"What do you mean your dropping the investigation!?" Joey grabbed the man who sat behind the desk by the shirt. "Don't give me that crap! Someone was killed and your just giving up!?" The man grabbed Joey's wrist stuttering. The sound of two doors slamming open got all of our attention.

"What is the meaning of this!? Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to leave. Now!" Two police men were pulling Joey off the secretary towards the exit. He thrashed and flailed until one of the men threatened to arrest him. He turned to us and mouthed 'sorry' to which I nodded waving to him as he waited outside for us. The rest of us turned back to the man at the desk.

"Why exactly is the investigation being dropped?" Tristan was trying to keep calm, but we all were in shock. The secretary clumsily scrambled through papers trying to find Solomon Mutou, my grandfathers file. After a minute he opened a folder and put on his glasses as he read out loud.

"Not enough evidence.... Zero suspects.... Other important cases.... It seems there were no leads in the investigation so until further notice it's being postponed." The man looked up to us with a frightened look. It wasn't this mans fault clearly, but I was furious that they could let a murderer run around freely like it was no big deal.

"We want to speak to the head of the investigation department! And we're not leaving until we do." Yami wore a most terrifying face piercing the man behind his desk with blood red eyes.

"I-I'm sorry he ca-" the man started but Yami bared his teeth making him jump back and franticly dial on his desk phone. "There's some kids who....About the Mutou case...Yes, but they insist...Okay... Okay I'll send them up." The man hung up the phone and turned his chair to us. "He's on the third floor room 201." We started heading for the elevator. I bowed to the man behind the desk and apologized for being rude. We arrived at room 201. I reached up to knock on the door, but Yami slammed it open before I had the chance. An older man sat at his desk with his elbows bent resting his chin on his folded hands. Yami walked right up to him.

"Why did you cancel the investigation of a murder? That doesn't sound like something the police should be doing now does it?" Yami's tone was the coldest I've ever heard it. The man locked eyes with Yami as he spoke calmly never breaking contact.

"As my secretary probably informed you, there was little to no evidence at the scene of the crime, meaning there were no fingerprints, DNA from hair or saliva, weapons nor footprints. With no leads to go from we have postponed the investigation to work on other cases which have stronger leads, that are just as serious as your case. Believe me if I had any say I would keep working on your investigation." We all stared at the man in confusion.

"So your not in charge of the case?" Anzu asked stepping closer to the man.

"I am indeed in charge of your case, but I did not give the order for it to be put on hold. That order was given to me by someone your are quite familiar with young lady." Her eyes grew wide as she stepped closer.

"My father?" The man at his desk nodded.

"Commissioner Surichiro Mizaki." We all turned to her. None of us knew her father has anything to do with the police, let alone be the commissioner. Anzu and I have known each other for a very long time. She never once mentioned her father and I never met him.

"Anzu we have to speak to your father. Can you get him to meet with us?" Maya asked her, but Anzu tightened her fists and stared at the ground and shook her head.

"Mr.Mizaki isn't the easiest person to track down. From what I've heard, he's never around his family, even when he has free time." The man behind the desk spoke softly now staring at Anzu as anger seemed to spread across her face. I reached my hand out to rest on her shoulder as she released the grip on her fists. "Even us here at the station almost never see him."

"I hate my father. I don't even remember what he looks like." She turned to me anger still written on her face. "But if it's for you Yugi, I'll try." I smiled apologetically at her.

"Thank you so much. I really appreciate it." I turned to the man at the desk. "And thank you for all of your help, but if the police aren't going to help us, then we'll have to do this on our own." He let out a sigh and closed his eyes.

"You all need to be very, very, careful." His tone became serious. "I'm going to tell you everything I know and think of this case, are you prepared to accept this information?" I nodded instantly. "Even if it's covered with bloodshed?" I nodded again. I couldn't say no, I mean they were already trying to kill me, how much worse could it get? The man looked to all of us before he began. "This murderer. I believe this isn't the first time he's killed. How could someone be so thorough at hiding their evidence if it was there first killing?" I felt sick knowing that the same person who framed my father into killing my mother was most likely the person who killed my grandfather. "Also." He paused for a second collecting his thoughts. "This isn't the first case where there was zero evidence. There's been many, many more." He lowered his voice. "And every single one of those cases, have been dropped by the commissioner." The room fell silent. The commissioner was someone who was almost never seen, has been involved with a ton of murder cases, and has dropped the ones with the same factor of their being no evidence at the scene. That sounded way to suspicious to not investigate. Though I worried for Anzu, she was the one who was going to have to try to meet with him. "Take my card. If you run into trouble feel free to call me." I thanked the man again before bowing and heading to where Joey waited for us.

