The amount of excitement that I was feeling right about now, was truly unexplainable. We were currently on Thanksgiving break, and my brother Caleb was coming home from college. My dad was currently at the airport right now waiting for his flight to arrive, while I stayed at home attempting to tidy up the place.

Sadly my dad had to work the day of thanksgiving, so we were gonna celebrate it a couple days early. My dad's planning on taking us into the city for a nice family dinner, and I just couldn't wait. My moms older brother lives in the city and decided that him and his family would join us. I can't remember the last time that I actually seen my uncle Johnny. Things kind of fell apart between my dad and him after my mom had passed away, and now we hardly ever see each other.

I was a little sad because the day that we were heading into the city, just so happened to be mine and Isaac's one month mark that we've been together. Isaac was already planning something special when I had to break the news to him that I couldn't spend that day with him, I think it broke my heart more than his. I loved being around him, I always missed him the second he left, it was safe to say that I was way too overly attached already. I finished cleaning the house about an hour later and went to take a quick shower, since I was a sweaty mess.

I was brushing my hair out in the bathroom, when I heard my phone ringing in my room. I quickly put my brush down and ran into it, grabbing my phone from the night stand. My heart immediately fluttered when I seen Isaac's name and picture on the screen. I had took the picture about a week ago when Isaac took me to get some frozen yogurt that I had been craving. He was sitting across from me in a solid red shirt, wearing a baseball cap on his head, backward of course. It was one of those caught of guard pictures, and it was perfect in every way. He had a yellow spoon in his mouth, his face intense as ever while he look down at his phone, reading something off of it.

"Hi," I answered the phone, putting it on speaker phone and walked back into the bathroom.

"What are you up too, beautiful?" Isaac's smooth, deep, voice comes out of the tiny speaker a second later.

"Nothing," I pick my hair brush back up. "I just got out of the shower not long ago."

"You showered without me, again?" Isaac exclaimed. I could already picture his signature smirk on his face right about now.

I giggled, continuing to brush my hair, "you chose to go do your job than to come hang out with me," I teased.

Isaac chuckled, "if i knew your slippery wet body was gonna be involved I would've made him wait."

I smiled, instantly blushing at his words. Truth be told Isaac and I haven't had sex since that one morning. Not that he hasn't tried, or that I didn't want too, but timing was just always wrong, someone or something was always popping up.

"Who says I can't take a second shower?" I murmur into the phone, and immediately giggle when I hear Isaac sigh deeply.

"Don't tempt me, Summers. I'm hanging on by a thread right now." I giggle again as he chuckles. "I'm in your drive way, come outside, i have something to show."

"You're here?!"

"Mhm," he answers. "Hurry up, you know I'm not a patient man."

I giggle hanging up the phone and put my slippers on, quickly making my way down stairs. The sun has already set so I turned the outside light on before heading out there. It was a chilly night and I was in a pair of dark gray joggers and a black sleeveless crop top, and my hair was still damp so I was a bit cold. Isaac's car wasn't actually in the drive way when I stepped outside, it was out next to the curb where he always parks it.

Isaac steps out of his BMW when he see's me walking towards him, and walks around it embracing me in his arms. "What the fuck are you doing coming out with out a sweater," he grumbles. "You're gonna catch a cold, baby."

He releases his hold from around me, and takes off his hoodie, throwing it over my head. I slip my arms through the sleeve's and wrap them around Isaac's torso. "How'd everything go?" I asked referring to his little job. "I missed you," I mumble into his chest, looking up at him.

Isaac and I haven't really been able to hang out because he's been so busy with 'work'. He missed the last two days of school, but literally picked me up on Friday just to see me. He literally just picked me up, took me home, and went out of town until Monday night, doing some more work for his pops. It's now Tuesday night and I'm a little excited that he's back in one piece. Isaac had some pretty nasty bruising on his face last week, but he swears that it's from training, apparently his father thinks he's getting soft.

In all honesty I think it has to do to with me, I don't think Mr. Matteo likes me very much. I'm so sure that he's sending Isaac on all these jobs, just to keep him away from me, Isaac's even said so himself.

