If possessiveness is the outcome of true love then anger is the outcome of true care...

Aziel's pov:

This morning, I woke up before she did. I looked down at the sleeping figure in my arms and I couldn't help but smile. A genuine smile. She looked so beautiful curled up on my side, her leg wrapped around mine making it impossible for me to move.

I moved the strand of hair off her face and lightly reached to stroke her cheek with my thumb. I wasn't going to wake her up yet as she needed to rest.

My beautiful wife...

Mine...

Yesterday, we both took a step forward in our relationship. I can't wait to see where this will lead us, what our future hold... I was so devoted to my work, to my mafia that being with someone and spending time with them, never came to my mind.

Now I realised how much better this is...

Look at me sounding so whipped. If any of my enemies heard what I just said, I would instantly lose my 'dangerous, fearful' image.

She stirred, lightly opening her eyes. She looked at my chest before moving her eyes up at me.

"Good morning love," I greeted her.

She smiled, "Good morning."

"How are you feeling?" I asked cautiously.

"Sore," she stated.

I chuckled.

It was a good night...

"Well, we both need to shower." I reminded her.

"I don't think showering together is a good idea," She commented.

"I never said together... but if that what's on your mind, we can." I teased. She smiled, lightly shaking her head.

My phone rang, interrupting us. I groaned slightly before reaching to grab it from the bed table. I looked at the Id and it was Carter.

"Take it, it might be important." I heard Catalaiya say.

"Ok,"

She untangle herself from me and I pulled the blanket off me, walking to the patio. I slide to answer and I put the phone against my ear.

"Hey,"

"Hi, what's up?" I asked.

"I just got a phone call from one of the security guys that work outside Catalaiya's office and Mason is there walking back and forth on the street," Carter informed me.

What the fuck does he want now...

"Did he try anything?" I asked.

"No, not yet. The front door of the office is closed, I guess he's waiting for them to open." He replied.

"Can you go there and deal with him? If needed, threatened him and beat him." I ordered.

"Yes sir,"

"I'll talk to you later," I said

"Alright,"

We both hang up.

I felt two hands running on my back, doing down to my sides before moving to my front. I involuntarily shiver from her touch. I looked behind me and found her in her robe, smiling at me.

"Are you still on to shower... together?" Her voice was soft and innocent but her mind... not so much.

The perfect combination...

I turned around and scooped her up. She squealed, wrapping her legs around my waist. I reached to bite her lips as I walked to the bathroom.

Carter's pov:

I parked my car down the street, a little far from her office so that Mason doesn't see me and run away. I buried one of my hands in my pocket as I made my way to the front door.

The security guard gave me an acknowledging nod which I returned.

As I walked inside, I slowed my pace as I found Mason talking with Catalaiya's assistant Nayvee. Mason looked pissed while Nayvee looked fed up.

"She's not here, I can't do anything for you," Nayvee stated.

Mason scoffed, "You can call her here!"

"She's on her honeymoon, why would I do that?" Nayvee pointed out.

I stood by the counter, giving the receptionist a nod before shifting my gaze on them. I leaned against the counter.

"Call her now!" Mason hissed.

"No, I won't." Nayvee denied.

"I'll find her and go to her if you don't call her here." Mason threatened.

"Really?" Nayvee asked as she crossed her arms on her chest, raising an eyebrow at him.

"Yes!"

"Sure, go ahead find her... I'm sure Aziel is waiting to kill you anyway." Nayvee shrugged.

I chuckled, she's kinda right.

Mason moved forward and gripped her arms. I saw her winced in pain, from Mason's hold. I pulled myself from the counter walking to him. I grabbed the back of his collar and pulled him away before standing in front of her.

Mason glared at me.

"I believe that's enough," I stated.

"So he sent his minions out here huh?" He said, laughing for no reason. I just stood there looking at him blankly.

"He warned you, didn't he? And still, you choose to play ignorant and be a little bitch." I added earning a few laughs from the crowd around us.

"You are a little bitch! You work for him, don't forget." He snapped.

I chuckled humourlessly," I'm one of his friends and it has its perks. Do you want to know what we can do?"

"Whatever, it's not like-"

I punched him right in the face cutting him mid-sentence. Mind you, it wasn't a soft punch, but a hard one. Mason glared at me.

"You want another demo?" I asked.

"You little-"

"Shut up, I have had enough. I'm going to be straightforward. If you are ever seen around her or inside this building, Aziel will gladly take your body to the cemetery." I warned him.

"I'm not kidding," I added.

He clenched his jaw before he stormed out of the building defeatedly, murmuring to himself.

"Thanks,"

I turned around and my eyes landed on Nayvee. She was shorter than me, cute and right now she had rosy cheeks.

"Did he hurt you badly?" I inquired.

She shook her head no, "No but his grip will surely leave some marks."

"Put something cold onto it, it should help," I told her.

"There's nothing cold in the office, I'll have to wait till I go home." She explained.

That wouldn't help...

"Mind coming with me? I'll buy the ice packet for you." I suggested. Her eyes widened slightly.

"I- Hum- You don't have to." She denied politely.

"I insist," I told her.

"Hmm, s-sure." She hesitantly agreed.
