Cruz POV

"this is the beach house you guys rent?" Denver was shocked.

"ya we have been coming here since we where kids." i informed him.

"wow this place his huge" he was gushing as he stood in the front entrance.

"alright so we have the basement all ready for you boys. but remember we have to be up at decent time tomorrow. so don't stay up all night." mom gave us her mom speech.

"alright mom thanks" i spoke.

"Colton you coming?" Canyon asked him.

"nah Kobe and i are going to chill upstairs." he informed us.

"alright" i nodded.

"so you guys think your getting your cars?" Tyson asked as we made our way to the huge tv room down stairs.

"i honestly have no idea. dads so hard to read" Canyon wasn't wrong.

"mhm well guess we will all find out tomorrow." Gabe was right.

"okay so did you guys see Ava yesterday" Tyson was smirking.

"oh i know she looked so good yesterday" Gabe agreed.

"personally i am more into her friend Hunter" Canyon voiced and this was news to me.

"really? Avas way hotter" Tyson voiced.

"i don't know Ava is just to flashy for me." Canyon wasn't wrong there. Ava thought she owned the school, being head cheerleader and all.

but the thing is she isn't nasty, she actually really sweet. but she likes attention so she's always trying to show off.

"well did you at least invite Hunter to the party?" Gabe questioned.

"of course i did" he was smiling.

"what about you Cruz, did you invite Sam" Denver smirked.

"Sam?" Tyson raised his eyes brows.

"she's in love with Cruz" Denver tells them.

"she's not in love with me, i have known her my whole life. she's my parents best friends daughter" i really didn't want to talk about this.

"dude did you know that Colton invited Quinn Smith" Canyon changed the subject.

"no way, that's crazy. he's is ballsy." Tyson looked shocked.

i sent Canyon a greatful smile. and he gave me a subtle nod.

"so what about you CJ any girls that caught your attention." Gabe asked him.

"not really no" he was lying i could see it in his eyes. and i know Canyon did too. it's our triplet telepathy.

"so i haven't seen you all smiley with Kayla" Gabe grinned.

"Kayla Beckem?" i was shocked i totally did not expect that. she was his total opposite.

she was loud and out going, i mean sure she was on the cheer team. but she was way more then that, she was super smart. and actually in a lot of my clubs.

CJ just kinda smiled. "it's nothing serious where just talking" he shrugged it off.

"well dang i say go for it" Canyon was smiling.

"she just a friend" he says.

"if you say so" Gabe smiled.

"boys you almost ready? your guest will be here any second" mom called out.

"coming mom" i called out.

Gabe, Tyson and Denver where upstairs. we made them wait while we changed.

"they are going to laugh at us" CJ looked at himself in the mirror.

"who cares" Canyon shrugged.

" lets go" i started my way up stairs.

we walked into the kitchen and Tyson, Denver and Gabe started laughing. which caught the attention of my family.

"what are you wearing?" mom looked at us like we had to heads.

"our swim suits" i couldn't help but give a smart ass reply.

"this is everything" Tyson was still laughing.

"just like the good old days when we matched you" dad was grinning.

"i can't believe you guys" Colton was smiling.

"was this what you wouldn't tell me yesterday?" mom questioned us.

"yes" we all replied in unison.

"so dang creepy" Denver voiced.

"you get use to it" Colton wasn't wrong.

"alright picture time" mom called as she had her phone.

so lined all got beside each other and smiled, then Tyson, Denver and Gabe joined in.

"okay mom no more pictures" i groaned it felt like we have taken a million.

and much to mg relief, the doorbell rang. so we where able to stop pictures.

"i'll get it." i called out.

they all nodded so i went to the door, and when i got there it was Uncl Logan and his family. which included Sam.

"hey there's one of three birthday boys. Happy birthday" Aunt Layla smiled and pulled me into a hug.

"thanks" i smiled.

"i love the shorts" Uncl Logan was grinning.

"ya we are all matching" i informed him.

he started to laugh.

"this is for you and your brothers of course" Sam handed me a box.

"thanks i will put it with the others for now." i smiled.

"okay" she nodded.

it was then i took in her outfit, and i couldn't help but think she actually looked pretty good in it. she was dressed for the beach. in a bathing suit top and a pair of jean shorts over her bottoms.

