After I took Hailey home, I decided to call Carmen off of her phone and asked her to come stay with her. I didn't really feel comfortable leaving Hailey alone once I noticed that her medication kicked in, and she fell asleep on the drive home. I parked my car and brought Hailey into her house, laying her down on the the living room couch. I really didn't wanna go wondering around upstairs, trying to figure out which room was hers while she was unconscious, the couch would do for now.

I waited with Hailey until her best friend finally showed up, and even then some afterwards. I had informed Carmen that I would be more than happy to pick her up if she needed the ride, but she quickly rejected my offer and said that her dad only lived about a block away and didn't mind walking. I made myself comfortable in Hailey's home and threw my feet up on top of her coffee table, and turned her tv on while I waited for Carmen to arrive. I wasn't really big on tv so I left it on whatever channel I'm assuming her dad was watching last, which just so happen to be a movie channel.

I silently started praying to myself that David wouldn't come home while I was here waiting, I really don't know what the hell I would say to him if he caught me here, alone, with his daughter.

"Oh hey, sorry that your daughter lied to you last night and went out to a party with me, instead of sleeping over at her friends house. She got pretty trashed and I thought it would've been impolitely to bring her home the way she was, so I let her sleep it off at my house, then fucked her brains out this morning. Don't worry though, I'll be out of your hair in a bit, I'm just waiting for Carmen to show up so I can go beat the shit out of someone."

I scoffed at myself, softly shaking my head; you're an idiot, when I heard a soft knock on the front door, and then it slowly starting to open. I turned off the tv real quick and walk around the table, when I see the little Hispanic brunette walking in, a bag over her shoulder.

"Oh, you're still here," She says a little disgustedly.

"My cars only in the drive way," I state a little sarcastically.

Carmen then walks passed me into the living room, "how am I suppose to know what kind of car you drive?" She quickly sassed, kneeling down in front of her friend.

I exhale deeply, trying not to let her attitude get to me. "She's out cold," I tell her, grabbing my keys off of the coffee table from behind her.

"Yeah, I can clearly see that."

"Oh my god, I can't just fucking win with you, can I. I'm sorry that you guys all fucking hate me!"

Carmen laughs getting up from the floor. She grabs the tv remote, and plops herself down on the small single couch that I was sitting on two seconds ago. She clicks the tv back on, "I don't hate you, Isaac.. I don't necessarily trust you, but I don't hate you."

"I'm not toying with her if that's what you're thinking."

"I'm not thinking anything," she replies. "But Hailey's like my sister. She's been through a lot already, and she's does not need anymore shit added on to her anxiety. I don't care who you are, or how much power you have in this city, if I find out that you do hurt her, Issac, I'll cut your dick off and feed it to my chihuahua, entiendes?"

I tried my hardest not to laugh, but I couldn't help it. I nod my head slowly, ".. I gotta get going though, have Hailey call me when she wakes up, please."

Carmen stops clicking through channels, and turns towards me. "Gotta go break a few faces or what?" She teases, uncapping a water bottle that she had pulled out of her bag, taking a quick swig from it.

Jokes on her though. I start to grin, "nah, just one tonight."

Carmen starts to cough, choking on her water and I can't help but chuckle at the priceless look on her face. "I was just kidding, Isaac."

"Yeah.. me too.." I continue to grin, shoot a wink her way, and walk out the door.

My uncle Sal and aunt Veronica lived a little out of town, so the drive to their place took about a little more than half an hour. I was fucking starving by the time I got to their house, I didn't get to finish my lunch after everything that had happened, so I was relieved to know that my aunt V was already getting started on dinner when I showed up. I fücking loved her cooking. Aunt V was half Hispanic and half Italian, she was always making some bomb ass Mexican food.

I walked into the kitchen after talking over some business with my uncle Sal and Nate, just going over some minor things, gathering up all the information that was needed to know. My aunt V was cooking over a hot stove, in her signature not so white apron, that read "trophy wife" in the middle of it, followed along by a couple food stains here's and there. I couldn't help but snicker every time I seen her in that damn thing. My aunt V practically lives in the kitchen so aprons were her thing, Uncle Sal had bought her that apron for Christmas a few years back, and now she won't stop wearing it.

