Look at that cat! This is Chewbacca! Chewie for short! I didn't name him,  cuz he is my stepmother's cat, and I love him so much! Anyways, back to the story!

This chapter has been edited!!

Lucas's POV-

I was completely rendered speechless. But even that, was a pure understatement. As I listened to Max's story, I listened, fully focused, and I never interrupted him. He first talked about his mother's personality, how kind, generous, and how she tolerated no bullshit or excuses. When it came to family, she was a fierce protector, always ready to fight for them. She had always made time for Max, and how they had gone on long walks in the forest in their borders, and how much they loved their little clearing. He then went on to tell me that she was the one who gave him his dragon amulet. I smiled internally at that, knowing his mother was always there for him, and always gave him love and affection. But the worst part almost had me rendered to tears.

He recalled the moment of his mother's death. The rogues entering their borders, how they had found them at their clearing. How Max and Regina had warned the rogues on their strength in magic. But they persisted. Max told me on how Regina had attacked the rogues, only to have one pounce on her, and bite her neck, killing her. That made me sick to my stomach.

He talked about how much he was traumatized, and how he would sometimes get flashbacks of that moment specifically. And the nightmares he would get would come almost every night for 2 months after the incident. It got so bad that he tried to make a Forgetting Potion, but he was too afraid of what his father would say, so he didn't finish the potion. But the part that made my heart crack a little was still to come.

Max told me about how, because of the incident, he had hated werewolves. He would never kill one (besides the ones at the clearing), but he absolutely despised them. My wolf whimpered at the thought of Max hating both me and him, but he perked up when Max hugged me, saying that he had let that hatred go. And it was because of me and my wolf. We had shown him true compassion, and he instantly let that hatred die.

"And that's it", Max finished. "But like what I said. I have let my hatred for werewolves go. So don't you dare think that I hate you over something you had no part in." He was giving me the "don't test me" look, meaning he was dead serious. I internally chuckled. He looked super cute when he was serious, but I did take him seriously.

Max did care for me, and my wolf. I'm sure it's not to the point of love yet, but there are deep feelings. That much I can tell. But right now, he's on the verge of tears, and all I do is take him in my arms and hold him close.

Max's POV-

It was painful, to say the least, telling Lucas the event when my mother died. The rogues, the grey wolf attacking her, my huge surge of magic, how I felt when I saw my mother's dead body, and how my fath- my old First Enchanter, had been emotionally shaken by his wife's death. But Lucas listened intently, and never interrupted. He would nod his head in response every now and then, but he stayed completely silent. Sometimes glints of unreadable emotion would flash through his eyes, but only for split seconds, then they would disappear. But unmistakable anger flashed in his eyes when I told him about the rogues, but relief when I said that had I killed them.

By the end of telling my story, I felt tears in my eyes. But Lucas took me into his arms and held me to his chest. I managed to keep the tears back, but I still kept my face buried in Lucas's chest. He ran his hand through my hair, whispering sweet things into my ear.

We just sat like that, for what seemed like hours, when it was only a few minutes, just enjoying each other's embrace.

"Thank you, Max, for telling your story", Lucas whispered." It makes me happy that you trusted me enough to tell me." I smiled, and looked up at him, meeting his pretty blue eyes.

"You're welcome, Lucas", I said. "I trust you. You have shown me nothing but kindness, and the only way I can think of to repay you, is like this." He had an adorable, confused look on his face, before I lifted my head, and placed my lips on his. He seemed shocked at first, but it didn't take long for him to kiss me back. And let me tell you, it was pure bliss.

Our lips moving in sync, the sparks that flew our bodies; the feeling was amazing, and I never wanted it to end. Lucas place one hand on the back of my head, fingering my hair, while his other hand went to my lower back. Both of my arms were wrapped around his neck. But the best part was when Lucas licked my lips, making me gasp, allowing him to slip his tongue into my mouth. He held me closer as he explored every part of my mouth. But unfortunately, all good things must come to an end.

