead were brought back. Other times were when the Shinobi/ Kunoichi simply snapped and broke into crying. It was and is understandable that people just need a moment of silence, a moment where they can cry. War brings destruction and pain. Have you cried? No. It’s painful watching so many dead but even if you want to cry, you can’t. Perhaps it doesn’t seem reasonable but it is, you need to look strong, no, to stay strong for those who can’t.

As you lay wide away on your bed, you don’t feel like standing up just yet. It’s early in the morning but your consciousness returned maybe two hours earlier than you usually wake up. Your parents. You’re not going to lie, you haven’t thought about them since you arrived to the camp. Since the moment, you arrived your mind has been occupied by many things, it is surprising that with all you had in your head you were still able to fall asleep, but that was because of the exhaustion. What are they doing now? Do they as themselves about your whereabouts? Of what could possibly happen to you? Smiling sadly, your heart clenched in pain as it already knew the answer. Probably not, they made it so clear about not wanting to know about you. You understood and still understand but that does not erase the fact that you need them. You haven’t experienced much of their affection since you were taken by Orochimaru.

Turning to your right side, you glance at the exit of the small tent. You can still hear the familiar noises coming from outside. It’s morning, you should at least hear the chirping of birds, something, but there’s nothing but talking, groans and screaming. You’re tired, and your guess is, so is everyone else. All this time fighting and yet, no progress has been made.

A pair of feet sounded from just around the corner, your eyes still remained on the exit of the tent where soon a pair of feet appeared. That amused smile made it’s way to your lips knowing the person’s chakra. Goro. “I’m awake.” You assure him as he paused hesitant about entering. Taking a long breath, you raise your body to take a seat rather than just lay there. Your fingers made their way through your way to get rid of some locks of blocking your view.

Goro’s eyes stretch slightly as he offers a smile of his own. Once he takes a few more steps inside, you can see that he is holding a bowl and a cup. “Did I wake you?” Finally he asked stopping just a few steps away from you. You mere shake your head. “Good. I brought you something to eat since I heard that you didn’t eat anything last night.” As he stretched his arms forward, he offered the contents occupying his hands.

“Thanks.” You’re too hungry to refuse any food so you take the rise and the water. “Did you eat already?” As you start to eat the rise you ask.

“Yeah, I just finished.” Those green orbs of his watched you careful. “It has been so long since I saw you, I missed you.”

You stop mid action as you offer your gaze to him. Yes, yes it has been so long. At first, he fought but eventually his skills were used to either send messages faster. “It has.” What else can you say? That you missed him? Your mind has always been occupied to even thing about anything other than help the wounded, or fighting.

Goro noticed your troubled expression so he took a few steps forward. Once you looked away from him, he decided to close the distance at enveloped you in his strong arms. “Don’t worry, it’s not your fault.” By now you stopped eating, and yet you felt as if your energy has been drained from your entire being. “You’re tired.” The comment doesn’t affect you, he knows you, of course he would notice. His arms move away from your body, and you frown slightly, his warmth was welcoming. Instead, he kneels down to stay at the same level, he then proceeded to place his palm of his hand on your cheek. There’s a tender and warm gaze that is only for you. “Damn. I’m so ready to take you with me away from here but no matter what I do, you won’t leave.”

“Please don’t.” Feeling guilty as it is, you push his hand away and after he stood to his feet, you stand up and walk away from him.

“Don’t worry, I understand but I wish I could just stay at your side.” No matter how much you moved as you gather your things to get ready, his eyes never left your form.

Your actions halt to a stop, the pair of [Choice of Shoes] rest on your hands grasp, you raise your eyes slowly to stare at him. “I appreciate it Goro, but I’m better knowing that you’re safe rather than having you fighting.” His eyes widen at the revelation. “But also understand that I am able to take care of my self.”

“But do you now how painful it is knowing you could get killed?” Despite the low tone of his voice, you could hear the anger in it. His eye furrowed all the while his eyes held a furious glint but he did not move closer.

“Worry about the other Goro, don’t do this for my own sake. I am no more than the rest.” Not feeling like talking about the issue any more, you kneel down and protect your feet and exit the tent. It’s painful having to leave Goro in such a way, but if you don’t, you’ll snap and might say things you will regret later.

It’s almost time to leave with Itachi, and Sasuke to battle. The pair are already waiting along with, and your eyes narrow, Shikamaru who is talking to them. “Are you guys ready?” You don’t even offer a greeting as you join the pair.

“Actually,” Shikamaru begins, you can already feel your tension begin to pile up, ready to explode, “ you’re staying.”

There’s mo much anger in your gut that you don’t refrain from growling. “Excuse me?”

“You heard me.” Just as Shikamaru repeated himself, Gaara and Kakashi begin to approach along with Goro. Crossing your arms across your agitated chest, you narrow you eyes.

“Good morning [Name].” Both leader greet, of course each allowing each other to talk. Gaara stops in front of him while his eyes remain gentle and yet firm. Kakashi’s visible eye hold firmness.

“Shouldn’t you both be protecting the village?” Not liking where this is going, you hiss trying to change the topic but failing miserably once Kakashi opened his lips to speak more.

His eyes trailed to Shikamaru then back to you. “We received his message and as an order, you must come with either one with us.”

Itachi and Sasuke don’t give any sort of supporting you as you glance at them looking for some sort of help. “No.”

“Don’t be childish, it’s for your own good but also for our own good.” Gaara spoke, his eye narrowed now and that gentle touch in his eyes was long gone. “We’re doing this for our people, whether you want to or not, you’re coming with us.”

Gasping, you look around you to see that all of the males were not about to support your decision.  Naruto? Where the hell is he? Knowing him, he’ll convince these people, but no matter how much your eyes scanned the crowd, none of the rest were close. Rubbing the middle of your forehead in an attempt to ease the anger, you straighten your pose. “I refuse, I hold the same power as any of you and I will not tolerate your unfairness.” Even if you mentioned your tittle, that made no difference.

Kakash nodded, which seemed silly until Naruto, Neji, and Choji walked closer making a circle around the group, obviously ready to take action if you even attempted to run away. “In that case, you leave us no choice but to arrest you.”

Taking a step back you gasp, all the anger gone but it was replaced by the feeling of betrayal. Goro’s eyes glanced away obviously feeling that stabbing pain of guilt. “I…” Swallowing you watch every one. You know they are right, but that twisted pain cutting every inch of your heart making it even difficult to breath only intensified. No matter how much you convinced your mind that they were doing whatever they though was best, not for you, but for the people, that stabbing pain of betrayal bunched inside your ribcage. Once more, you straighten your back, take a few breaths and your expression is set into a monotone mode. “Then do it.”

As you were escorted away by your friends, your eyes landed on standbys who weren’t so sure what in the world was happening. In spite that they did not know what happened, you’re sure that they heard the word arrest, that was enough to set the feeling of disappointment in they being. Their gazes said it all, they once respected you but now, they weren’t so sure.

Glancing down at the ground, you could only think of one thing; how wrong they all are to shelter you. They might think that by hiding you they’ll have a chance, they’re dead wrong. If that person really wants you for whatever reason, they’ll find you, even if you are hidden under a damn rock.

“We have a problem!” Because really, no matter what you all did, unknown to all of you, plans have already been set.