"well look who it is" Denver somehow was beside me.

i elbowed him in the side, i didn't want him saying anything in front of her parents.

"Hi Denver" she offered him a smile.

"hello Sam" he returned the smile.

"okay well why don't we move away from the door." i needed to get them away from each other.

so we moved away from the door, into the living room.

"Aunt Layla" Canyon smiled as he saw her.

"why hello, how was your test yesterday. did you pass" she looked hopeful.

"we all did, now if we just had a car to drive" i knew he was trying to see if she knew anything.

"well as far as i heard you had a job. so start saving." she had the same expression dad did, i couldn't get a read out of her. 

"dang i just wish i could read your guys face better." Canyon groaned.

"alright i need someone to help me out side for a bit" mom came into view.

"i will help you" Aunt Layla jumped right to it.

the party was in full swing. every one has arrived and has been here for over an hour. and we where having a great time. i am glad that my parents trust us enough to stay inside, along with Aunt Layla and Uncl Logan.

mom said she would only come out just to make sure it wasn't getting to out of control, but as of right now it was going good.

but for me it was kinda bitter sweet, cause seeing Sam today. just kinda confused me. it was the first time that i can actually admit to myself that i am attracted to some one. and it's just weird cause i have never really thought of being in a relationship.

so i just needed to kinda clear my head, so i was sitting kinda down the shore a bit. just so i can think.

"hey" i heard Sam.

"hey" i gave her my best smile.

"can i sit? or is this spot taken?" i knew she was flirting.

"you can sit" i tell her.

"so how come your all alone, it's your birthday party. you should be with your brothers" she questioned.

"just thinking" i admit.

"can i ask what your thinking about?" she slowly started to grab the end of her hair.

"life i guess and the future." i kept it simple.

"the future is a very scary and unpredictable thing to think about" she wasn't wrong there.

"you got me there" i agreed.

"can i ask you a question? it might be kinda stupid and i might end up embarrassing myself" she looked nervous.

"sure" i didn't want her to ask what i am thinking.

"do you like me? and i mean like more then just a friend?" she asked the question i didn't want her to ask.

i sighed, "look Sam i am still trying to figure things out. i mean ya sure your beautiful but i just it's complicated" i didn't want to get into it.

"wait are you Gay?" she whispered the last part.

i sighed. "i don't know" i was honest.

"how do you not no" she looked confused.

" i just don't, i mean i haven't been with either. but i can admit that i find guys attractive. but i think girls are attractive, but i don't see myself ever dating a guy if that makes sense" i tried to explain.

"well maybe your just comfortable enough in your own skin to admit when a guy is attractive. i can admit when a girl is attractive, but that doesn't mean i would date a girl" she explained.

"ya maybe" i shrugged.

"i have an idea" she was smiling.

"i am afraid to ask" i think i know where this is headed.

"kiss me" she blurted.

"i am sorry what" i kinda knew this was where it was headed.

"kiss me, and if you feel something or enjoy it. then maybe it's a sign" and explained her reasoning.

"are you sure? i don't want you get the wrong idea" i really didn't.

"it's okay i would understand." she says.

i looked around making sure no one was watching. "fine" i agreed.

"okay" she smiled.

so i slowly leaned in so that i could kiss her. and when our lips touched, i can honestly say that it felt right. like it all finally made sense. i moved my hand behind her neck to pull her closer to me. after a couple seconds we pulled away.

"that was pretty good" she voiced.

"ya i agree" i smiled.

"so it felt right to you too?" she looked hopeful.

"mhm" i nodded then moved so that i could kiss her again.

"just friends my ass" i heard Denver. i knew he was smirking.

damn him he is such a pain in my ass. i pulled away from Sam and glared at Denver . and much to my annoyance CJ, Canyon, Gabe and Tyson where all behind him.

CJ and Canyon where giving me confused looks. and i knew i would have a million questions to answer later.

"we are just friends though" Sam spoke and i gave her a look that i was hoping she caught. i didn't want any one to know who didn't need to know.

"ya right" Denver rolled his eyes.

"believe what you want to" i give up with him sometimes.