We went back to Yami's house and explained everything to Joey that he missed after getting kicked out of the station.

"So as of right now, what do we know about this person?" Joey said scratching his head.

"The person who killed my grandfather most likely was the same person who killed my parents. Both times having no evidence that there was another person involved. Also the woman who keeps calling me on the phone is involved somehow, whether they're the culprit or just working with them I have yet to learn. Also Surichiro Mizaki," Anzu tensed at the name. I felt guilty for saying this in front of her. "Is a very suspicious man. Closing all the cases where the murders had no evidence. He's also rarely seen." Duke raised his eyebrow.

"That's a big accusation, if you mean he's the murderer." I sighed leaning back in my chair.

"He might not necessarily be the killer, but maybe he has something to with covering it up. Or maybe I think he's suspicious because I have no idea who it is." Joey crossed his arms on the table.

"Also, why do you think the woman who has been calling you has anything to do with the murderer?" I was hoping I would never to tell anyone about that night, I but owed them the truth considering it's my fault they got absorbed into this mess.

"Back in May, I was walking home when two men jumped me." I inhaled sharply before I continued. I felt Yami curl his fingers in between mine squeezing my hand. "Before they showed up, an unknown number called me and the woman made it very clear she had sent them after me. I was beaten and almost raped. I'm pretty sure they would have killed me afterwards. If Yami hadn't shown up I wouldn't be here." I saw Joey twitch in his chair while the others look horrified.

"You mean the busted lip... The bruised nose... You didn't really jump a fence?" I couldn't help at giggle at Joeys reaction. He just seemed so confused.

"I actually did jump the fence, but was unscathed and used it as my excuse. I'm sorry I never told you guys. It wasn't something I exactly wanted to remember." I could see tears in Joey's eyes as one tear fell down his face.

"You were so good at hiding your feelings. I feel so stupid!" He clenched his jaw. "Some friend I turned out to be."

"Joey, it's also my fault. I've had years to learn how to deceive people, but I promise I won't lie anymore." He sighed putting his arms behind his head leaning back in his chair and closed his eyes.

"Better not." The smile returned to his face. "You've definitely changed Yug'. No more hiding your feelings, okay?"

"I won't." My smile faded as I looked to everyone. "I'm really sorry you are all involved in this. I really wish they were only after me, but I've put your lives in danger. I hope you can forgive me someday." Tristan let out a loud grunt.

"Oh come on Yugi. If the situation was turned around so we were in your shoes, I know you would be there to help us. You didn't ask for the psychopath to do this, so your just going to have to accept that we've already forgiven you and get this case solved!" They all cheered in unison. I am so lucky to have such awesome friends, and to have Yami. For if I never met him, I might still be in my shell suffering alone as the darkness suffocated me. Yami kissed my cheek and then turned to face everyone.

"Also how would you all feel about staying here for awhile? The place is big enough to house everyone here. I don't think anyone should be by themselves anymore. That includes if we're leaving. There is seven of us so we'll split into groups that way we'll never be alone. Joey, Maya and Anzu will be one group. Duke and Tristan you'll be a group and of course me and Yugi."

"That's probably our safest plan until we get this sorted out." Maya said while the others nodded in agreement.

"Luckily I have three keys to the house, so each group will have one. Otherwise the house will be on lockdown. No one gets in or out without us knowing. I have cancelled all the services that were hired including the gardeners and maids. Unfortunately even though the house is grand it does not have an alarm system so we can't take any chances. No one can be trusted at this point. Other than that it's everyone's responsibility to make sure that every window and door is consistently locked."

"This is getting kinda scary isn't it?" Anzu stated looking forwards with a vacant expression.

"Have you been able to reach your father? Maybe we can convince him to tap Yug's phone, while that woman calls again." Anzu blinked a few times before lifting her gaze to Joey. Bits and parts of cracked words came from her mouth before she finally caught her tongue.

"I'll try." Was all she managed to get out. I reached out and grabbed her wrist.

"That's all we're asking for. Don't worry to much, okay?" I gave her a gentle smile and she seemed to become a bit more relaxed.

We continued to talk about what we would do if certain situations were to arise. When it started to get late we headed to bed triple checking that every door and window was secure before going to sleep. Yami laid flat on his back. I rested my head and arm on his chest as I listened to his heartbeat, knowing that I might not hear it for much longer. He ran his hands through my hair in attempts to comfort me. I nuzzled my face into his neck.

"Yami?" He turned his jaw resting it on my head.

"Hmm?"

"Are you scared?" I lifted up so that I could see his face. His eyes met mine.

