Flashback ~ August 17, 1987 ~ Olympus

ANNABETH CHASE

It has been seven years since the war with the giants. And it's the 7th year of my immortality.

Bit by bit, Camp Half Blood and Camp Jupiter are recovering from all the damage and loss it gets from the war. The two camps have sworn allegiance and loyalty to each other, setting aside all the rivalries and differences between Roman and Greek. The Gods and Goddesses are still bound by the laws to not visit their kids.

Nonetheless, a lot of demigods are being recognized now by their Godly parents and claimed. New faces can now easily recognize through the crowd filled with the old campers inside the camps. And as years went by, the harmony and peace filled the midst of the air.

"eth! Annabeth!"

"W – what?" I mumbled. I roamed around my gaze and realized that I'm now inside the Olympus castle and the Olympian Gods and Goddesses are staring at me weirdly. I let out a faint sigh with traces of sorrow pushed through out of my mouth.

"You okay dear?" my mother, Athena, Goddess of Wisdom and Battle Strategy asked.

I took a deep breath and gave a mourning smile and nodded, "Yes mother, I'm okay" I finally said, but I could see the worriedness in her eyes, and surprisingly, along with the other Gods, especially Poseidon, the God of the Seas and father of horses.

"Im fine, mother, I can handle myself." I began, "I came here because I finished the new designs of the cabins just as you all requested. We started the renovation but Chiron said to ask you if you wanted to add more details for your children's cabin."

After an hour or so I spent at Olympus, I soared the north shore of Long Island to get back to Camp Half Blood. It's been a long day and I could feel the heaviness of my body. I arrived at the magical borders of the camp that ensured that no monsters could sneak inside, I got past the fighting arena, a climbing wall with lava for training, an amphitheater and the Big House. I could see now the cabin for the Athena children when a glinting reflection of the moon caught my attention. I looked in its direction and saw the swaying temptation of the canoeing lake.

I didn't hesitate and walked straight to the lake and sat on the shore. I took in the cold breeze ruffling in the air and exhaled. I fasten my arms to my knees and lean my chin on it.

"Hello Percy!" I greeted the burbling sound of the lake.

"I'm okay, your wise girl is just doing fine here." I mumbled with a faint smile while my fingers were playing with the sands. I was answered back by the same sound of the water in front of me.

"Yeah! I miss you too, seaweed brain."

I stayed for almost an hour on the shore until I decided to stand up and go back. But, instead of going in the Athena Cabin, I walk straight to a long, low building with windows facing the lake and a trident with a big bronze number 3 engraved over the door. Undoubtedly, I stepped in and went to one of the empty bunk beds and laid my body down.

I looked around and saw that his belongings are still intact here. A smile spread across my face as I sat and hugged his favorite blue nemo pillow. After a while, I decided to stand up and went to a table across his bed. In there, picture frames are still standing, there's a picture of his mom Sally and step dad Paul, another with his half-brother Tyson, and standing in the middle, a picture of us; hands intertwined, both smiling happily.

I picked up the picture of us together. The tears I've been holding for this day is now staining my face. My heart can't stop beating rapidly as I felt the weakness of my knee causing me to fall and tremble on the floor. Hugging the picture, I noticed the time in my wrist watch...

11:59:57 pm

11:59:58 pm

11:59:59 pm

12:00:00 am

Releasing a breath, I unconsciously holding, A smile in my face materialized. Before sleep devoured me, I gave out my love to a person I'll never get the chance to see again.

"Happy Birthday, Percy."

In my dream, I'm inside a small room that is quite untidy yet astounding. Touch of blue is evident from every single corner of this place. From the curtains of the windows, the color of the walls, even the tablecloth and the frame of a picture hung on the wall. Everything is blue.

"I wish he could see this place." I mumbled, a sorrowed smile materializing in my face.

My thoughts had rather clouded my vision until I was pulled out by a mumbling sound. I walked closer as I examined the source of the sound and saw a 7-year-old boy; he has a handsome smooth face with messy jet-black hair and pale skin. The first time I saw him, everything was so unfamiliar, but he looked like a sleeping angel.

"Hey kiddo!" I muttered, "So, we've met again." I let out a low chuckle.

"I mean, I saw you again here in my dream, but you're always sleeping whenever I visit. That's not fair!" I protested sarcastically. I hear him muttering something but I couldn't get any. His breath is getting heavier and tears are running through his eyes.

"Ann..."

"Annab..." I caught the word.

And for the first time in years of seeing him in my dreams, he slid open his eyelids, revealing an all so familiar eye color. A faint gasp escaped from my mouth.

Then I woke up.

Present Day ~ June 30, 1991 ~ Wisteria Walk, Little Whinging

ÍROAS

It's been a week since the incident in the zoo, and I haven't seen Harry after that. I reckon my buddy's been in his throne room slash cupboard all on his own.

Honestly! Those freaking dumbass Dursleys all did is to punish him without even investigating whose fault is it. What a bunch of idiots.

But I too couldn't understand how the Hades did that mirror suddenly vanished into thin air. How did that even happen? I was too engrossed from deciphering the incident that I ended up coming back to an unexplainable memory of mine that happened just last year. – Anyways...

AAHHGGGGG!!!!

My head is starting to burn because of that freaking zoo accident plus the unwanted flashback memory. – AHG! I don't wanna think about it."

On second thought, whoever did that, I'll make sure to befriend that guy for making those two bullies scream like teenage girls.

Here I am in my so-called blue room playing my most precious mythomagic cards and figurines of Greek and Roman Mythologies that my uncle gave to me but my head is still on the incident.

"I'm worried sick towards Harry and those Dursleys can't even allow me to see him!" I mumbled for the millionth time.

