I called my dad before leaving the house to see if he was on his way home, this way Carmen and I could take his car to the theater, but unfortunately my dad was working late today, of all days. We decided to take an uBer to the movies, and my dad would just pick us up afterwards if he was out by then, if not it was back to uber. Carmen paid for the uber ride, so I paid for the tickets, and we went halfies on the popcorn and drinks. Our movie didn't start until 8:20pm and ended at approximately a little passed 10:00 p.m.

we were currently walking back to the concession stand to buy some chocolate gummy bears for my dad, he loved those damn little things and I thought it would've been nice of me to surprise him with some. My dad was currently still working but the closes uber to us was about twenty minutes away, and my dad got off in 30, so we decided to kill time and wait around for him. We hung out in the little arcade area for about ten minutes before we got bored, and decided to walk around. I tried calling Isaac after the movie had ended, and although his phone was no longer off he still didn't answer. It seemed like he answered everybody's call, minus mine, but I didn't let it bother me, I pushed it to the side.

Carmen and I were walking out of the theater, when a group of guys were walking in and having my luck I just so happened to accidentally bumped into one of them.

Being the person that I was, I quickly apologized to him. "Oh my God, I am so sorry, that was totally my fault."

He chuckles lowly looking behind him, "nah, you're good," he smiles, lifting his head up, showing off his pearly white teeth. It's fucking Cris Roxwell. I couldn't see his face at first because it was hiding underneath his baseball cap. I look behind me to see that Carmen's already on the other side of the door, patiently waiting for me outside. I turn to walk out with my best friend when a deep voice stops me, "wait a minute, don't I know you?"

"No, not really," I shake my head softly. "I mean we go to school together, but that's it."

Cris quickly snaps his fingers in between us, crossing his arms in front of him, starting to grin a little too wickedly for my taste. "Your Matteo's girl."

Any normal teenaged girl would've immediately swooned over those three little words, but I in the other hand was having the opposite reaction, but maybe because it was coming from a guy like Cris, someone who was well known to not get along with my boyfriend.

Carmen walks back into the theater lobby, a hand on her hip. "Hey, what's taking you so long?"

I turn to Carmen, but quickly turn back to Cris and his friends, there was four of them in total, including him. "Where is he by the way? Why isn't he here, with you?"

"He's busy doing something," I answered, faster than i actually would've thought.

"I'm sure of it," he mutters. Cris than takes a step closer towards me, and Carmen grabs onto my arm pulling me back. Cris instantly picks up his hands about mid way, smiling, indicating that he wasn't going to do anything. "Does your little boyfriend know that you're here?" He asked. "I highly doubt that Matteo would let you girls come alone, especially on this side of the city."

This side? What the hell does that mean?

"Come on, Hail, we should go." Carmen tugs on my arm, and pull it away from her.

"Yeah," I reply. "He knows we came to the movies."

Cris scoffs, "but does he know you're at this theater, piccola.." not exactly, no. Cris takes another step forward, and I step back closer towards Carmen. "You know, you're rolling with the wrong team, the wrong side." He smirks. "If I were Matteo, I'd never let you out of my sight. I'd be to paranoid thinking someone's gonna try and pick up on my girl. I mean, why wouldn't they," he grins and one of his friends is quickly pulling him back.

"What the fücking are you doing, Cris?!" A guy with curly dark hair mumbles. "Isaac's gonna kill you if he finds out you're hitting on his girl!" His friend is trying his hardest to keep his voice down, but Carmen and I can clearly hear the conversation. We take this moment to quickly make our way back out of the theater, and start walking up the street where it's a little more live, crowded.

Carmen out of no where starts chuckling to herself, "well that was sure interesting," she implies.

I snort beside her, intwining my arm with hers. "You're telling me!"

"Are you gonna tell Isaac?"

I scoff at Carmen, "God no! He'll blow it out of proportion, making it bigger than it needs to be."

"Smart girl," she giggles, and as do I.

We continue walking up the street, passing some of the little shops that are now closed, and all that's left open is a couple bars, and small restaurants. I asked Carmen if we could take a break and sit a bench near the water fountain, the area in between my legs was a bit sore after this morning. Carmen and I sat for awhile talking, waiting for my dad to pick us up. He texted me about three minutes ago, that he had just got out and is now on his way, when Carmen nudges my arm.

"Hmm?" I smile up at her.

"Do you see that gray SUV over there?" She asked.

I look up, pointing ahead of me, "the Audi? Yeah, it's nice."

Carmen instantly smacks my hand, putting it back down. "Don't point! I think there's someone in the car! I think they're watching us."

"What? You're crazy!" I scoffed. "I thought I was the paranoid one, Car."

"I'm serious, Hail! It pulled up the second we sat down, and no one has gotten out of the car yet!"

"You're starting to scare me a bit, Car. Please tell me that you're joking."

"I wish I was mamí, come on, let's go into that restaurant."

"Okay," I grab my bag and get up from the bench.

