I stepped into his office and stood by the door. He gestured for me to come closer so I did.

"What's with the scarf it's like a hundred degrees." Louis said and I pursed my lips together.

"I'm trying out a new fashion trend." I said softly and he frowned slightly. "You called me." I reminded him and he nodded.

"I received your letter of resignation and unfortunately I can't accept it." Louis said slowly and I frowned deeply.

"But why not?" I asked in confusion.

"Because I don't want to, dolcezza." He said and I got flashbacks from the previous night. He came walking towards me and stood dangerously close to me.

"Sir-"

"Shhh." He said before rubbing his thumb over my bottom lip. "Where were you last night baby girl?" He asked in my ear and I blushed.

"I was home." I lied blatantly.

"Lies." He said before twirling a strand of my hair around his finger. "I notice the little vein in your neck that pops out each time you lie to me. Now tell me." He said before placing his lips against my jaw.

"Boyfriend." I breathed out and he scoffed.

"Fuck your boyfriend. Break up with him, you're not allowed to have relationships. It says it in your contract." Louis said, having the upper hand.

He gripped my lower region with his large hand and I whimpered. He started rubbing the fabric between me and his fingers and I was overcome by lust.

"Will you break up with him?" He asked and I nodded. "Answer me dolcezza." He replied huskily.

"Yes." I said in a nervous tone.

"Good girl." He said before grabbing my ass. "Who do you work for?" He asked before holding my chin in his hand.

"You." I replied and he shook his head.

"What's my name?" He asked and I inhaled deeply.

"Louis Valentino." I said his name.

"Pretty." He said under his breath. "You're excused miss Gibbs." He said before his hand dropped from my face.

I walked towards his door and when I looked back at him he was staring at my ass. I bit into my bottom lip before exiting.

I switched my computer on and a notification popped up on the screen. I almost forgot it's appointment day today. I closed my office door behind me and went into the big city.

I got a full body wax, a facial and a manicure and pedicure at the spa.

I was sitting in a salon chair while looking at myself in the mirror.

"I honestly don't get why you want to resign. He's covering all of the costs for you to look prettier than you naturally are, you're seriously pretty without all this." Cassidy my hairdresser said. "It's a great job for the most part." She said and I shook my head.

"It's awful if you asked me."

"But have you seen, Louis Valentino?" She asked and I gulped.

"Whatever." I said awkwardly.

"Alright, weirdo your curls look beautiful as usual. I wish I had Malaysian curls even though you're not Malaysian." Cassidy said with a dreamy look on her face. "Wash the treatment off when you shower tonight." She said and I nodded.

"Got it." I said with a smile on my face. "I'll see you in two weeks." I told her.

"Goodbye my favorite client." She said and I blew her a kiss before exiting the shop.

As I exited the shop I bumped into somebody. I was ready to yell at them for not watching where they were going.

"Joan?" He asked and my eyes widened.

"Blake?" I asked and he smiled.

"Are you okay?" He asked before helping me with a few of my bags.

"Yeah." I replied nervously. I think that Valentino has his men watching me, I'm pretty sure stalking is illegal, he doesn't even have the balls to stalk me himself.

"Can we talk, over a smoothie or something?" He asked and I cussed under my breath.

"Sure why not?" I asked and he smiled broadly. I looked down at the bags in my hands, these brands are expensive, I hope he doesn't ask me about it. He probably thinks I have a sugar daddy or something.

"You look pretty." He said once we sat down at our table. I noticed a man in black sitting down at a table near us, he's definitely one of Valentino's men. He watched us and I gulped.

"Thank you." I said when I placed my focus back on Blake.

"Can I take you out tonight?" He asked and I wanted to scream at this point.

"Can you come to my place? I'm not really in the mood for people or restaurants." I said softly and he nodded.

"Sure. You're my girlfriend but I hardly get to see you." He said before taking my hand in his.

"Work." I said before laughing nervously.

"You don't seem that busy. You literally just came from a shopping spree." He said and I pursed my lips together.

"Well I need this for a function." I said and he chuckled.

"Of course you do." He said and I laughed along with him. When we were done drinking our smoothies we walked out of the shop together.

"I'll see you tonight." I said with a smile on my face and Blake leaned in. I looked around us and the man in black was out of sight. I allowed him to kiss me slowly.

"See you tonight." He said before we parted ways. I called my driver and he appeared in a few seconds. The driver must be part of my promotion, he helped me with my bags before we went to drop them off at home. He then took me back to the office.

Every familiar face greeted me with a compliment making me smile instantly. I went to Dom's office and sat on his desk.

"Hey Joan. How's your vagina?" Dom asked and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Fuck you." I said and he laughed at me.

"Where have you been? Macy told me and everyone in the office that Mr Valentino called you to his office." Dom said and I wanted to go and kill the bitch. "Easy." Dom said and I calmed myself down.

"I was at the spa and stuff. I'm gonna fuck Macy up before I leave this place." I said and Dom seemed amused.

"You're leaving? You'd have a better chance of waking Michael Jackson up from the dead, hashtag thriller." He said and I looked at him as if he was an alien.

"I got a job offer, for your information. But Valentino won't let me go. He simply refuses." I said and Dom cringed.

"Well goodluck with convincing him." Dom said before typing something away on his keyboard.

I ordered Chinese food and had it delivered to his office. I left his office when I was done eating and went back to my own.

"Mr Valentino would like to see you in his office." Macy said from my door.

"Thank you and try not to plant the wrong ideas into people's heads. I'd hate to see you get fired when Mr Valentino finds out about what you've been telling people about us." I told Macy and her eyes widened but she nodded anyways.

I went straight into his office without knocking. "Hello Joa-"

"You had me followed?" I asked angrily and his jaw clenched.

"Joan-" He started in a warning tone.

"You had no right." I bursted out and his hand balled into a fist.

"Be careful. You're walking on thin i-" he started but I've had enough.

"You don't tell me what to do. And I'm sick of living in fear because of you! And I don't care about how thin my fucking ice is yo-" I was cut of by his lips crashing onto mine.

He pulled back from my mouth and placed open mouthed kisses on my neck. "I fucking know it was you last night, Joan." He said and it felt like a bucket of ice was thrown over my head and all the blood drained from my face.
