Not quite back from my writing/oneshot break, just felt inspired today since I recently unlocked this character a couple of minutes ago and wanted to do something for her. Love her design, it's pretty fresh πŸ‘Œ

P.S.: I was thinking really hard whether to make this oneshot +18 or not, but I did make one just in case and its just vibing in the drafts. It'll see the light of day some other time.

"Oh look, look!"

Alerted by the excited girl, you looked over to your right and saw a huge pack of wild boars just walking around and minding their business.

Y/N: "You know, that is a lot of boars and I don't thinkβ€”"

"Come on, please! Just this once."

Being the traveller in this world, the same one that 'defeated' the almighty Stormterror and 'saved' Mondstadt, was actually an enjoyable experience. But due to your history and knowledge in fighting and dealing with creatures both strong and weak, there was always one girl that sought you out and, whenever she locked eyes with you, would tackle you to the ground and hug you so tightly, you would often lose your breath whenever it happened.

She could convince you so easily to help her with her ingredient hunt, it made you seem like a joke. Even Paimon, the small, floating piece of food that was constantly there with you and followed you wherever you went, realized how much of a sucker you were for the extraordinary chef Xiangling.

You met the girl a couple of months ago while adventuring around and, by now, you had gotten used to her shenanigans and was perfectly fine with helping her, but right now...

Y/N: "Are you sureβ€”?"

Xiangling: "Pretty please! Help me with this and I'll make the best dish I've ever prepared, and just for you!"

Y/N: "Alright, if you say so."

Pulling out your sword and taking a deep breath, you slowly advanced forward.

You perfectly knew you could deal with the sounder of boar, so it wasn't the fact that they were boars, it was the fact that there were so many in one place that made you wonder whether they would run away or charge at you and stomp you until you were a pancake.

You turned back for a second and saw Xiangling and the floating Paimon both cheering you on. With newfound confidence, you ran towards the herd and, launching your sword, managed to stab a boar and saw how it flopped to the ground.

The rest looked at you, and they didn't seem happy.

Y/N: "Yeah, I knew it."

Turning around, you ran as fast as you could while the wild animals were right behind you.

Y/N: "Come on!"

While Xiangling followed you and started running just as fast as you were, all Paimon had to do was float a bit higher in order to avoid the rampaging boars.

Then, she thought of something fun.

She let herself fall on top of one of the animals, and holding onto it, she began riding it.

Paimon: "Revolution!"

Y/N: "Seriously!?"

You and Xiangling kept running and running, up until you were near a forest and decided to hide in there. Suddenly, you grabbed the girl's hand and pulled her to guide her towards said forest whilst the boars kept following you at full speed.

You hid amongst all the trees and pushed Xiangling against one of the trees and watched as the extreme amount of boars kept running to some other place still angry and, with them, a happy Paimon. You heaved a sigh of relief, then kept watch just to make sure those boars weren't around.

What Xiangling was looking at was something else entirely. She held onto your soft hands, these same hands which were holding her hips, and seemed flustered at how relatively close you were to her. Her breathing was heavy and her heart was beating at an alarming rate, possibly due to the amount of running she just did, or because of the way you were holding her. Either way, it was a pretty 'interesting' situation.

It wasn't until she made a weird noise that your attention was brought back to the blushing mess that was Xiangling.

Xiangling: "Will you let go...?"

Y/N: "I... yeah, sorry."

Your hands parted from her body and you nervously laughed.

Y/N: "So... Paimon left, so I guess we'll have to wait until she gets back."

Xiangling: "Yep..."

You realized how awkward you had made the situation, and you would have preferred being stomped by the infuriated boars than to be here right now. You've never been in a situation like this before, so you weren't exactly sure as to how to deal with it.

Xiangling herself was also insecure, since most of her life had been spent around food and the kitchen, so there was never any time when she thought about things like these, nor was she concerned by them.

Y/N: "Is it okay if... I talk to the panda?"

Xiangling: "T-The panda? Oh, you mean Guoba? Sure."

Xiangling placed her hands together and, as if from a completely different dimension, Guoba the small panda appeared. Guoba was very much like Paimon, except that the panda didn't talk, so Guoba was a lot less annoying than the flying nuisance that follows you everywhere.

Y/N: "Hey Guoba?"

You kneeled down as the panda approached you, almost looking like a penguin in the way he walked. Whispering something into his tiny, round ears, Xiangling was confused as to why you would whisper to Guoba, almost as if it was something she could not hearz

Then, Guoba whispered back into your ear, and once more, Xiangling was confused because you probably wouldn't be able to understand the creature. After an insightful and intellectual conversation, you two bumped fists and you took a deep breath, standing up and feeling ready.

Xiangling: "What did you two say to each other?"

Y/N: "A lot. Can we sit down? There's something we gotta talk about."

Xiangling: "Sure."

As you two sat down under the shade of a tree, Guoba observed from a distance, hoping that you would end up victorious after everything you told him. There was a cool breeze, yet you felt your face warm up every second, and eventually, you decided to finally speak up.

Y/N: "You wanna... how do I say this?"

While you were thinking of a way better to structure your sentence without making it sound weird or creepy, Xiangling gripped your shoulders and looked nervous. Like, really nervous.

Xiangling: "Don't say anything! I'll do it."

She moved forward and tried kissing you, but due to how sudden her movement was, she ended up knocking heads with you. It hurt, but you preferred that to actually just saying what you were about to say.

Xiangling: "Let me try again!"

Now that you were on the ground, she pinned you down and finally made her move, planting a kiss on your lips and, feeling relieved to finally be able to do so, Xiangling stopped and stood up.

Xiangling: "I did it! Oh, that was great."

Y/N: "Uh huh..."

You rubbed your nose, which was the area of your face that had received the most damage from the chef's headbutt.

Xiangling: "Everything's okay now, right?"

Y/N: "Well, that kiss wasn't as good as I thought it would be. It was... spicy."

Xiangling: "That's a weird way of describing it, but I agree."

It was your turn to stand up, and when you were face to face with Xiangling again, you decided to go for it, this time with a lot less pain.

Placing your hands on her hips, you kissed her. Xiangling felt like she was dreaming, and Guoba seemed happy that this whole thing was finally official. The small panda had to admit that he wanted Xiangling to find someone special for a while now, and when you showed up, Guoba had taken small steps to ensure that you two would end up together.

But now, there still was one thing left.

"Hey, what's going on here!? You didn't come looking for Paimon!"

Your moment with Xiangling was ruined by Paimon, who had returned from her boar ride, and she seemed angry.

Y/N: "Hi."

Paimon: "Wait, are you cheating on Paimon with her!?"

The surprising statement got a chuckle out of you, and it eventually got to Xiangling too because she started laughing as well.

Y/N: "Oh, don't worry. You're still my little fish."

You grabbed the floating Paimon and hugged her. Xiangling called Guoba and there was now a rather adorable group hug between everyone.

Paimon: "Aww, thankβ€”wait, why is Paimon a fish now!?"