Sure enough the second we stand up and start walking, the lights to the small SUV turn on, and it's pulling out of its parking spot, driving passed us. Just when I'm about to be relieved that it passed us, it makes an illegal U turn and screeches back our way, parking a couple feet in front of us. My anxiety immediately spikes, but it soon fades when an angry looking Isaac climbs out of the luxurious car, he throws his hoodie over his head.

I immediately pick up my pace, walking up to him and shove him backwards. "What the hell's your problem! You almost gave us a heart attack!!" Isaac stars chuckling and it easily annoys me,"It's not funny, Isaac!" I shove at his chest one more time, but this time Isaac grabs onto my wrist, pulling me in for a kiss. I place my hands on his tone chested, his inked chest, trying to push him away, but then give up and give in to the warm sensation that he brings me.

"Im not a big fan of what you're wearing," he murmurs against our lips, tugging my shirt down, covering up my exposed skin and I cover myself with my jacket, taking a step away from him. "What the hell are you girls doing out so late? I thought you were ordering in?" He says looking over at Carmen.

"It's barely gonna be 11, Isaac, relax. And I did, but then we got bored." She replies, shrugging her shoulders.

I notice that Isaac looks a little more agitated than usual, checking his surroundings a little more than he usually does. "What are you doing here? How'd you know we were here? I've been calling you all night!"

"I know, I'm sorry, I wanted to surprise you though."

"Your phone was off.." I mention.

"I know, I had to go do something." Meaning he had something he had to do for his dad, and I shouldn't keep asking about it.

"Who are you with? Who's car is that?"

Isaac smiles, tapping his knuckles on the tinted window behind him. "My cousin," he says as the window starts to roll down, revealing his cousin. "Nathaniel, Hailey. Hailey, Nathaniel."

Isaac and his cousin easily shared a few similarities. They obviously shared the same skin color, but Nathaniel was just a bit more tan than Isaac. They almost had the same eyes, sharing the same dark color, and dark hair, but Nathaniel wore his in a small bun on the top of his head.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Hailey." Isaac's cousin smiles, outstretching his arm, and I stick my arm through the opened window, shaking his hand. "KP's been yapping about you all night, and swore that he'd beat my ass if I didn't bring him to see you."

I giggle releasing his hand, pulling it back out of the car. "It's nice to meet you too. Are you from his mother's side or dads?"

"His dad is my moms older brother, the one she mentioned earlier."

"I figured," I smiled at them. "You guys have your moms eyes."

"Y yo que? Estoy pintada?" Carmen exclaims behind me.

Isaac and Nathaniel chuckle.

"No te aguites chicita, se te va arrugar esa bonita cara," Nathaniel smirks, shooting Carmen a wink and I see her face immediately flush. I don't think I've actually ever seen Carmen this speechless. She attempts to hide the smile from her face, narrowing her eyes, and turns to Isaac.

"Did I forget to mention that Nathaniel's half Italian half Mexican?" He grins. "This is Carmen, Nate, Hailey's best friend."

Isaac's cousin doesn't comment, nor reply or anything, he simply smirks tilting his head up. "What's up, you girls need a ride or what?" He offers.

"No we're fine, thank you." I tell him. Isaac narrows his eyes, ready to protest for sure, when I grab his hand, walking into him. "My dads coming already."

Isaac looks down at me, pecking my lips real quick, "I'll wait with you then."

"No, you don't have too."

"Shh," he pecks my lips again. "I want too."

A car across the street honks, and I look over to notice that it's my dads car. "That's him," I kiss Isaac on the cheek really quick before walking away, but Isaac doesn't let go of my hand.

"I'll walk you, what kind of boyfriend would I be if I didn't say hi?" He smiles. "I'll be back, Nate."

I tell Isaac's cousin bye and that it was nice to meet him again, but of course he's too busy checking Carmen out and doesn't hear me. I hear Nathaniel ask Carmen for her number before Isaac and I cross the street, and immediately smile to myself when she shuts him down. Typical Carmen. She always knew how to keep guys interested in her, she was a little heart breaker. We were two totally different people, I really don't know exactly how she was my best friend, but I wouldn't trade her for anything in this world.

I give Isaac a quick kiss, tell him to call me and make my way over to the passenger side of the car, as Carmen sits behind me.

"Hi, Mr. Summers, how are you doing?" Isaac stick his hand out for my dad to shake.

Unlike the first time, my dad doesn't hesitate he instantly clasped his hand with Isaac's. "Matteo. I wasn't aware that you were with the girls tonight."

"Oh no, sir, I wasn't." Isaac shakes his head. "I was actually picking up some food when we ran into each other."

"There you go with sir again," my dad grumbles.

"Cazzo," Isaac swears in Italian. I personally liked it better when he swore in English, he had a little accent at the back of his words from time to time, and that was hot. "I'm trying Mr. Summers, I am, it's gonna take awhile," he smiles.

"The sooner the better," my dad implies. "You best get home, kid, you all have school in the morning."

Isaac smiles nodding his head, he leans down to meet my gaze. "I'll pick you up around 7:30." I smile and nod in return. "I'll catch you later, Carmen. Good night, Mr. Summers."