I quietly sneak up behind my aunt, who's standing over at the kitchen island, stuck in her own little world, cutting up some broccoli florets and wrap my hands around her eyes. "Adivina quién," I whisper.

She releases the sharp knife in her hand, removing my hands away from her face, and turns around to face me. Her face instantly contours with delight as a wide smile spreads across her face. "Isaac!" She immediately wipes her hands on her apron, cupping my face in her hands, attacking me with kisses. "Dios mio, cuando llegaste?"

"Hace un ratito," I smile, kissing my aunt on the cheek. Aunt V was the only reason why I knew how to speak Spanish, she made me learn it at a very young age. It was originally hers and Nathaniel's first language. She wanted us to know a different language ,other than Italian, although I never really spoke in Spanish, only when it came to her. "It smells fucking amazing in here," I tell her.

"I wish you would've told me that you were coming, mijo, I would've prepared something that you liked."

"I like everything you fücking make, Aunt V." I walk over to the stove, removing the lid off one of the many pots and pans, inspecting what's inside. It's a pot of mash potatoes, and some gravy to the side of it in a smaller pot. "My mouth is literally watering!"

Aunt V giggles and walks up beside me, smacking the top of my hand, causing the lid to fall back onto the pan. "It'll be ready in unos 20 minutos. I'm just waiting on the steak, and I have to boil the broccoli and carrots real quick."

I groan, "ugh, I don't know if I can't wait twenty minutes!"

"Pues nimodo! Out!" She starts shoving me towards the kitchen entrance. "You know I don't like people in the kitchen while I'm cooking!"

"Okay, okay, I'm going!" I quickly steal a piece carrot from her cutting board and bolt for the door. I chuckle deeply as I'm making my way out, when I hear my aunt V yell my name.

I crunch on the rest of my carrot and join my cousin and uncle in the family room, they're slouched on two separate different couches, watching a football game on tv. I sat on the long couch on the opposite side of my cousin, when a high pitch cry echoes through out the hall way. About two seconds later, my 5 year old little cousin comes running into my uncle Sal's arms, desperately clutching onto her hand.

"Papá!!!" She cries, shoving her tiny hand into his face.

"What? Lemme see," my uncle grabs ahold of her hand inspecting it, "it's just a small paper cut, princess. You're fine."

"It hurts!" She continues to cry harder.

My uncle sighs, "Nathaniel, go help your sister."

"What!" My cousin exclaims, barely taking his eyes off of the television, exactly like his father. "It's just a paper cut, she'll live dad."

"Lemme see, Jess, c'mere." I wave her over to me, and she slowly comes towards me, while sniffling.

She places her small, soft, hand in mine, but quickly snatches it back. "Don't touch it!" She cries.

"I won't, lemme see." She slowly opens her hand over mine, and there in the middle of her palm is the tiniest of cuts, with a small droplet of blood. I look up at my little cousin purely petrified, and gasp. "Oh no, Jessie, that's a lot of blood. I don't know if we'll be able to stop it!"

My little cousin Jessica immediately starts to cry even harder, and my uncles soon scowling at me. "Isaac!"

I chuckle, "I'm just kidding, baby, come on." I get up off of the couch, and pick Jess up in my arms. "Let's go clean it up."

"Isaac, don-" my uncle pauses, as I walk passed him. "Put her down. She's not a baby anymore, let her walk. And you guys wonder why she's so spoiled."

I bring Jess closer to me kissing her right cheek, "that's because she's the only little princess in this family, and princess's deserved to be spoiled, huh, baby?"

Jess sniffs a couple times, nodding her head yes. I chuckle deeply as my uncle rolls his eyes, and we head up the stairs into the guest bathroom. I set Jess down on the toilet seat lid, and open up the first top drawer. I pull out a small tin of girly band aids, and a small little tube of neosporin. Jessica's cut wasn't big enough that she needed the ointment, but I knew that it would help her feel better in the end.

I crouch down in front of her, "open," I instructed, and she slowly opens her palm. "What were you doing?" I asked her as I uncapped the small tube, and squeezed a tiny bit onto the tip of my index finger. I gently rub the cream ointment over her small cut.

"Coloring," she sniffs.

