Third person POV

Vera's eyes fluttered open as she sat up and rubbed them a little. When she could finally see she was shocked.
She wasn't in her room but where she was wasn't a place she had seen before .

She laid there in the bed surrounded by white and gold interior.
Pain shot through her head as she groaned,
memories of what had transpired during the party came flooding back all at once to Vera and she was left a mess when she realised her family and Lexi were no where to be seen.

She threw her legs to the side of the bed and stood up hastily, only for pain to consume her legs causing her to  stumble and she was caught my a pair of strong arms before she could hit the ground.
 
She opened her eyes to see Julius's face inches away from hers.
He held her little body in his arms preventing her collision with the ground.

For a moment they stared at each other in that position until Julius broke eye contact and helped Vera up before sitting her back on the bed.
He had been watching her ever since she woke up,
Hence the reason he was able to catch her in time.

Not up to a moment later a maid came into the room dressed in uniform and dropped some folded clothes on the bed before bowing and going back the way she came.

Julius didn't look at Vera and turned to leave

"Where am I?"
She asked bringing him to a halt as he turned to face her

"You'll find out.
Take a shower or smth
You stink. The bathroom is that door to your right"
He pointed to another room that had shoes in different compartments on the walls and two doors were situated close to one another much deeper into the room.

"When your done put on these clothes your parents sent and come down" he gestured to the clothes that the maid had earlier brought and Vera didn't say a word but just stared back at him.

Julius turned and left the room leaving Vera alone to her thoughts.
    At least she was thankful that her parents seemed alright enough to send her clothes but the question still remained
Where was she?

Deciding to follow Julius's instructions she stood on her wobbly legs and walked over to the open room at the other side of the bed.
She walked into one of the doors and saw the big bathroom.

Vera's POV

I made my way to the sink and looked into the mirror that covered the wall and I was taken aback for a moment.
I looked pale and worn out.
There were bags under my eyes and dried make up was smered  across my face

Slipping out of my dress i stepped into the shower and turned on the hot water.
I let the water run down my body as the heat calmed my muscles and did wonders to my hair.
I used all the body wash,shampoos and conditioners I could find there.

I stepped out of the bathroom in one of the many neatly folded white towels I got from the cabinet close to my mirror.
I picked up my clothes to see my favourite purple hoodie and biker shorts.

I slipped into them and the smell of lavender hit my nostrils.

I had to find my way down stairs now.
I walked over to my door and opened it.
Stepping out I looked to my left to see a long hallway full of rooms and to my right was the same thing.

It was like I was in a maze of some kind.
The place was beautiful non the less. I followed the walls and met a grand flight of stairs leading downstairs with a chanderliar that hung in the middle.

I cautiously took the left stairs as I saw a big living room just at the end of the stairs.

Everything was beautiful and breath taking.

"Like what you see"
I almost jumped out of my skin as I turned to see Aldonis behind me.

"You almost scared the life out of me" I smacked his arm.
"But yeah I do"
I smiled looking round.
   Looking at Aldonis he wasn't in a suit but a casual polo shirt and jeans.

"Well
You'll be living here from now on so you have alot of time to explore"
I looked up at him
Did I hear that right?

"What?"
I wanted to make sure I wasn't hearing things

"You'll be living here from now"
The words sunck in like slow poison

"W-what
Does that mean I won't see my family anymore"
Tears stung my eyes and Aldonis noticed my change in mood

"N-no
I meant-
I need to go do something" he made up the worst excuse ever and scurried away to one of the rooms to me right
There was a long walk with six big doors on them.
I blinked my tears away and approached a particular door that caught my attention.

I needed to find Julius and speak to him. I didn't know where but I knew I had to find him.
I would have asked Aldonis before he left but I was too busy worrying about m family.
I needed to make sure they were okay especially
Lexi and Luios. I hadn't seen them during the fight.

I stood in front of the door and I stared at the handle contemplating whether to open it or not .
I chose the option that would quench my curiosity.
I pushed the door open by it's handle and was met with a beautiful office with shelves of books at each corner, heavy velvet curtains draping down the windows.

After shutting the door I looked to the table to see Julian sitting behind it
Our eyes met for a split second before I looked down at my feet to avoid any more eye contact

I looked up after a while to see him still staring at me.

"What are you doing here Vera"

His voice came drawing my attention.

"I need to talk to you"
I came forward and stood in front of the table

"As you can see I'm busy
So if you don't mind, can you leave"
He looked away from his laptop and raised an eyebrow at me.
   I sat down in one of the seats next to me and folded my hands staring straight at him.

He kept ignoring me as I tapped my fingers on the hand of the chair.
I was getting restless and annoyed but I couldn't give up.

I stood up and walked behind his chair.

If I couldn't get his attention on me at least I could annoy him until he paid attention to me.
I leaned into his seat and out a hand on his desk next to his computer.
He turned abruptly and our faces were only inches away.
Our closeness made my cheeks red as I stared into his eyes.

"What are you doing"
He raised an eyebrow at me .

pushed myself up and cleared my throat.

"Now that I have your attention
I still need to talk to you"
I folded my hands against my chest and looked down at him.

"Speak.
You have one minute"

"Why am I here?
Aldonis said I would be living here from now on
Why is that?"

"Yes
You would be living here from now on"
My heart beat started racing

"What?
Why!?"
He stared at me and it only made me angrier

"I don't have to answer you but if you must know your life is now in danger and you can't leave here not even to go back home so I suggest you start getting used to this house "
He turned his chair back to his table and continued on his laptop

"How is my life in danger?"
I held the chair by it's hands and turned it to face me.
"Answer me"

His face was devoid of any emotion as he stared up at me.
He stood up from his seat and forced me against the wall like he had done in his office, his body pressed against mine.

"I don't explain myself to anyone

And I won't start with you"
He whispered and it sent chills down my spine and my resolve was gone just like that.
"Don't flatter yourself doll
Your not that special"

That hit a nerve and I pushed him away and ran out before that could get out of hand.
I bumped into a wall and fell into someone's arms.

"Careful beautiful"
The stranger that held me in his arms spoke.
He had a slick combed back hairstyle and a charming grin on his face.
Turns out it wasn't a wall after all.

"Thank you" I whispered standing on my feet but he didn't let me go, he kept his hands around my waist.

I heard someone roughly clear their throat behind me and I turned to see Julius staring at us with a straight face.
  "Cyrus
Can you let go off my fiancee"

"Oh sorry man
Didn't know this beauty was taken but you aren't married yet so I'm sure I still have a chance" am sure he expected a giggle or something from Julius but nothing. Instead his jaw was clenched.
Cyrus let me go and walked past Julius into his study.

"You can't just stop attracting men can you"
What he said shocked me to my core and I stared at him burning with anger.

"Excuse you.
It doesn't concern you either way.
I can talk to whoever I want"
I was walking away when he gripped my wrist ad turned me to face him.

"It does concern me.
I own you and I say who you can or can't talk to"
I was taken aback for a second before I regained myself and snatched my arm back.

"You don't own me
And you never will"
I walked away feeling violated

Was I going to deal with this all through my stay here?
I couldn't handle this
All this was too much for me and I needed someone to talk to but sadly I was alone here.