"Good," Isaac wraps his arms around my waist, looking down at me, leaning down for a quick kiss. "Not as much as missed you," one of his hands slide down to my ass, and I giggle as he squeezes it, locking our lips back together. "What time does your brother's flight arrive?" He says husks in between kisses.

"7:45," I murmur.

Isaac brings his wrist up, checking his watch. "It's 8:32," he smiles "Assuming his flight actually came on time, they should've been here by now. The airports only about 30 minutes away from here, meaning that we have some free time to spare," he smirks.

I place my hands on Isaac chest, "or that they're on their way back now, and can show up at any second." Isaac pouts, hanging his head low and I can't help but giggle, wrapping my arms around him. "We'll have some alone time soon, I promise."

"All I need is like five minutes," he murmurs. "I'd make it quick."

I laugh softly shaking my head at him, "you're a dork," I tell him. A small yelp type of cry comes from inside of Isaac's car, followed by something scratching against his window. "What's that?" I ask him.

He grins, "open it." I stare at him weirdly looking back and forth from the car, when he begins to chuckle. "It's nothing bad, babe. Trust me, you'll like it. Open the door."

I step away from him, my hand reaching for the passenger door handle and slowly open it as Isaac leans on the side of the back door, watching me. I nearly lose my mind when I finally see what he's talking about. There sitting on his passenger seat, on a small blanket is a small, adorable, fluffy, golden retriever puppy.

I quickly turn to Isaac, who's practically grinning his face off.

"Oh my god, Isaac! Oh my god! Oh my god!!" I pick the puppy off of the blanket, holding it in my arms. It immediately starts wagging its tail, starting to crawl up and lick my face, making Isaac chuckle.

He pushes himself off of his car standing in front of me, he pets the puppy's head and looks down at me. "His name's Waffles," he smiles. My heart instantly melts at the name, he looks like a waffle!!! "He's yours.."

I immediately look up at Isaac, "mine?!?"

He chuckles nodding his head yes, "this way you'll never really be alone. You'll always have company," he looks down at the puppy.

My eyes instantly tear up, "I- I don't know what to say."

No ones ever done anything like this for me, I'm truly and utterly speechless.

"You don't have to say anything," he smiles. "I already talked to your dad earlier, he said it was okay. He's yours to keep, baby."

I hug the puppy closer to me, tears starting to stream down my face. "Thank you," I cry. "So much. I love it!"

Isaac smiles and grabs ahold of my face, locking our lips together. "You're welcome," he smiles against my lips. "I was in a hurry so all I bought him was a collar and a small bag of dog food, but we can go get him a few things tomorrow if you're not busy."

I nod my head putting the puppy down on the ground so he can run around for a bit, then throw my arms Isaac neck. "Thank you," I say again, kissing him on the lips. "You're the best."

Isaac grins placing his hands on my waist, "you're welcome, again," and our lips lock again. We kiss for a couple seconds when a little someone starts crying. We pull apart, both of us looking down to see Waffles pulling Isaac shoelace undone.

Isaac chuckles, nudging him off of his foot, "really?" he murmurs. He kneels down attempting to tie his shoe back up, but Waffles keeps pulling on the lace, thinking that Isaac is playing with him. "Stop you little fucker!" He chuckles and I can't help but giggle.

I bend down to pick him up, "he just wants to play," I chuckle as Waffles starts licking my face. "Waffles!" I giggle softly. "Stop!"

Isaac chuckles taking him away from me, lifting him up in front of him. "Let me get one thing straight with you, Waffles. She's mine, not yours. Only I'm allowed to kiss her like crazy, you're just here to protect, got it?" I laugh as he hold Waffles up in the air, happily wagging his tail. He hands him back to me, "you don't have to keep Waffles you know. You can change his name."

I smile shaking my head, "I like Waffles."

"Ehh, I'm more of a French toast type of guy," Isaac shrugs his shoulders and I giggle. "My little five year old cousin chose his name. She was with me when I picked him up, she got one too. Nathaniel bought it for her."

"He has a little sister?" I smile and he nods. "No way, that's adorable!"

"Yeah, he was pretty attached to her before he left for school.. Hey, what are you gonna do on actual Thanksgiving day?"