"Yes" he sighed, "but we have such great support. We don't have to fight all by ourselves." He half smiled then kissed my forehead. I laid back down on him listening to him breathing. Yami never slept with a shirt on and I quite enjoyed watching his chest rise and fall as he slept. That being said, he also radiated a ton of body heat. After a while of failed attempts to fall asleep, I decided to take off my own shirt which helped a little. I tried to slither away from Yami's intense heat but he would grumble under his breath and pull me back into him. I tried to kick the blankets off of us, but he would just pull them back. This was torture. I didn't do well in the heat. I also burned in the sun after five minutes. I couldn't wait for winter and the summer had just begun. When I felt his grip loosen on me I quickly dashed out of the bed. I walked to the window and opened it to let some air in. I leaned out the window taking a deep breath before going into the bathroom to splash cold water on my face. When I opened the door to the bedroom I saw the bed was empty.

"Ya-" An arm grabbed my waist from behind while a hand covered my mouth.

"Shh. Someone opened the window." I grabbed his hand trying to get him to release my mouth so I could speak. He looked down realizing I was trying to talk and let me go.

"I opened the damn window! Like thirty seconds ago!" He stared at me for a second before laughing.

"Oh sorry. I just saw the window open and you were missing so I panicked." He sighed in relief. "Why did you open the window anyway? We're supposed to be on lockdown." I rolled my eyes.

"It's way to hot in here. I couldn't sleep, and unless there's a sniper in the bushes I think I'll be fine." His smile semi faded.

"You never know." Then a smug look crossed his face. "It's not that hot in here."

"It's not so much the temperature inside, as it is you." Now he looked confused. I frowned. "Your to hot. Your body is just too hot." He stood for a few seconds before bursting into laughter trying to contain it with his hands. I felt my face burning.

"Thank you." He said raising an eyebrow and spoke in the most conceded tone possible. I ran flopping onto the bed shoving my face into the pillow. I heard him rustling around in the closet and then beside the bed. Suddenly there was a cool breeze blowing onto my back and I jerked onto my side to see a fan pointed at the bed. Yami shut the window then laid down beside me and I jumped on top of him kissing him.

"I love you! Mou Hitori No Boku!" I giggled.

"I love you too, Aibou."

Now we were both wide awake so I kissed him while the fan cooled our heated bodies. His hands were against my hips, mine pressed into his shoulders. The kiss was gentle for a mere few seconds before I couldn't take it. 'How is it possible to be this addicted to someone?' I pressed our bodies closer together not letting any space exist. I pushed my tongue through his teeth, furiously moving my head from side to side. His hands left my hips and made their way up my back pressing his fingers into my skin as he moved. I let my tongue slide underneath his, stroking it, earning the most wonderful moan I've ever heard out of him. I stopped for a split second enjoying the sensitive spot I had found and continued to tease it. He moaned a few more times as I tortured the spot before it changed into a low growl from deep in his throat and was tossed off of him to the side of the bed. I leaned up but was quickly pinned, my wrists being held to the bed. I felt Yami's hot breath at my ear making me shiver.

"You're being especially naughty tonight." I felt him lick the length of my ear from top to bottom then bite hard on the lobe. I let out a painful gasp, but he gently licked and sucked on it to ease the pain. "I think I need to teach you a lesson." I felt my face turn scarlet and my eyes grow wide as he leaned back licking his lips, dragging his eyes up and down my body. He kissed down my neck while running his tongue along it. I went to say sorry but was cut off by him biting my neck gaining a small shriek from my mouth. "For every word you speak. It'll be one bite."

"But!" He bit into my shoulder this time and I gritted my teeth refusing to make any noise. I submitted myself to him as his mouth slowly made its way down onto my chest. I stayed as silent as possible until I felt his lips graze my nipple. I quivered as his touch squeezing my eyes shut. All of my efforts became in vain as his tongue slowly started to draw circles around my sensitive bud. I let out a sharp gasp. "Ya-" I bit my bottom lip trying to silence myself, but to no avail. I felt his teeth grip onto my delicate flesh. My back arched forcing my chest further into his mouth as my head flew back letting the ecstasy take me over. I let out a groan mixed with pleasure and pain as he released one of my arms to play with the bud on the other side of my chest before licking it. My body relaxed as I panted beneath him. The air from the fan once heavenly was now teasing my abused wet skin making me shudder. Yami laid on top of me smothering me with his heat.

"Your really quite sensitive aren't you?" He chuckled nuzzling into my neck. I didn't speak incase he still wanted to bite me. I was not giving him another chance. He stoked my cheek and began humming. I drifted into the dark listening to the sweet sound of his voice.