"Oh yeah? What were you coloring?" I ask her as I dig out a small band aid from inside the tin, when I accidentally grab two. "Cupcakes or monkeys?" I show her. Jess points to the band aid with little monkeys on it. "So what were you coloring?" I ask for a second time, as I peel the small tabs off the bandaid.

"My uni-corn book," she says softly, as I place the small band aid over her cut. "Naniel got it for me."

"Well that was nice of him," I bring her hand up to my lips, kissing the top of her band aid. "There. Like it never happened," I smile.

She immediately flys into my arms, wrapping her short ones around my neck. "Thank you, Toni!" She hugs the dear life out of me. "You wanna see what else he brought me?" She beams with excitement.

I laugh softly, "sure."

She pulls on my hand, and i stand up to my full height as she drags me out of the bathroom, down the hall, and into her bedroom.

She opens her bedroom door and pulls me inside with her, releasing my hand. It's been awhile since I've been in Jessie's room, there's something different about it, but I just can't put my finger on it. Jess runs over to the small table set in the left corner in her room, when everything just clicks. "Hey! Your walls aren't pink anymore." They're a light ashy, gray, brown color now.

"Papí changed them," she informs me.

Jessica wasn't like any other little five year old girl. Her room wasn't decked out with princess stuff, sure her walls were pink, but instead of all your princess shit, and dolls, Jess had little unicorns in every aspect of her room, in every color you can think of. Can you guess her favorite animal? Fücking unicorns. But Just because Jess wasn't into all the princess shit, it didn't make her any less girly, she was the girliest of girls, a total fücking princess. The irony.

Jess comes back running to me, handing over a- well what do you know, a white and pink plush unicorn, with a gold horn on top. "Isn't it beautiful!" She squeals.

"Oh wow!" I take the stuffed animal from her, pretending like i ain't never seen a damn unicorn in my life. "A unicorn?! I would've never fucking guessed!" I say sarcastically

Jessie starts giggling, taking her new friend out of my hands. "Ooo! You said a bad word!" She continues to giggle.

"Cazzo, I mean shit," I shake my head.

You did it again, dumbass!

Jess continues to giggle, and I chuckle softly, "don't ever say those word's, okay? Your papá would kill me."

"Papí says worse words," she smiles. "Sometimes at Naniel when he's really mad."

I continue to chuckle, "oh I'm sure.. Tio  Carmelo does the same thing to me when I'm not behaving.. Have you named the little fella?" I tug on one of the unicorns legs. "Is it a boy or girl?"

"Jeffrey," she smiles, hugging the unicorn in her arms.

"Well why don't you and Jeffrey go play with all of your other friends until dinners ready, okay?"

She nods, "will you play with me?" There's a hint of sadness in her delicate child voice, and smile. "Naniel never wants to play with me anymore."

I snort softly, "yeah, I'll play with you, princess. Come on," I start walking her over towards the small table set.

Jessie decided that she wanted to continue coloring instead of playing, so we both laid on her carpet floor coloring out of all the many color books that she had. She refused to flipped through the pages, terrified that she would get another paper cut so had me do it for her. We colored for a good solid ten minutes when aunt V finally announced that dinner was ready, and headed back down stairs to eat.

Half an hour later, and two plates down, I'm ready to go into a food coma, I'm so fucking full. I plop myself back down on the couch, tilting my head back with my eyes closed, when I feel a sudden tap on my shoulder. "You ready?"

I peep out of my left eye to see my cousin Nathaniel hovering over me. "Ugh, already?" I groan lifting my head back up. "I'm so full I can barely breathe dude, let alone move."

This makes my cousin chuckle, "no one told you to eat so much."

"How can you not want more of your moms food!"

Nathaniel laughs again, smacking the side of my arm with the back of his hand. "Get up, bitch, don't think I won't go without you."

I chuckle softly getting off of the couch, "and have all the fun with out me? How dare you, Nate!" I scowl him playfully. "Let me grab my keys."

"Leave them," my cousin says. "We'll take my car." I nod and follow after him, grabbing my jacket off of the back of the couch. "I'll be back later, Ma!!" My cousin shouts behind him, reaching for the front door.

"Wait!" My aunt shouts from inside of the kitchen, and comes rushing out two seconds later. "Where are you two going?" I glance back at my cousin, not really sure if my aunt knows where we're off too.

"Out," my cousin replies. No she does not.

"Out where?!" Aunt V folds her arms.

