Julius's POV

We decided the best thing was to have Vera with me at all times. We have to make sure she doesn't leave our sight.
Knowing alot of people were going to be there, the chances she could secretly be attacked were very high.

"Is everything ready?"

"Yes boss
All the men are downstairs dressed like guests they have eyes everywhere down there"

"We have to keep her safe no matter what-"

We were waiting for Vera outside her door so we could go down together.
I was cut short when her room door opened and she alighted looking absolutely gorgeous.

She had on an emerald dress.

Her hair was down in it's wavy glory and the curls bounced around.

She had on gold stud ear rings

Her red glossy lip was being bitten on as she looked away shyly.
And just then I realised I had been staring for some time .

She came to me as her eyes were cast down at her feet.

I tilted her chin up so her gaze met mine.
I stared into her eyes as I tucked a bit of hair behind her ear and smiled at her.

"You look absolutely gorgeous doll"

A blush ran across the bridge of her nose making her look cute and flustered.

I brought out my arms and she linked hers in it and we began our descent downstairs.

Vera's POV

"We need to keep her safe no matter"

I stepped out to see Julius and Aldonis outside my room.
When my gaze landed on Julius I was stunned
His suit was a gorgeous emerald and black .

I noticed Julius's gaze was on me searching me from head to toe and I nibbled on my lower lip nervously with my gaze casted down

I walked up to him as I stared at his shoes not wanting to meet his eyes as my skin burned under his intense stare.

He brought his finger to tilt my face up and my eyes met his.
I stared into his eyes as he tucked my hair behind my ear

"You look absolutely gorgeous doll"

My face went hot and I couldn't believe he just said that.
It made butterflies erupt in my belly.

He brought out a hand and I linked mine through them and we started going down.

Immediately we stepped into everyone's view their stares were directed to us.
Everyone stopped what they were doing and just stared at us and I could feel my cheeks getting hot from this much attention.
I wanted to hide behind Julius as I squeezed his arm anxiously.
He placed a hand above mine and smiled down at me and I returned his gesture feeling a little better.

The room erupted into cheers and clapping as we walked further into the crowd.

Aldonis really did a great job with the decor. Everywhere was decorated in an emerald and black theme and I couldn't even recognize the living room anymore.

Mother and father came up to us and I hugged mother

"How are you Vera?"

"I'm fine Mrs Chrysant- mother"

We laughed as we watched the father and son exchange hugs beside us.

"Happy Birthday son"
Mr Chrysantos said pulling out of the hug and patting Julius on the shoulder

"Thanks Dad"

Mother went to him and mirrored what father did

"Thanks mum"

"We have a gift for you" she announced in a sing along voice and I smiled at her cuteness. Mr Chrysantos laughed and shook his head at his wife's silliness

"We bought a villa for you two in Dubai.
Since I can't force you two to go on honey moon "
She grumbled
"I can at least buy a place for you to go to and stay whenever you decide to go.

It was my idea alone"

She folded her hands against her chest and we looked at Mr Chrysantos who looked nervous

"We thought of it together

Don't mind your mother" he laughed awkwardly

"Oh so they shouldn't mind me"
She huffed and walked away and Mr Chrysantos laughed before scurrying off after his grumpy wife.

I giggled and when I looked up at Julius he was staring at me with alot of emotions in his eyes.

"Vera"

I turned to see Lexi, dressed in a black body con gown as she rushed to me and hugged me. I was taken aback for a second

"Oh my gosh, Lexi"
I hugged her back

"You look gorgeous"
She pulled away admiring me

"What are you doing here?"
I couldn't help the smile that spread across my cheeks

"Well
Your handsome husband invited me and your family.
He said we had to come"

I blinked at Lexi as tears stung my eyes .
I turned to my side to see Julius smiling down at us and I jumped hugging him.
I let some tears fall as he hugged me back
I whispered a thankyou and he nodded before I scurried off to see my family.
