Third Person POV

Six years later

Ember-colored leaves were fluttering softly in the autumn wind, making the place look like a perfect painting. The park had a lot of people; families, couples, and friends. Faces ridden with smiles, the weekend was filled with laughter and joy, causing the scene to be much more picturesque.

In the windy park, some people had strewn blankets on the ground, having a picnic. One of these people was a large group of a family.

Fiona smiled in contentment as she lounged comfortably under the sun. Picking up a sandwich that they had packed, she handed it to Miley, who had requested it.

"Thanks, Fee!" Miley, the ever-energetic blondie smiled at her best friend in gratitude and then turned to her adopted son, a seven-year-old little bunny that was as hyper as his foster mother.

"Thank you, mommy!"

"You're welcome, my little bunny. Hey! Eat slowly, you'll get choked that way." Miley said somewhat helplessly as she watched her son gobble up the sandwich in a few seconds.

Their bond of being hyperactive made these two close to each other even more than other foster parents with their adopted children.

"Say, where is Jordan? Wasn't he supposed to pick up his newest girlfriend and come here?" Fiona suddenly asked, looking around as she searched for their male best friend.

Alyssa, having heard the question, sneered, "Who the fuck cares where that shitty asshole is? He better not bring his new conquest to see his son, or else I won't let him."

Alyssa and Jordan, who had been married and happy years ago, were divorced a year and a few months ago. Ever since then, Jordan had been hopping to different women, making him quite popular as a playboy. He was now a star in the basketball industry, which made women flock to him, regardless of his record. Plus, he was extremely hot after so many years.

"Hey! Don't curse in front of the children!" Fiona reprimanded their uncensored friend.

Jordan and Alyssa's child, a six-year-old boy, was jumping to and fro both parents since both of them had custody, which Alyssa was currently fighting in court for the whole of. She didn't want her son to be influenced by his prodigal father.

Meanwhile, Alyssa had adopted her new child with Natasha. They weren't broken up, but the two of them were always hot and cold toward each other. Sometimes, it felt like the passion would make them stay with each other, but other times, they seemed to be hanging off a thread of each other, and on the brink of breaking.

The two mothers watched as their kids ran away with each other to play. At first, they weren't far, but soon after, as the children were distracted by one another, the adults looked worried but lazy at the same time.

Knowing that these mothers really wouldn't stand up until necessary at the last moment, the only male in the group shook his head in amusement and helplessness. Clutching his two-year-old little girl with him, the black-haired man stood up and followed the kids.

Fiona smiled again in happiness as she saw her husband voluntarily stand up and follow the two active children. Those nearby that saw this action were immediately impressed and envious. Where can they get a man like this?

In his late twenties, this male specimen looked extremely attractive. He didn't have many muscles like other men, but he also wasn't scrawny by any means. His black hair was slightly ruffled by the cool wind, and his glasses made him look like a doctor. Coupled with a shirt, plaid flannel, and ripped jeans, his casual look fit perfectly in his figure.

When he saw that they were too distracted from each other and bumped into someone, he hurried into a jog.

But when he looked in the face of the woman whom the kids bumped into his back unexpectedly turn stiff, and a faint throb was felt in his heart and brain.

Regina stepped out of the building, having just finished signing a deal -blackmailing- with someone that had been very annoying lately. This new, young, arrogant, and inexperienced CEO had been rejecting every subordinate of hers that came to sign up a contract with him, even going as far as to kill some of them.

Irritated to the point of torturing someone until they didn't have any soul left in their eyes, she had now come personally and had caused fear in the hearts of many businessmen that heard of her arrival. They didn't know how much she was fully capable of, but the things that she showed them she could have already installed a deep fear in their hearts.

Unfortunately for him, this new CEO had no idea how much Regina could do, and tried to seduce her instead.

He had found her extremely hot, even though she was wearing a formal suit and pants and nothing that showed much skin. Thinking that she was just a weak little girl who had her daddy pass on the business for fun, he had underestimated her.

But when Regina threw to his face a bunch of files that contained all of his dirty work, his face paled as white as the papers that he was currently holding.

So now, Regina entered her car, not quite feeling satisfied with her success. This was just a small achievement, couldn't even hold a candle to the ones before. It was too easy.

"Where to?" Soren, who was driving in front, inquired.

Regina shrugged, saying, "I don't know. Wherever." Then, she leaned backward on the seat and softly closed her eyes.

Seeing that she didn't want to go back home or to the hotel where they were currently staying, Soren took the liberty to just drive aimlessly around the New York streets.

Suddenly, he thought of the park. Surely Regina would like to get some fresh air, right? With that idea in mind, he now had a definite destination and headed towards the nearest park to them.

When Regina felt the car stop, she opened her eyes and glanced around.

'The park?'

She then looked at Soren, wanting him to answer her question which she hadn't voiced out.

Knowing what that look meant, the auburn answered, "I just thought that it would be great for you to have some fresh air. Don't you agree?"

Regina raised a brow.

"What? It's good for the health!" Soren exclaimed, feeling extremely defensive, "Plus, what're you gonna lose anyways? Come on, Regina. You gotta relax now and then too."

Rolling her eyes, Regina left her things in the car and stepped out. As she was wearing a semi-formal suit and looking like a classy and rich businesswoman, she immediately attracted people's attention. Especially because she was wearing this kind of an outfit in the area of a park.

With an indifferent face, Regina walked on. She had to admit, the scenery of the falling yellow and orange leaves was such a sight. She got distracted by them and suddenly she felt something bump into her knees.

Looking down from her tall figure, she saw a little boy around five to six years old, and another one that looked seven. Blinking her eyes in somewhat a sense of confusion, she stared at the two kids, and they did the same as well.

