Sometimes love isn't all about hugs and touches. It's just meant to be felt from distance with feelings.

(April 10th)

Catalaiya's pov:

I was getting ready in my room while face-timing Kassy. The dress that I was wearing was gifted by her for my birthday but I didn't get the opportunity to wear it yet. When I told her that I was going to wear it, she face time me to see me.

I grabbed my phone and my purse before making my way downstairs. Thalia and Alfred were at the guest house having a candlelight dinner. It was Alfred's idea to surprise Thalia.

As I looked toward the living room I saw Aziel standing near the couch, wearing a black greyish suit with a bow tie and he was buttoning the buttons on his wrist.

"Ready-"

He abruptly stopped as he looked up, meeting my gaze. He stared at me as I make my way toward him. His intense stare was making me feel nervous.

He cleared his throat, "We should go."

I nodded.

We both made our way to his car. We sat down and he drove to the venue of the Charity Event party. When we arrived the guards check each car before letting us past the gates. I noticed that the guards were more tense and alarmed when they saw Aziel.

However, Aziel looks calm.

He parked the car and we both stepped out. He put his arm forward and I wrapped mine around his.

"Alicia and Adam are here too," he told me as we walked to the main entrance. Once we were in the hall, we saw a lot of people. The men were in suits but the women, all had different outfits. Some wore long gowns, some wore skin fit dresses, some wore crop tops and skirts while some wore branded jumpsuits.

We walked to the side and that's when I saw Alicia and Adam. They were both sitting at a table, looking around. As we approached, Alicia's eyes landed on us and she gave me a wide smile. She stood up from her seat, jogged toward me before wrapping her arm around me.

I removed my arm from Aziel and wrapped them around her.

"Damn girlfriend you look smoking hot." She complimented me as she pulled away.

Girlfriend?

I chuckled, "Did you see you? I'm nothing next to you."

"Nonsense," she rolled her eyes.

We heard someone clear their throat and we turned to see Adam.

"Hi," he smiled as he put his hand forward.

"Hi," I handshake him.

"We'll be back," Aziel told us before they both walked away to a group of gents.

"What was all that about?" I asked Alicia.

"Well if the men ain't complimenting us, at least we got each other's back." She gave me a wink making a laugh escape my lips.

She ain't wrong...

We sat at the table and a waiter gave us two glasses of champagne.

"There is a lot of faces that I recognised here who works as a social worker. I just hope that they don't come to meet me." She says as she sips on her champagne.

"Well, you can always say that you meet them in a mall," I suggested.

She chuckled, "I doubt men spend their day at a shopping mall."

"Oh... I thought you meant women."

"Well, there are both. But I'm hundred percent sure that only the men will approach me." She stated.

Not wrong...

They served dinner and everyone went to their tables. Aziel sat beside Adam as Alicia took the seat next to me and gave every hint that she wasn't going to move. We ate dinner and soon we heard slow music in the background. Many couples started to move in the middle to dance.

I leaned in my seat as I watched them, absentmindedly smiling.

Aziel's pov:

She wants it. It was written all over her face. The way she was smiling lightly as she watched them dance in the middle says everything.

I can't believe I'm willingly doing this...

I mean that's the least I can do for her and maybe this will make her forgive me.

Actions speaks louder than words...

I pushed my seat back before standing up. Adam gave me a questioning look but I ignore him, walking to Catalaiya's side. She looked up at me as I put my hand forward.

She glanced at my hand before looking at me, "I'm not that good at dancing,"

I reached to grab her wrist and lightly pulled her up. We both walked to the middle of the hall.

I turned around, put one of her hands on my shoulder before grabbing the other hand in mine. I put my hand on her back pulling her closer to me. I looked down at her as we started to slow dance. I could tell that she was tense.

"Relax, you are doing great," I say lowly.

"Don't jinx it, I might step on your foot." She replied while biting her bottom lips.

"That won't happen,"

I unexpectedly spin her around before pulling her onto me. She looked at me wide-eyed, with a red tint showing on her cheeks. Not gonna lie, I love the effect that I have on her, it's cute.

"You look beautiful," I complimented her, surprising myself. Those words were stuck on my lips since I saw her at home and they were begging to be let out.

She opened her mouth to say something but then closed it.

"Thank you," she finally said her voice so soft.

I spin her around again.

We went back to our first position. I stayed quiet the next few minutes as I didn't want to overwhelm her. I let her calm down and watched the red shade on her cheeks were slowly fading away.

Too bad, I love those rosy cheeks...

I looked over her shoulder and I saw Adam and Alicia dancing too. It was the first time that these two were dancing together. By the surprised expression on Alicia's face, I understood that Adam was the one who drag her in the middle.

Soon the song ended and everybody clapped their hands, going to their seats. I hope she enjoyed it.
