I have to sort myself out. This is the fourth time I've been here this week. I'm so sure he thinks I'm stalking him. But I'm not, like I don't follow him places. I just turn up at his work. Here. At starbucks. Pretty much everyday. For the last month.

I peer through the window at the front, doing my worst at being inconspicuous. I feel a tap on my shoulder and swing my head around, getting my hair in my face. 'Are you going in?' I flap my hands around my face, brushing my hair out of my eyesight. I blink twice and look up. A tall, lean man, with dark hair and dark eyes stands in front of me. He smiles sheepishly whilst he gestures to the door he's holding open, his shirt sleeve rides up in the process exposing the beginning of a tattoo. I raise my eyebrow. I give him a tight smile. 'Yup.' I say. I duck under his arm and enter the coffee shop.

I look at the menu, crossing my arms across my chest. Maybe I should try something new, ice brews are getting old. 'Back again are we.' Alice says from behind the counter.

'Yup.' I reply without looking at her. I feel her smirk. She knows why I'm here. I'm sure she's sussed it out by now. 'What are we ordering?' She asks, except she's not talking to me anymore. I glance behind me, and almostly directly behind me stands the tall, dark haired man. His arms were crossed just like mine, like he was mimicking me. He turns and shakes his head at Alice. She nods in return, mutters something under her breath and disappears behind the employee-only sector.

'What are you going to have?' Says a smooth, deep voice behind me. I turn my head, slowly. 'Why?' I ask. I don't need random men prying in my business, especially if it's not the man I want prying. 'I just want to know,' He shrugs before looking into my eyes, leaning in and asking 'Can I make a recommendation?' I blink, think about it, and then reply. 'No.' I look right at him when I say it. His face doesn't fall. He doesn't look disappointed. He looks amused. He smiles, stands up straight, looks at his watch and walks out. I sneer. Why do people find the need to talk to me, when I make it clear that I don't want to talk to them. Like go away.

I turn towards the counter just as Theo comes out of the employee- only door. 'Hey you.' he says with a smile that shows off his dimples. His blue eyes, his messy fringe haircut and his curly blonde hair lures me in everytime. 'Hey.' I said almost breathlessly.

'Ice brew again?' He asks, looking directly at me. I nod. Sure, I'll have that again. I watch him float around behind the counter creating my order. 'Alice said there was a guy here. What happened to him?' Theo asks

'He left,' I say, waving his question away with my hand. 'I think he was on a time limit or something.'

He smiles again. Oh, those dimples could resurrect me. 'I hope you're not driving away my customer Alexis' He says, his eyes twinkle so I smile in return.

'Never.' I reply with a small laugh.

'So a few of us are going bowling next Saturday.'

'You are?' I raise my eyebrow

'Yeah,' he pauses, looks up and down again, closes my coffee and places it on the counter before carrying on. 'I was wondering if you want to come.'

I bite my cheeks to stop myself from smiling. There is a literal party happening in my head.

'Sure.' I reply.

He pushes my coffee forward, 'I'll see you soon.' He says before pushing his hands into his pockets and walking through that damn employee-only door.

I close my eyes and open them again. I am absolutely convinced that I just imagined that that just happened. All my hardwork has finally paid off. I pick up my coffee and realise that instead of my name, he's written an eleven digit number. His number. A great big smile spreads on my face as I walk out. Next week Saturday can't come soon enough.