"Probably go to my aunts, we've been going to her house ever since my mom passed away."

"Come spend Thanksgiving with me, with my family. They're having it at Nathaniel's house this year."

I shake my head mildly, "do you think that's a good idea? What if your dad-"

"I don't care," Isaac butts in. "I want you there with me. I want you to meet my family. Plus it's my moms side, nothing to worry about."

"I'll have to talk to Caleb, see if he's okay with going without me."

Isaac kisses my forehead, "let me know what happens, but I better get going before my dad starts calling.. He thinks I'm still driving back from my uncles house. I'll text you when I get home?" I smile while nodding, and Isaac gives me a goodbye kiss, scratching Waffles head. "I'll see you guys tomorrow," and walks towards his car.

"Be careful!" I shout as Isaac opens his door.

He smirks, "I'll try," and gets into the driver seat.

My dad and Caleb got home twenty minutes later after Isaac leaves, I was up in my room trying to fix a little area for waffles. I was in my closet when I heard a soft knock on my door, "come in!" I shouted.

"Hail?" A deep, masculine voice murmured.

I peeped my head out of my closet to see my brother standing in the middle of the room.

"Oh my god!" I immediately get up and fly out of the closet, running into my brothers arm. "When did you guys get here!? I didn't even hear the door!"

Caleb chuckles wrapping his arms around my back, "about five minutes ago. Dad called your name but you never came down, so I came up."

I let go of my brother taking a step back, "I didn't even hea-" I pause quickly grabbing Caleb's face, "oh my God you have facial hair!!!" I pull on his small beard growing in.

My brother chuckles again, pushing my hand away. "Yeah, I started growing it out after you guys left. What do you think?"

"You look more like dad now," I tell him.

"I know, that's what Adam said a couple weeks ago." Adam was Caleb's best friend. They just so happened to get into the same school, and we're living with each other out in California. "Who's that?" He smiles, inclining his head forward.

I turn behind me to see Waffles slowly coming out of the closet. He was hanging out in there with me, chewing on an old sock I had gave him. "Waffles," I tell my brother.

Caleb crouches down in front of me and starts calling Waffles over to him. Slowly but surely Waffles eventually comes walking over to us with his head down, "hey, buddy."

Caleb starts scratching his head, and Waffles eventually let's up and lays on his back so Caleb can scratch his tummy. "Aren't you a cute little fella," my brother continues to scratch his belly, then picks him up in his arms. "Come down stairs, Hail, there's someone I want you guys to meet."

"Guys?" I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Yeah," he stands up. "You and Waffles," he smiles walking out of my bedroom with my dog.

I follow after him not long after and make my way down stairs. I pause in the hall way as I'm turning the corner into our open living room, when I hear a girls voice. "Oh my God, who's this cute little guy?"

Who the hell is that?

"You know my name, babe, it's Caleb." My brother says.

Babe?

The girl than starts to giggle softly, "I was talking about the puppy, you dork!"

My brother chuckles but no other words are exchanged and I decide to move my feet again and walk into the open area.

"Did you tell your sister to come down?" My dad asks.

"Yeah-"

"Oh, there you are, honey. What took you so long, have you ate already?"

I shake my head but keep my eyes trained on the stranger who standing in my dinning room, with Waffles in her arms. She was absolutely stunning. She had a beautifully shaped figured, with long sunrise gold hair that flowed over her shoulders, with the iciest blue eyes I'd ever seen. She quickly glanced in my direction, an almost nervous look on her face then turns her attention back to my brother.

"Caleb," my dad murmurs.

"Hail, this is who I wanted you to meet." Caleb walks over next to the pretty girl. "This is Amber, my girlfriend."

"Oh, hi.."

Caleb nudges Ambers arm, and she starts walking towards me. "Your brothers told me so much about you, it's good to finally meet you," she smiles handing me my dog. "He really is cute, what's his name?"

"Waffles," Caleb chuckles behind us, setting up the table with my dad. They brought take out apparently.

"Girls, come on, sit." My dad says.

