The next morning, we woke up a bit early, since we didn't want to be late. After all it was the first day of our class in the Elite Academy. We walked downstairs and noticed that a lot of students were crowded in one place. We joined them to see what it was all about. There was a notice board hung on a wall of the hallway on which a map of the Elite Academy was put up.

The schedule for the first day was also pinned there. As per the schedule, our first class was 'Mythology Class'. The location of where that class would be held was also mentioned – 'Mythology classes will be held in the Mythology Lab in the Core Block'. We referred the map to find out the location of the Core Block. Then after making note of the schedule for the rest of the day, we were on our way to attend our first class.

As I was about to cross the entrance of the Quarters, someone pushed me from behind. While I lost my balance, Rose managed to hold me. It was not hard to guess who had pushed me.

I saw Teena with an evil smile curling in her lips, walking before us with her two buddies. She wore a golden frock and had her tiara decorating her golden hair.

"What exactly are her skills, Rose? And who are those girls who follow her everywhere?" I asked Rose.

"Teena inherited her father's gift of controlling steel. Well, as you know Cathy, steel is a good conductor of electricity. I can't wait to get my hands on her," said Rose with a wicked smile. Then she came close and whispered in my ears, "Don't worry, I've got your back." I couldn't help but smile looking at the small, thin girl who acted so tough and courageous.

"The one with the brown-hair is Sophie and the other one is Jessica. Their powers are invisibility and shape-shifting respectively. I am sure you can take care of them with just a single whip of your hand," she said chuckling.

"I hope so. But I really need to learn to control my powers first," I said trying to manage a smile.

We reached the Core Block. It was so huge and looked ancient. It was made up of marble stones and it glittered in sunlight. There was a huge water fountain in front of it, shaped as a white cloud from which the water flowed into six separate discs continuously. Each disc made of white stones, was differently leveled from the ground. The entire fountain was surrounded by a stony structure which was half my height.

We then entered the massive arched entrance and found that it was a high ceiled building with a huge hallway in it. It had staircases extending on both sides. As per the map, we climbed the huge staircase on the right in order to reach the Mythology Lab. Though we were in the first floor, it was so high from the ground. It was as if we had climbed three floors.

There we saw a lot of rooms and there was one room with the signboard 'Mythology Lab' in it. Next to the signboard was a huge door. We first graders rushed into the lab. Inside the lab, there was already a person seated in the Professor's chair. He wore a white stylish overcoat. He waved his hand indicating that we could enter and so we did.

The lab was huge. It had lots of rows of chairs and tables arranged neatly. We took the chairs at the second row. The room was bright and had lots of windows. The windows adjacent to the door were made of glass. The windows on the other side were made of steel and through it we were able to see the fountain which was at the entrance of the Core Block.

Once we had assembled in front of him, he got up and raised his hands gesturing us to take our seats. I couldn't take my eyes off his white hair which looked as white as the clouds but he really didn't seem older than 45 years. "Welcome, my dear students. My name is Phill and as the headmaster of the Elite Academy, I extend my heart-felt welcome to one and all," he began in his clear and loud voice. "First graders are my favorite Elites as you are all always so fresh and enthusiastic. You students are like buds ready to blossom into beautiful flowers while we professors, are like the water and the light that helps you bloom. You young ones have great potential present latent inside you. We are here to help you realize that potential and to guide you to do greater good. And now to tell you all a little about the 'Grader System' in our Academy – there are four grades here starting from the first to the fourth. You, first graders, and the second graders will be provided with training to use your powers through various classes. The third graders will be asked to train individually with professors based on their skills. The fourth graders will do missions in various parts of Illusia on behalf of the Academy. This is how your training in the Academy is organized. Apart from the classes assigned to you, you can train in the Academy whenever you are free. You can always approach me, the professors and your senior graders if you have any doubts or if you need anything. After you complete all your grades you can join the Training Camp to become warriors and protect Illusia from dangers else you can do jobs related to your powers."

"Remember children, you are the future of Illusia and Illusia depends on you as much as you are on it. We can only guide you in the proper direction but it is upon you to use your powers wisely. Well, coming to an important note, today is the first day of your Academy. This reminds me something, to both the residents of Illusia and the blue-bloods, know that from the day you step foot in the campus of the Academy you become a part of the family of the Elites. And as today is that day, it is a day to be celebrated and remembered," he then raised both his hands. The table lamps in each bench started glowing and from them white sparkles appeared and circled each and every one of us. Each sparkle resembled a tiny star. It was as if we were in the centre of a shower of twinkling stars.

I gasped and when I looked around, I realized that I was not the only one. Some students had started to applaud.

Then Headmaster Phill continued, "Maintain this energy and happiness always. Very well students, your first class is about to begin. Remember children, 'First impression is the best impression'. Keep that in mind and create a good one. Be good and enjoy the classes because Learning is fun in this Academy. My best wishes to everyone present here." And then he departed.

As soon as he left, a tall and a lean person with curly brown hair and blue eyes bespectacled with blue rimmed glasses entered the class. He wore a blue overcoat over his white shirt. "Always remember the past, your past, 'cause in the future, the past tends to repeat itself," with that weird note, he introduced himself as the Mythology Professor - Michael.