Just when she was about to walk away, a form started to emerge from her line of sight. Thinking that it was the children's guardian, she looked towards the person.

Her heart throbbed almost painfully.

'It's... It's him...'

Regina POV

'R-Rayver...'

I quickly composed my shocked look. Seeing him here... I didn't expect that. While yes, I knew that he was here in New York according to Soren's continuous checking up on him, I didn't expect to bump into him here at this park.

Hell, the world is such a large fucking place, but we still managed to meet coincidentally?!

When I saw Rayver smile at me, I couldn't help but swallow and grit my teeth. Does he remember me? Did he get his memories back? How will he react?

As I felt my mind was going haywire, Rayver had fully closed the distance between us. Still smiling like it was his usual expression, Rayver spoke, "Hi, I'm sorry if these kids bothered you."

I quickly answered with a nonchalant face, hoping that my voice wouldn't crack, "It was no problem."

His smile... Since when haven't I seen this smile? My favorite smile. It's like he hasn't changed much... Ever since Soren had saved him, I told Soren to take care of everything Rayver needed. I didn't dare to even look at a picture of him, knowing well that I would be distracted, so every time the thought of my brother came, I tried to shut off my mind.

I tell myself that I'm fine without him, but inside, my heart is screaming and wailing in agony.

"Are these your kids?" I blurted out.

DAMN IT, REGINA! Shut the fuck up! You're just fucking hurting yourself!

I watched as Rayver slightly flushed at my question, then answered, "Ah, no. They're my friends' children, only this little girl is my daughter."

That was when I just noticed the little peanut in his arms. She looked like a two-year-old, and her face looked exactly like Rayver's, but her hair and eyes probably came from her mother. 'Kiara', 'Farah' something?

"Oh, what a cute neonata." I unconsciously complimented. Seeing his confused look, I immediately explained the meaning of what I said to him. Wouldn't want to cause misunderstandings. "It means 'baby girl'. It's Italian."

Having a look of realization, Rayver nodded, then said, continuing the conversation, "Her name's Eena."

My eyes widened, and I felt my back stiff. 'Ina'??

{A/N: Same pronunciation, different spellings from their thoughts.}

He continued, "Aleena Cruise."

I tried to smile, feeling my mouth twitch instead. "Oh? W-well, I have to go now."

No.

I don't want to go.

"Oh, is that so?"

No.

Don't make me leave.

Let me stay with you for a few more seconds.

"Well, take care, miss."

Please.

Don't go.

"Let's go, kids."

Then, I turn and walk away.

~~

Rayver POV

"Let's go, kids," I say, leading the two boys back to our spot. They giggle like they knew a secret only they did and ran ahead of me back to their mothers.

I shook my head. These kids are so energetic.

"Daddy!"

I looked down at my little angel and smiled back at her wide grin to me. As I went back to our group, I couldn't help but think of that woman I met earlier.

Does she know me? Did I know her? I can't help but feel as though... She was familiar... And, she looked exactly like me too. Does that mean anything?

When I arrived back, Alyssa and Miley were scolding their children, while Fiona was fixing up some of Eena's favorite biscuits for the little girl to chew on.

"Hey, everything okay there? We couldn't see you anymore since there were quite a lot of people around. They blocked our view of you guys." Fiona said, putting a hand on my shoulder.

I smiled at her. This woman is the woman that I married. I love her, as much as she loves me. When I woke up from a coma which I had according to the doctors, she was the first person that I saw. I had a sense of familiarity with her, so I felt comfortable around her.

None of us knew how I lost my memories, and even though the doctor told us that I would get my memories eventually, I still haven't had them back six years later, which is now.

"We just met this woman, and she seemed... Familiar to me. I think I knew her before I lost my memories." I answered honestly.

Fiona slightly furrowed her eyebrows seeing my frown. My Lost memories were a taboo rarely mentioned, but because of the new memories we have made, we didn't think of the past much.

Seeing my wife's troubled look, I comforted her, "Don't worry. Maybe my memory will come back sooner or later. Nothing to be upset about."

Seeing her smile back on her face, I felt contented.

You don't deserve to be.

Third Person POV

The sound of faint breathing was the only sound that was audible in the car. Soren glanced through the mirror at Regina. She was looking through the window of the car, watching as her brother sat with his friends.

Those eyes that watched him were full of sorrow and longing, but with helplessness at the same time.

"Regina?" Soren started hesitantly, unsure of what to properly say. "Are we taking him with us?"

He heard her exhale deeply, and say, "No."

Soren was taken aback.

Didn't she plan on doing that? To reunite with her brother? All her sacrifices... Were for him. Wasn't it to get her brother back?

Unable to stop himself from questioning, Soren blurted out, "But why?"

With a blank expression but pained eyes, Regina answered, "This life that he has... It's better. Way better than if he were with me. With me, he would always be in danger. He should be here, living a normal life. He's happy, and safe, and doesn't need to continually look over his shoulder. I won't take that away from him."

"But... He still can't remember you..." Soren said, concerned about his queen. "All this was for him, and now, you can easily tell him, so... Why?"

Why won't you tell your brother the truth? Why won't you let yourself be happy?

With a sad, broken smile, Regina answered, still staring at her happy brother, "Because he's my brother, and I love him."

Seeing her look like this, Soren didn't like it, so he started the car and drove forward, and like that, they left Rayver Cruise.

'Se arriva il giorno in cui rinasceremo ancora una volta, sarebbe bello stare con te, quindi ti aspetterò fino ad allora...'

{If the day comes that we are reborn once again, it'd be nice to be with you, so I'll wait for you until then...}