Placing my mythomagic in the box right in the corner of my bed, I then stand and walk towards the window to look for my favorite constellation in the night sky.

The first time I saw it, I immediately felt familiarity but I don't know the name. And because I am too lazy to search for it, and also due to my dyslexia, I then decided to name it myself.

When I'm in my perfect position at my window, I then smile when I see her "Hi Zoë! Looking good up there!"

Summer holidays had started and apparently Harry's been hiding in my room because of those goons AKA Dudley and friends and their so-called Harry Hunting. But! On the bright side, we get to spend more days together and play my mythomagic cards and figurines. And yeah! Harry doesn't much have a choice to play it with me even though he's not a very big fan of it, unlike me, plus we don't have much anything to do aside from watching tv and eating my own recipe of blue chocolate cookies.

Next morning as expected, Harry walked straight into my room but not because of hiding. Apparently, Dudley and his mother – Mrs. Petunia Dursley went to London to buy a uniform while his uncle is working at the moment.

"Hey spirit, have you decided what school you're going to?" he asked.

"Don't know yet greenie! Aunt Figg seems to be waiting for something before she enrolled me"

"Seriously!?" he taunted, giving me a sardonic face. "Greenie? Coming from you huh, greenie?" I just smirked, and put my hands up in the air for surrender.

"How about you? Any luck?" I asked.

Harry then narrowed his eyes at me then pout and fake cried "My cousin and I are going in different school; I'm gonna miss my precious Ickle Dudleykins" he said while wiping his invisible tears. We let out a loud laugh until our throat dried out.

"Dudley's going to Smeltings while your friend here is going to live a peaceful life away from those goons in Stonewall High" he said wearing an astonished face.

"Yeah! Good for you scar-face"

Wednesday Morning ~ July 31, 1991

Today is Harry's birthday, but! My good for nothing so-called friend didn't even say that he's leaving much less said where he's going. I even baked him blue chocolate cookies.

"Tsk! I'll just give it to him when he comes back and make sure to punch his ribs." I promised to myself, grinning evilly as I went back straight to my room.

After letting out my frustration for a moment, I heard Aunt Figg called me from the living room. I rolled my eyes and released a long sighed.

"Just a minute!"

I then stood from my bed and looked at the reflection of myself from the mirror that is standing beside the door. After a minute of tidying up myself, I let my legs walk me to where my aunt is.

In the living room, I saw my aunt accepting a letter from a tall, stern-looking lady with black hair that is tightly bun and wearing a black slender robe. When Aunt Figg noticed me, she then gave me a reassuring smile. – I kinda don't like strangers. – I release a sigh of relief and walk closer to them.

"There you are dear, meet Professor Minerva McGonagall, she's one of the teachers who teaches at Hogwarts" I snorted at the name of the school, but hid it immediately.

"Hogwarts?" I asked.

"Oh yes, here's your letter Mr. Olympia – you've been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry" confused to what she said, I raised my eyebrow while accepting the letter she's giving me.

"I believe Mrs. Arabella Figg here has explained everything to you about Hogwarts and all." Still giving her my confused look, she then caught my muddled face. "I believe no – no?" shifting her gaze from me to aunt and back at me,

"You see young man, Hogwarts is a school for people who can do magic and spells out of their wands. A school dedicated to witches and wizards like us so they can enhance their...."

"W-w-wait! – like us? – you mean to say I'm a witch and I have magic!?"

Professor McGonagall snorted at me, as though restraining herself from laughing, "Wizard to be exact Mr. Olympia, and yes, you could do magic" she hummed.

Looking at my aunt with disbelief, expecting her to laugh and say that everything the lady mentioned is just a prank; but no, nothing! – she just gave me a warm smile. I shifted my gaze back to the lady. "Can you – uhm can you..."

"Prove it?" the lady continued, still wearing her earnest smile. I simply nodded.

From inside her robe, she pulled a brown wooden rod with something engraved to it and pointed it at the glass on the table and muttered under her breath. All of a sudden, the glass immediately flew straight to where Professor McGonagall is and caught the glass.

Breaking from the shock and amazement I said "Okay I'm convinced now!" with excitement, not minding the fact that she's still a stranger to me and grinned, reflecting the feeling that I have right now.

Professor McGonagall then smiled "My work here is done, see you at Hogwarts Mr. Olympia – anything you need is written on the letter" but before she could leave, I asked her.

"Uhm can I tell it to my friend – you know, about me at least?"

Professor McGonagall looked at me then to Aunt Figg, understanding who I was talking about. "Oh, you mean Mr. Harry Potter? – don't worry dear, he's going to meet you at Hogwarts soon"

As I'm about to ask a question the lady seems to know what I'm about to ask "Yes Mr. Íroas Thymos Olympia, he is also a wizard! And like you, Mr. Potter will start at Hogwarts as a first year" she then turned her back to us.

"Cool!"

"One more thing Professor!" I blurted out with amusement and that made the stranger whom I barely know look back at me again.

"Did you know that your name is the name of a Roman Goddess? I have a cousin..."

"Yes Mr. Olympia" she cut me in, but with a warm and fond smile, "I'm aware of that, but thank you for sharing with me." She looked at my Aunt and they both giggled.

"I told you he'd say that!" my Aunt said between the gaps of his low laugh.

"You're exactly how your Aunt describes you. Full of life. – Anyway, I have to go now, it's nice to meet you Mr. Olympia." She finally said, and with that, she took her leave. But before she could do that, I think I saw a glimpse of wariness slipped on her face, as if she saw something in me. Someone dangerous. – "Hmm... Must be just my imagination." I gave a smile to a now absent lady and looked at the letter she gave me.

Upon opening the letter, I excitedly summoned all my concentration to read it. "Damn you Dyslexia, always giving me a hard time reading" I mumbled out of frustration.
