Shinobu: "I'm not crying... I have to... go after..."

Y/N: "Come here, it's okay. It's okay to cry..."

Hugging the younger Kocho, you didn't know what to do anymore, and for the first time in your life, you were lost. That day was the day everything went horribly wrong. Revenge wasn't a good thing, but that was the only thing in your mind right now, as well as Shinobu's after holding the lifeless body of her sister.

But you liked to think about the days before that ever happened. The days where there was only an innocent relationship between the three of you, and that was all that mattered...

A Couple Of Months Ago

Y/N: "Come on, you have to wake up..."

"I won't let you go just yet."

Y/N: "You're a person with lots of responsibilities now, Flower Pillar."

"Are you jealous you didn't become one of the pillars, Y/N? You can always try to become my successor, if it makes you feel better."

Y/N: "As if! I'm confident I'm strong enough to take on five pillars at once!"

"You couldn't even take me on last night~"

Kanae giggles while a slight blush creeped on your face. Cuddling with you, Kanae enjoyed how warm your body was and decided to stay there for a bit longer despite your clear demands for her to leave for a meeting she had in the morning.

Kanae: "I just want to spend some more time with you, if you'll allow me."

Y/N: "I'll give you five more minutes."

Kanae: "You're so easy to persuade~"

Y/N: "Now it's three."

Kanae: "Shame."

A girl only a bit younger than Kanae quickly barged into the room, so when you turned to look at her, she sighed. Seeing her clear expression of hatred towards you was enough to make you chuckle.

Shinobu: "Why aren't you awake?! And why are you here?!"

Shinobu pointed at you, so you waved at the girl, whose morning anger clearly showed through her facial expression. She was like that most of the time when you were around, and especially when you were being all lovey dovey with her sister, but she'll have to get used to it at some point, but it didn't seem like today was "some point".

Shinobu: "Don't wave at me!"

Y/N: "I'm just being polite."

Kanae: "Let's all take a deep breath now..."

Kanae brought you closer with a hug while Shinobu watched on the side, irritated that they weren't paying attention to her.

Shinobu: "I thought you had someplace to be."

Kanae: "You might be right on that, so I guess I'll be leaving now. I'll be back in an hour or so."

Kanae got off the bed and quickly changed into her uniform, then before she left the room, she kissed your cheek.

Y/N: "Isn't she great?"

Your mere existence was something Shinobu couldn't even endure. The fact that you were breathing the same air as her ticked her off for many reasons, so she decided to deal with it. Shinobu walked to the other side of the bed to grab one of the soft pillows.

Y/N: "What?"

She aimed and then threw that pillow, getting you right on the face.

Y/N: "Hey! Is that how you wanna fight then?"

Shinobu: "You're right on that!"

An intense and violent pillow fight ensued, but it was clear from the start who was going to win...

Later

You and Shinobu stood next to each other outside of the butterfly residence, and you tried your best to keep yourself from laughing after winning the pillow fight from earlier. Shinobu was just pouting, extremely angry at something as simple as a smirk coming from that annoying face of yours that she had to look at almost every day.

When you noticed Kanae walking towards the house, you waved. She noticed you two were waiting for her, and because of Shinobu's facial expression, she sensed something was up, so Kanae suddenly disappeared.

Shinobu: "Wha—?"

Kanae: "You two haven't been fighting while I've been gone, right?"

She quickly appeared right behind you, holding your shoulder and her sister's, expecting a good answer. Because otherwise...

Y/N: "N-No ma'am!"

Shinobu: "Not at all!"

Kanae: "I'm glad. Now, Y/N, are you ready?"

Y/N: "More than."

Shinobu: "Where are you going?"

Y/N: "A date."

Shinobu: "A date?"

Just seeing how happy her sister was just because she was able to go out with the person she really loved made her feel a bit cheery, so just for today, she decided not to do anything to interrupt.

Shinobu: "Have fun!"

You and Kanae left , holding hands whilst Shinobu walked back in the house, sighing and thinking about maybe getting a special someone in her life that made her feel happy.

Kanae: "So, are you up for it? Someday becoming my successor?"

As you and Kanae slowly walked together, you thought about your life and how much it would change if you suddenly became the Flower Pillar's successor, and how rigorous and extremely painful ber training would be.

Y/N: "I have to think about it, maybe it's just too much for me."

Kanae: "I'm sure you'll do just fine when the time comes..."

Y/N: "But for now, we can just be with each other for as long as we want."

Facing your girlfriend, you cupped her chin and looked at her beautiful pale violet eyes. This moment was one that you wanted to last forever, because it was a moment of love and honesty, and the way it was all sealed with a kiss felt magical.

A profound and passionate kiss that showed how you were a better kisser than you were a fighter, and one of the qualities Kanae very much appreciated.

When you stopped for a couple of seconds, and her eyes slightly opened to see you, Kanae smiled at the sight of seeing you smile, which reminded her how fortunate she was to have you in her life.

Kanae: "Your actions are bold, but your red cheeks are adorable~"

You touched your cheeks and felt their warmth, getting even more embarrassed once you realized you were blushing.

Y/N: "I'm not embarrassed."

Kanae: "If you think so."

Now it was her turn to take the initiative and kiss you.

These were the moments you cherished the most, and knowing that you would no longer feel something like that was the most painful thing in the world, but you knew that Kanae would not want you to feel sad, so you always did your best to cheer yourself up, as well as her sister.

Y/N: "Hey Shinobu?"

Present

Shinobu: "Yes, Y/N?"

Y/N: "Today is..."

Shinobu: "I am aware. Come on."

You and Shinobu walked together, with a respectable silence that felt necessary for today, to visit the grave of her sister. Now you two were closer than ever before, like siblings.

Kanae would be happy.
