I'm pacing my apartment. My heart is beating fast but the blood is going anywhere but where it's supposed to because I feel dizzy. And my legs ache. Sebastian is asleep in my bed. Sprawled underneath my sheets, like he lives here.

I hear footsteps and I turn to face my bedroom door. Sebastian walks out. His trousers hang loosely on his waist, his shirt hangs open. He runs his hand over his face. 'Hey.' He says in a sleepy voice when he notices me. He rubs his hand on the nap of his neck and smiles.

I tilt my head to the side 'Sebastian, you need to leave. Now.'

'Why? Can we have breakfast first?' He says coming closer

'No.'

'Well, if we have breakfast you could interview me.' He stands in front of me, looks down and zips up the fly on his trousers.

I attempt to step back but end up being blocked by the counter. 'I don't want to spend more time with you than I have to.'

'Did you have to have sex with me?' He smirks, before placing his hands on the counter, either side of me. His gaze lingers down my body and then settles on my face.

I have no idea why that makes my heart beat faster than it just was, or why that turns me on. But I will not let him have control over me. I hold his gaze and bring my face inches away from his before placing my hands on his shoulders and pushing him off me.

'Fine. Just wait for me to change.'

We decide to walk.

'You know, I can't figure you out.' He says

I look at him. 'Maybe I don't want you to figure me out.'

He shrugs 'I think you just don't want to let anyone in.'

I stop and glare at him. He holds his hands up.'Fine, I'll mind my own business.'

I carry on walking 'I have every right to file a restraining order against you.'

'Alexis, you were the one who let me in your apartment.'

'Sebastian, you were the one who turned at my door, unannounced.'

'Wow, big words.'

'Stop patronising me.'

He smiles 'This way m'lady.' He says pointing towards the entrance of the cafe he was taking me to.

I roll my eyes and step in, the entrance is narrower than I expected, I try to step to the side but Sebastian comes up behind me, places his hands on my waist and slides past me. I feel a shiver up my spine when he does that. I shake it off.

The lady at the seating desk is staring at Sebastian like he's an attraction at the circus.

'Mr Grey, It's so lovely to see you again.' She says

'Yeah, table for two.' He says bluntly.

That's when she realizes that I'm there. She looks over to me in disgust and then decides it's best to ignore me.

'I've got the perfect table for you. Follow me.' She says, looking back at Sebastian.

She seats us at a table away from everyone else. Places a menu in front of Sebastian, chucks one at me and says she'll be back.

'How come you get special treatment? I ask

'Cause I own the cafe.' He says quietly, not quite meeting my eyes.

'Oh.'

The waitress comes back with two coffees. She places them in front of us, I look down at mine, unsure whether it's laced with poison or not.

'Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day, you know.' He says looking back up.

'Really. Why?' I say.

'I'm not sure to be honest.' He looks away again, like he's lost in thought.

'There's literally only a limited amount of things you could eat for breakfast.' I say

'No,' He says, looking right at me and smirking. 'You could eat absolutely anything for breakfast.'

I cough, spitting out my coffee in the process.

He laughs, 'You need to get your mind out of the gutter.'

'You need to wash your mouth out with soap.' I retaliate, smiling

He laughs, leans back and asks. 'What's your favourite meal?'

'Mh, I don't really have one.'

'Why?' He asks. He seems genuinely confused at why I don't have a favourite meal.

I shrug and take another sip of my coffee. 'I eat out of necessity not, not because I enjoy too.'

He shakes his head. 'Seriously. I can't allow you to live your life and not enjoy food. Absolutely not. You just haven't eaten the right foods.'

I laugh. 'Okay. How are you going to make me enjoy food?'

He leans in, 'Let me cook for you.'

'Seriously?'

'Yeah.'

I raise my eyebrows 'You can cook?'

He raises his hand to his chest like he's offended. 'Yeah.'

I laugh 'And what would you cook for me?'

'Anything you haven't ever eaten before.'

I smile. 'Okay, fine. Widen my palate.'

A lady comes up to our table. She's dressed in chef's whites so I assume she is one. She doesn't give one glance in my direction. She sucks up to Sebastian, like every other woman in this place.

I shake my head and look out the window beside us. My mind takes me back to last night. The way he touched me. The way I felt when he kissed me. I'm getting butterflies just thinking about it. He knew how to make me need him. How to make me crave his presence.

'What are you thinking about?' He asks

The lady seems to have disappeared. Finally,

'You.' I say

'Yeah? What about me?'

He moves forward. His leg resting against mine.

I take a sharp breath and move my leg back. I need to change the subject.

'What do you want to talk about in the article I'm doing on you?'

'Isn't that your job? To figure out what to talk about.'

'Yeah, I suppose, but-'

'How about we just talk and you write whatever you want.'

I raise my eyebrows 'Anything?'

'Yeah.' He shrugs 'I don't really care about the way that the media view me, it's my publicist whose life seems to depend on the amount of followers I have.'

I laugh. 'Okay.'

Then he meets my eyes. 'I only really care what you think of me.'

I bite my bottom lip to stop myself from smiling.

'Hey, don't do that,' He says. Then he leans forward and pulls my lip from my teeth with his thumb. 'I love your smile.' He whispers.

Just then, we are interrupted by a very familiar voice. 'Uh,' I whip my head around, only to see Alice standing there looking half amused and half shocked.'What is this?' She says pointing frantically between me and Sebastian.

I shake my head. 'No-'

'Is this what I think it is?' She's looking between us like she's expecting an answer.

Sebastian leans back in his chair. I look at him and he's grinning.

'Alice, this is business.' I say pointing between me and Sebastian.

Then he leans forward and says, 'This is breakfast.'

He's clearly finding this fun, and so is Alice because she's now pulling up a chair at our table.

'Is this why you missed your date with Theo yesterday?' She asks.

It takes me a while to register what she's saying. But when I do, panic sets in.

'Oh my god,' I look at Sebastian, who does not seem happy now that Theo has been mentioned 'Oh my god.'

I grab my phone and look at it properly for the first time since yesterday evening. Six missed calls, three voice messages and five texts. All from Theo.

'I'll be back.' I say before running out of the cafe.

I call Theo three times and he doesn't pick up any of them. I lean against the wall of the cafe. Words can't describe the way that I feel right now. I really shouldn't do this to myself. I shouldn't put myself in situations that I know are bad for me. Situations that make me pick between good and bad.

I walk back into the cafe, tell Sebastian I have to go, grab Alice by the hand and walk right back out.
