Julius's POV

I got out in an abandoned farm house.

I walked in watching my back intently.
The floors were all rotten and creepy

Every step I took no matter how quiet made a noise.

All of a sudden I felt something heavy hit me at the back of my head and I fell down on my knees groaning.

I looked up to see Cyrus.

My eyes drifted to Vera who he had tied up on the floor.
She sat there with her legs and hands bounded together.

"Doll are you okay? "

"I'm okay.

Why did you come? "

"I had to save you"

Seeing her tear stained cheeks made my blood boil as I launched forward at Cyrus but immediately he pulled out a gun pointed at Vera I stopped dead in my tracks.

"You didn't think I'd invite you here without coming prepared did you? "

"What do you-"

"Shut the fuck up!

Don't ask me what I want

You locked me up and put me through 3rd degree torture and you have the balls to ask me what the fuck you did!!?

After a moment of silence he laughed

"I got absolutely nothing! "

"You got a family Cyrus.

We were eyour family until you betrayed us! "

You killed my uncle and you are here claiming to be my family! "

Cyrus never had an uncle I knew about.
He was orphaned at a young age.
We both joined the mafia together after he basically grew up with Aldonis and i

Just then it all clicked
He was ludwick's nephew who broke him out of our cells the first time

"You burnt him alive you prick!

And now I'm really without a family

You took everything I had away from me and now I'll have what you treasure so much"

He smiled sadistically as I kept my eyes trained on Vera and the gun he had in his hands

"I won't kill her

Oh no

I will kill you and then claim her as mine while you watched from wherever you end up"

He smirked making my blood boil and I kicked the gun out of his hand, i jumped on him delivering punches to his face making sure I aimed at his crooked nose.

We rolled down to the lawn throwing punched after another but mine landed heavier.
I got on my feet giving him an upper cut to his abdomen and he fell to the ground groaning

I kicked him in his abdomen but he caught my leg and pulled me down jumping on me.
He brought a dagger and tried using it to stab me but I resisted holding unto his hands.

I turned the dagger around and plunged it into his chest as he fell back.
I got up and watched as he groaned with the dagger in his chest.

I rushed over to Vera

"Julius are you okay? "

"I'm fine doll.

Come on let's go"

I untied her and all of a sudden she pushed me and got in front of me.
I looked to see Cyrus aiming his gun at her as she blocked me

"Doll
What are you doing! "

"Move away Vera! "

"No!
Your not going to kill him

Kill me instead but let him go"

"Vera! "

Vera's POV

A gun shot was fired and I was pushed back.
Before I could register what was happening, another gun shot was fired and I covered my ears.

After a while, I opened my eyes and was take aback.
Uncle Richard and Aldonis were there holding guns standing over Cyrus's dead body that had a bullet wound on his skull

My chest tightened when I saw Julius on the floor with a gun wound in his chest.

I stared as tears dropped down my face.
My chest felt heavy

"Julius!!! "

I rushed over to him taking his head on my lap I cried hysterically

"Please no

What are you doing!!

Please get up!

Please! "

No matter how much I begged or shook him he wasn't moving or responding.
I felt my heart breaking into tiny little pieces the more.

"You can't leave me like this!!

Please"

I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned with a haze of tears in my eyes to see Aldonis.
He looked at Julius and turned back to me and I knew what he was going to say.

This had to be a night mare

"No!
No!

He's not dead"

"He's dead Vera"
Aldonis was tearing up and it broke my heart.

The more I knew the truth I just couldn't accept Julius would leave me

"He won't leave me!

Don't do that
He's not dead

Julius!!!! "
