"So you are new here ? "Asked Taehyung as he sat on his seat and twirled a pen with his fingers.

"Yes sir."  a young man Answered.

"And you were told to report to Jungkook ?" The blond questioned again.

"Yes sir."

" Well sorry to inform you but my husband is not here and I don't really know in what department you got the job. So what should we do now ? "

"Maybe ask someone in the office ?" Suggested the intern.

"Oh yes. I should ask someone. "Said Taehyung as he put down the pen on the table and called someone on the phone.

"Glasses--- Aah I mean Arthur come in my office please ?"

Soon Taehyung heard a knock on his door.

"Come in."

"You called me sir."

" Aah yes gla--- Arthur I want to ask you if you know about the newly appointed intern."

"Yes sir I have been informed about them."

"Okay so meet----"

"William sir. "The new intern said.

"Yes William. He's the new intern here. Can you show him around and tell him about his work here?"  asked Taehyung.

"Sure sir."  said Arthur as he turned to look at William and he's eye widened for a second.

Taehyung noticed it and smirked a little.

They both introduced each other.

"William please wait outside for Arthur. I just need to have a little talk with him." Said Taehyung as the latter nodded and got out of the room.

Arthur turned to look at Taehyung.

"Okay Arthur this is your time. I saw how you looked at William. Don't be a coward. And make your move on him soon. This is your chance to get a love life. Don't screw it up." Said the blond.

"Sir ? "Muttered the other bewildered.

"What ? I'm saying the truth you were giving him the heart eyes earlier. Don't think I didn't notice it. "

"Now hurry get out. He's waiting for you and don't screw it up. It's your chance."  said Taehyung.

Shocked Arthur nodded and scrambled away from the room.

Taehyung leaned back on his chair and sighed.

"Ahh the young love. "He said and smiled.

A shrill sound was heard and caused the boy to wake up.

The blond lazily blinked and a yawn escaped his lips.

Tired he reached for his phone which was on the table and answered the call.

"Hello."  He said his voice raspy.

"Where the hell were you ? I have been calling you for half an hour. "Said Yoongi.

And Taehyung immediately sat up straight in his seat as he looked around.

He was in his office and it looked like he dozed off.

"I---I was working. Yeah I was working." Taehyung lied.

"Yeah whatever I got some news."  informed Yoongi.

"What? "

"Kai is going to meet Mr. Jeon in a while."
Taehyung furrowed his eyebrows.

"Why?"

" You know because the money he was getting from us stopped. And he wants to ask Mr. Jeon about it."

" How will Mr. Jeon answer him. He has no idea that money he was sending them stopped. It was us who stopped it." Taehyung scoffed.

"Yes but He doesn't know that does he. So he's going to him."

Taehyung hummed.

" You know I was also thinking about visiting Mr. Jeon and it feels like today is a great day so let's go and visit my father in law Yoongi hyung."  Said Taehyung with a smirk.

"Okay come down. I am  waiting for you outside."

"On my way ." said Taehyung as he got up from his seat and took his jacket.

Taehyung walked through the hallway of the building.

But stopped in his way when he saw Arthur looking at something in his cubicle.

So he quietly moved and stood behind him silently.

"Which one should I give him? "  Arthur mumbled.  He was looking at two chocolate boxes  in his hands and was trying to decide which one should he give to someone.

"Well I think he would prefer the box in your right hand ."answered Taehyung.

Arthur jumped when he heard a sudden voice.  He didn't knew someone was behind him.

He turned and saw Taehyung looking at him smugly.

"What ?" Taehyung asked blinking innocently when he saw Arthur stare at him all confused

"It's not what you think sir. It's just a welcome gift."  Arthur tried to clarify.

"Yeah------- yeah whatever. Give him the box in your right hand okay ?"

"Yes sir. "

"Well since you are giving him the right one. I'll take the left one. Can't waste the chocolates now or can we ? " muttered the blond and took the chocolate Box from the left hand.

"Oh look at the time. I'm getting late. Watch the office for me. Will you and thank you for the chocolates. I'm sure I'll enjoy them. " Said Taehyung and immediately walked away leaving the latter speechless.

"We're here. "said Yoongi as he parked the car and looked at the younger who was immersed in eating the chocolates.

"Yoongi hyung you should definitely try these chocolates. I love them."  said Taehyung with a pout as he opened another wrapper of the chocolate.

"Yes I'll try them later. Now get out of the car. You have some stuff to do. "Said the elder.

"Rude."  Taehyung huffed and got out of the car.

"Bring me some tea. " Mr. Jeon said to the maid. He sat on the long wooden  dinning table.

" Lovely I am here at the right time. A cup of tea for me too."  Said Taehyung as he entered the room and sat down in front of Mr. Jeon.

The elder sighed as the maid walked away.

"What do you want Taehyung ? "He asked tired.

"Oh I don't want anything. I just wanted to talk father in law." Replied the blond.

"See if it's anything related to your competition. I can't help you. "

"Oh don't worry about the competition I can manage it. I don't need your help. "

"I want to talk about your step sister and her son Kai." He said.

Mr. Jeon furrowed his eyebrows as he looked at him.

"What about them ? "The elder questioned.

" How are you so sure that you can trust them ? They can and will break your test later. " Said Taehyung sternly.

"She's my sister. "

"Step-sister ." retorted younger.

"You know Mr. Jeon when I first met you you said some words to me which I remember till now. " Commented younger.

Mr. Jeon looked at him bemused.

"You told me to never trust anyone. You told me how cruel this world can be. You told how calculative and greedy anyone can be."

"You did nothing but to scare a boy who was new to this world. You wanted to break the younger me. And you almost succeeded."

" That's what's happening with you and your sister but instead of me  you are there and she's the one that taking the lead . She's manipulating you. And you're getting manipulated."

" In my case you tried to manipulate me to leave kook but the  truth is completely different. Because in this world  you also need someone to trust. Someone to lean on."

"It's true people are calculative and greedy. They can stab you in the back. But there are also some people who feel like a home to you."

"There are always two sides. It depends upon which side you focus on. I only focused on the negative part for a while in the past but you're only focusing on the positive part that you got your sister back."

"I know you're retired but just don't stop being cautious."

"Think about what I told you."  said Taehyung and left the room leaving Mr. Jeon in silence.

"Oh hello Taehyung I didn't know I'll see you here." Greeted Kai as he came across Taehyung in the hallway.

The blond stared at him for a second but soon started to walk again completely ignoring him.

But Kai didn't let him as the latter effectively pinned him to the wall.

Taehyung's eyes widened for a second but soon he composed himself and looked at the latter bored.

" Aren't you feisty ? I love your boldness Taehyung. After I win this competition I might just steal you away from Jungkook."  Said Kai as he lifted his hand to touch Taehyung's cheek but the latter didn't let him and held his wrist.

"What a typical thing to say  huh ? " Taehyung snickered.

"Bitch who do you think I am huh? I am Jungkook's and I will always be Jungkook's always. There's no one that can separate us. And you don't even deserve to think about me. "

"I am a king and you're just a peasant.
And perhaps you mistook something-- you are nothing compared to Jungkook."

"So stop your idiotic thought. How about that ? "

Taehyung pushed Kai away and he pinned the now shocked Kai on the wall.

Taehyung smiled smugly.

"What ?  I can do it too. "

Taehyung's face dropped as he stared at him emotionless.

" Don't ever do this again. I swear I won't hold back the next time and no one will be able to save you ." said Taehyung in a dark tone that sent shivers down other's spine.

Taehyung backed off and walked away. And Kai staring at him in disbelief.