Amber smiles at me one last time and goes to sit down at the table, next to my brother. I place waffles on the ground, walk over to the sink real quick and wash my hands. I tear a paper towel from the roll of paper on the counter, and walk over to the table as I'm drying my hands off. I sit in my usual spot noting all the food on the table, and I'm relieved to see it's fried chicken and a few sides, rather than pizza or Chinese. Don't get me wrong I loved the two, but I needed a break from them.

We sit and eat in silence for a couple seconds, when my dad begins to carry out a conversation with Caleb's new girlfriend. She tells us a little bit about herself, what she's going to school for, her family, along with some other random things that are related-able to our conversation.

"So do you and Caleb have classes together? How'd you guys meet?" I asked, finally coming out of my silence.

Caleb and Amber turn to look at each other, nervously laughing simultaneously. "No," she answers while continuing to stare at my brother. She turns to look at my dad and I, "Caleb and I actually don't have any classes together. We met a party."

My dad clinks his fork on his plate, immediately glaring at Caleb, and he brings his hands up in front of him. "No, dad, it's not what you think. This was before that. We actually met that night," my brother shakes his head. "Well actually I mean she met me, found me."

"You better start making some sense in the next two seconds, Caleb Jospeh!" My dad snarls.

"Relax, babe." Amber murmurs to my brother, clasping his hand. "I can explain what he means, Mr. Summers." Amber sighs. "I'm the one that found him that night actually, I'm the one that called 911, waited with him until you guys arrived."

"You weren't at the hospital when we showed up though?" I commented.

"No," she shakes her head, smiling softly. "I was at the hospital still, but when a nurse came in to tell your brother that you guys were there, I thought it would be best if I wasn't there. I had only stayed with him so he wouldn't feel alone, and now that you guys were there he didn't need me around anymore."

I didn't have any words to give my brothers girlfriend. I was speechless, touched that she would do something like that for a complete stranger. I simply offered her a genuine smile.

"Well thank you, Amber," my dad says. "For doing what you did. I don't know how else I can repay you for my gratitude. If I would've known you were still around, I would've thank you personally that day."

Ambers smiles at my dad, "it's fine, Mr. Summers, really. I'm just glad he's okay," she turns to look at my brother. "Plus I think Caleb's already done more than enough."

"God please don't do this," Caleb groans, placing his face in his hand, as Amber laughs softly.

"Do what?" I smile. "What's she talking about? I wanna know!"

Amber grins while she continues to stare at my brother, "can I?"

My brother rolls his eyes, "you might as well."

She squeals with excitement, "he hates when I tell anyone this story, but I personally love it." My father and I stay quiet, letting her continue as Caleb and my dad continue to eat their food.

"Your brother felt like he had to repay some sort of favor for doing what I did, but I didn't want him too, I didn't really care for him to."

"I went through fucking hell and back just to figure out who she was," Caleb says.

"Language!" My dad grumbles.

My brother smiles apologetically and Amber continues, "it's true," she giggles. "I think he came to my sorority house twice."

"You're in a sorority?!" I asked.

She nodded her head, "yeah, they kept telling me that some guy was asking for me, if I knew a Caleb Summers, and I didn't. His name had totally slipped my mind, and like I didn't know who they were talking about they didn't let him in, nor did I ever go down to meet him."

"I'd given up by them, I figured that she was probably just some stuck up blonde, like the rest of them out there," Caleb says in between chews. "I think it was a few days later when ran into each other in the library, right?"

"Yeah," Amber answers. "About a week later after he showed up to my house. I immediately got excited when I seen him, and walked up to him, asking how he's been." She started to laugh softly, "he gave me one of the meanest glares of my life, and I couldn't understand why! I had literally saved this dude's life, and this is how he was repaying me? I figured he was just some arrogant asshole, excuse my language," she smiles at my dad. "Or that he literally didn't remember who I was."

She chuckles again, "his first words to me were 'oh now you feel like talking to me?' I swear I'd never been so confused in my life that day! We bickered a little, going back and fourth when everything finally clicked, when his name finally clicked and I felt so ashamed!"

Caleb started chuckling this time, waving his fork around. "She apologized for a good five minutes, it was hilarious."

Amber rolls her eyes playfully while shaking her head, "after everything had got cleared up, your brother invited me to lunch but I really wasn't looking to date, and plus I