"I don't know, out, ma! I haven't had a guys night to myself since I've been back. I need to get out before I drive myself crazy!"

"Hmm," my aunt V narrows her eyes at her son.

"Veronica! Will you leave that damn boy alone! He's not a kid anymore, baby." My uncle Sal says, descending from the stairs.

"He'll always be my baby!" My aunt shouts behind her, and turns back to us. "You better not drink and drive, Nathaniel, I swear to God if you do, niño, I'll-"

"I won't, ma!" My cousin quickly cuts his mom off. "When do I ever?"

"Mas te vale, the same goes for you too, Isaac!"

"We'll behave, Tia," I place a quick kiss on her cheek. "I promise."

My cousin kisses his mom real quick, and we head out the door. After a fifteen minute drive out into town, we pull up to an all family's sports park. It's a little before 9 pm when we pull up, so the park is still pretty live with families wondering around. We stayed in Nathaniel car for about fifteen minutes, when my cousin decides that he can no longer watch the crowd walk passed his car with food in their hands, and decides that he wants some nachos of his own.

We hop out of his car and walk over to the small concession stand, as my cousin practically breaks his neck watching every honey that walks passed him.

"Hi," a girl with blonde hair, who seems to be around my age, eagerly greets us as we walk up to the stand. "What can I get you guys?"

"Can I get some nachos with extra jalapeño's," my cousin smirks at the park employee, who's clearly swooning over him as well.

"We have a small tray and a large tray," she says.

"Smalls fine," Nathaniel continues to smirk at the girl. The girl walks away to the back of the small shack making my cousins nachos. "You want anything?" He asks me.

I shake my head, "I'm straight, I'm still full as fuck from earlier.. Wait," I see a bucket of licorice on the left side of my cousin, and point to it. "Hand me some licorice." He chuckles and opens the candy jar, grabbing a handful of licorice and hands them too me, but not before stealing one for himself.

The girl comes back with my cousin nachos about ten seconds later, "is there anything else I can get you?"

My cousin shakes his head, "nah, we're fine, this is it."

"Your total is 3.75$," she smiles.

Nathaniel pulls out his wallet and looks over at me, "do you have any small bills? I only have 100's."

I smile and shake my head, "nah, all I have is a few Ben's, and my card."

"It's fine."

Nate and I both look up at the pretty blonde.

She pushes his nachos forward, "its on the house," she smiles.

I turn to look at Nate, wiggling my eyebrows at him. My cousin pulls out a quick hundred from his wallet, and hands it over to the blonde. "Keep it for yourself then," he winks and we turn to walk away.

We sit at a near by table for five minutes, waiting patiently for Nate to finish his fucking nachos, when the park slowly starts clearing out. I have my head down playing a game on my phone, when Nathaniel nudges me with his elbow and makes me lose.

"What!" I snarl, a bit upset that he fucked up my high score.

He sticks a nacho into his mouth, pointing ahead of us. "That's the wife," he says in between chews.

I look away from him to find a short woman with dark red hair walking towards the parking lot, her two daughters beside her. Her hair isn't anything like Hailey's though, there's nothing natural about it, you can clearly tell that it's dyed. A few steps behind her is a group of guys, five to be exact, all in the same baseball uniform. Everyone's happy, all smiling, they probably won there stupid ass game, little do they know it's about to rain hell on them.

"Which ones the son?" I asked my cousin, eyeing the group of guys.

"Don't know," he shrugs beside me, I quickly turn to frown at him. "What?! I've only ever met Mr. And Mrs. Mor!" I sigh shaking my head. "We're out numbered, KP."

"I know," I tell him. "Think we can take them?"

Nathaniel shakes his head, "probably not." He gets up to throw his trash away. "They got bats and shit, things could get ugly real fucking quick." He says walking back over to the table.

Fuck. He's right. I didn't even think about that!

"It's a good thing we're packin though," my cousin grins, lifting up the front of his shirt, exposing the gun tucked into his jeans.

I chuckle and grin back at my cousin, "I like the way you think, Nate dog." I pull my own piece out from behind me, waving it at him and we break out into a deep laughter.

"Come on," my cousin drops his shirt back down. "Let's go bully some kids."

I snort and stand up from the small table, putting my gun away as we make our