We pulled apart to breath, both of us panting. After a few seconds, Lucas grinned at me, then buried his face into my neck.

"That kiss was nice", he whispered. My face turned bright red. Damn him! But before I could answer, he lifted his head and pecked my lips.

"Ready to go?" Lucas asked. I nodded, but before I could stand up, Lucas had already swung me over his shoulder. I laughed, squealed, and gently hit his back, telling him to put me down. But he would only laugh and say no. I gave up quickly, knowing that he had already won. He picked up the bags of sweets and walked back to his truck, where he finally put me down. I stuck my tongue out at him, causing him to chuckle and playfully catch it with his teeth. I swatted the back of his head, making him let go, while I cackled. He only snickered and shook his head, then put the sweets in the back seat.

Lucas proceeded to make me blush once again, by opening the passenger door for me. He grinned at this (the ass), then got in himself. He started the truck, buckled his seat belt, and started driving us back to the pack house.

Somewhere not too far away:

3rd POV-

"What do you mean he's the mate to a werewolf!?" the girl shrieked, her anger making the house shake. The spy in front of her shook with fright.

"M-Mistress, h-he was k-kiss-ing an A-Alpha w-werewolf", the spy answered. That only fueld her anger more, as she reached her hand out and used her powers to choke him. The spy began to gag, wheeze, and gasp for air.

"Tell me who he was with!" she hollered.

A-Alph-a L-Luc-as W-Will-iam-s of t-the Sp-irit L-La-ke P-Pack", he gasped. She released him from the spell, causing him to cough and wheeze for breath.

"Send a message to First Enchanter Jefferson Lavellen!" she ordered. "Tell him to be here in one week! We have something important to discuss. And bring to me 2 of the strongest mages in the clan. I have a mission for them!"

"But Mistress, shouldn't we get the First Enchanter's perrmis-" she cut him off.

"I don't care what my father has to say! Just do what you're told!"

The spy bowed his head and rushed out of the house. A few minutes later two puffs of smoke, one red, the other purple, appeared, and when both smokes cleared, two muscular mages, both with their staves, stood before her. They saluted her as the First Enchanter's Daughter.

"Seth, Kameron, I have a mission for you both", she told them. "You are to go to the Spirit Lake Pack, and capture Maxwell Lavellen, and bring him to me alive! Here is what he looks like." She showed them a picture of Maxwell. They both peered at the picture.

"Yes, Mistress", Kameron said. "But how do we get there? If we use magic, that will instantly give us away." She sighed in frustration. She held out her hand, and in a small puff of green smoke, and map of the entire state and a needle appeared in her hand.

"Give me your hand Seth", she commanded. Seth held out his hand, and she gripped his wrist. She took the needle and pricked his finger, making a tiny drop of blood form. She took the map and squeezed his finger until the drop of blood fell onto the paper. She let go of Seth's hand, waved her hand over the map, and the drop of blood ran across the map, leaving a trail from where they were, to the Spirit Lake Pack's territory. She handed Kameron the map.

"There that should do it", she said. "Now go!"

"Yes Mistress", they said. They both saluted her again, then teleported out of the house. She smiled with content. She had been waiting to marry Maxwell Lavellen ever since she saw him from her secret water filled basin, which she used to look at things from all over the world. She had seen him once and knew immediately that she wanted him. And no one was going to get in her way, especially that werewolf! She was Clara Westwood after all. And she always got what she wanted. No matter the cost.

                   To be continued...

AN: So, what did yall think?! We're introducing the villain! I'm very excited to write about her!

Edit: You probably are wondering why I chose Seth and Kameron as "bad guy" names. It's because there are two guys at my school named Seth and Kameron and they just like to give me grief. So, I thought "why not use their names for henchmen?" I also thought it'd be funny.

Love you all and I appreciate the support!
