Canyon POV.

"mom did you sign that slip for us for tryouts?" i asked as i walked into the kitchen dressed and ready to go.

"i did it put it in your back pack." she informed me.

"thanks mom" i smiled and went to the fridge to grab the juice.

"mommy will you braid my hair?" Rosie came into the kitchen with a hair brush.

"yes just let me finish cooking okay." she tells her.

"okay" she smiled.

"morning" Cruz came into the kitchen.

"morning" mom smiled at him.

"i have to go i wish i could stay for breakfast, but and emergency came up at work." dad came into the kitchen in his suit and tie.

"at least take a muffin or something with you." mom tells him.

dad nods and mom passed him a muffin.

"alright be good for your mother this morning" dad gives us all a look.

"bye daddy" Rosie smiled and gave him a hug.

"bye honey" he kissed the top of her head.

"gross" Cruz and i called out as he kissed mom.

they both laughed, then dad was out the door.

"where's CJ?" Rosie looked at the empty spot next to her.

"he's not feeling well, so he's going to stay home today" mom tells us all.

"morning mom" Colton yawned then came down the stairs still in his pjs.

"didn't expect to see you till at least noon" mom joked since when Colton doesn't have school he sleeps almost all day.

"i smelt bacon" was his responds.

we couldn't help but laugh. Colton eats us out of house and home.

"alright eat up so we aren't late" mom says as she passed each of us our plate, of eggs bacon and hash browns.

"Apple or orange juice?" mom asked Rosie.

"mhm Apple today" she smiled and mom nods then poured it into a cup for her.

"so you guys won't be home right after school right?" mom questioned us.

"ya it's first day of practice." i nodded.

"alright so i will pick you guys up at what four thirty?" she asked.

"yes" i nodded.

"i have gymnastics today right?" Rosie asked mom.

"yes and riding tomorrow" she answered her.

"ohh ya i miss Dimond" which is her horse.

"all finish up so that we won't be late" Mom says as she was braiding Rosies hair.

"i will be right back, i forgot something up stairs" i lied.

she nodded then i quickly rushed up the stairs. i knew that CJ wasn't really sick. i wanted to make sure he was okay, cause i care about him and know that he is going threw some stiff. i gently knocked on his door.

"i am fine mom i promise" he called out from the other side.

i just rolled my eyes, "wow thanks i guess i need to work on my knock"

"oh sorry, mom usually knocks light like that." he was right she dose the same thing to me.

"it's okay, i just wanted to make sure you where okay before we left" i leaned on the door frame.

"well thanks" he articulated.

"you know if you need me i am here to listen right." i wanted him to know.

"ya" he nodded.

"okay good, i will let coach know your sick. see you later" i informed him before i closed the door behind me.

when i got to the bottom of the stairs, Cruz was waiting for me.

"how is he?" he knew just as well as i did that he wasn't okay.

"he's trying to act like he's fine, when i know that he's not feeling like himself." i verified.

"well until he wants to talk to us, we can't push him." Cruz was right. we had to wait for him to come to us.

Aurora POV

i had just finished dropping off the kids, and was glad to be home. i had so much to do today, a mother's job is never done. but i wouldn't trade it for anything in the world, i love my kids all the same.

"mom can i ask you something?" Colton questioned as he walked down the stairs still in his pjs might i add.

"of course honey, what's up?" i loved that he wanted to come to me with advice.

"well don't make to big of a deal out of it. but i need some girl advice" he was beat red.

"oh" was all i could say.

"ya i figured it might help coming from a girl's perspective you know" he did kind of make sense.

"okay so what do you need help with?" i was curious.

"well how do you know if a girl likes you as more then just a friend?" he went right for it.

"well that's a hard question, because each girl shows her interest towards how she likes people in different ways. like some people are more on the bold side and just straight out say it. others try and hint at it, by drooping understated but very obvious clues. so it just depends." i tried my best to explain it to him.

"girls are so confusing" he sighed.

"so who's this girl that's got you so confused?" i was curious.

"her name is Quinn Smith" he had a slight smile to his cheeks.

"okay and is she in your age?" i pushed for more.

"ya she is, but the thing is. her brother is the guy i got in a fight with" he cringed as he tells me.

this was a surprise to me, "okay" was all i could think to say.

"ya but i was only sticking up for her, he was grabbing her arm way to tight. then he just kinda went off. so i told him that he can't pick on me because i am younger. stand up for my self like you and dad taught us. even though i know you said not with violence. but to be very clear he threw the first punch." he explained to me.

"well i am very proud of you" i smiled at him.

"hey mom" CJ gave me a half asleep smile as he came into the kitchen.

"hi baby, you hungry? i left you some eggs and bacon." i informed him.

he nodded then moved to sit down at the table. i got up so that i could make his plate.

"what did you want to drink?" i asked him.

"orange juice please" he lets me know.

so i poured his juice and grabbed his plate then brought it over to him.

"thanks mom" he gave me a small smile then started to eat.

"i didn't know it was a PA day this early" Cyrus mom commented as she walked into the kitchen with George behind her.

"grandma i was suspended for three days remember." Colton reminded her.

"oh right i forgot, well your face still looks very handsome. so i guess you did pretty alright in the fight." she smiled as placed a hand on his cheek.

Colton couldn't help but laugh at her comment.

"and what about you?" she looked to Cyrus.

"he's not feeling the greatest" i kept at that.

"did you want me to make you some honey lemon tea?" she rushed into over protective grandma mode.

"sure Grandma." he nodded.

"alright i will get right on it for you" she rushed into the kitchen.

"Cyrus left early this morning i saw" George claims.

"ya he says there was an emergency" i tell him.

"mhm i will have to call him later" he muttered more to him self then us.

"so your sixteen in a couple days, have you thought of a party idea yet?" George asked.

which made me actually curious cause they haven't come to Cyrus and for money to start planing it yet.

"no not really, just going to the DMV to get our license in the morning. but that's about as far as we got" CJ explained.

"i can't picture you driving yet." i sighed they where my babies and now they are all grown up.

"don't worry mom i will use my lisence to drive you around." he chuckled.

"my own personal taxi service how generous" i joked.

"here's your tea honey" Cyrus mom placed a cup in front of him.

"thanks grandma" he thanked her.

"so what's this i hear about you driving your grandma to do all her running around to do" she joked with a smile on her face.

CJ just grinned then took a small sip of his tea.
