This show would be so much better if the MC was someone else. Negativity aside, girls are all 10/10.

When she finally understood what you were referring to, she was shocked. And your honest smile was all it took for the girl's heart to beat faster than she thought possible...

Earlier

Round, red-tinted glasses, a white cane in hand, and wearing clothes that didn't match at all, you walked around, taking in the fresh air of the city. You couldn't exactly see how the city looked, but you could definitely feel, smell, hear, and taste it better than most.

You didn't literally licked the floor, but you knew what you meant. You chuckled at your own thoughts as you continued walking, eventually coming across the entrance to a subway station since you could hear footsteps going downwards so it would make the most sense that what was in front of you was just that.

You decided to walk down with the people as well, taking the train and just waiting to see what will happen. You took a seat, looking up at an angle as you took a deep breath and listened. To how the people were breathing, to how some of them were anxiously bouncing their leg, and to how most of them tapped away on their phones.

It was entertaining to think about what their lives are like, making up little stories in your head as you went along with your own.

But one of them was odd. You could also hear people's heartbeats, so when you heard one that was beating slower than the rest, your head turned a bit to the right since that's where this person sat, on your right.

You adjusted your glasses, smelling a very faint scent of one of those cheap perfumes that always ended up smelling like they were expensive. You could hear the girl not tapping her phone like everyone else, almost as if she wasn't using it but you could feel her hand holding it tightly. You turned to your right to talk to the girl.

"Are you okay?"

She comes back to reality, looking at you and checking out your cane and glasses. She noticed you were blind and didn't know if you were talking to her.

"M-Me?"

Y/N: "Yeah, are you okay?"

She puts her phone away, maybe thinking that this was the right time to talk to someone.

"Umm... yeah. I'm fine."

But why would she talk to a complete stranger about her problems? Was she that desperate?

Y/N: "Well, that's good. Not many people are nowadays."

The girl's heartbeat slowed down again. She wasn't too worried about a blind man and about what you could do for her or to her. You weren't the answer to her problem so she wasn't really excited. You spoke up again.

Y/N: "Maybe you are one of those people. How old are you?"

"Wait a minute, you aren't one of those perverted old men that harass young girls, right?"

You chuckle.

Y/N: "I look older than my age because... well, let's just say life's been treating me like shit lately, so there's that. I fought a crocodile before, by the way."

The girl was more weirded out by you than anything, but you noticed her heart started to beat faster, but it wasn't a significant change.

Y/N: "Sorry, that was weird. Anyways, back to you. I can tell your hand is trembling."

She smacked her hand down, holding it against her thigh.

"It isn't! Are you even blind?"

Y/N: "I see better than most. What's your name?"

"My name is... Rika."

Y/N: "Rika. Nice name. I'm Y/N, and as you can see, I can't see."

You smiled, nodding your head instead of a handshake since you didn't exactly know where this Rika girl was, but you did know she was lying. Her heartbeat was a lot faster now. You chuckled.

Y/N: "Your name isn't Rika, is it?"

"I-It is!"

Y/N: "Well, I can tell when someone's lying."

The girl whose name wasn't Rika started getting nervous, so she stood up.

"You're weird."

Y/N: "Not the first time I've gotten that comment. Trust me, I'm not a stalker or anything."

The girl had a strange sensation that somehow, she could trust you. So she sat back down, but she was keeping her distance from you. Gently tapping your chest, you were quiet for a second before you spoke.

Y/N: "You... You're different, right?"

When she finally understood what you were referring to, she was shocked. And your honest smile was all it took for the girl's heart to beat faster than she thought possible...

"W-Who are you?"

Y/N: "Like I said, I'm just Y/N."

Coincidentally, the train stops, and the automatic doors open on their own like they always do so you stand up. You offer your hand to the girl, and she looks at it for a while before she holds it.

"I'm Ruka."

Y/N: "There you go. Lead the way, Ruka."

Your arm wraps around hers, and that's when you were noticing her heartbeat was faster than what it usually is, so you smiled. Ruka was blushing now, the thing that she was feeling was the one she had been looking for. And she finally found it. She found you.

Ruka smiles too.

Ruka: "Nice to meet you!"

Bonus Scene - Some Months Later

Y/N: ""Ruka, this would be a whole lot better if you told me where we're going."

Ruka: "Don't worry, you can trust me!"

After a bunch of walking around, you had a pretty good idea as to where Ruka was taking you. Especially because you went from stepping on solid ground, to going in an elevator, then a carpet. When you heard clicking and the opening of a door, Ruka led you into a room and finally helped you sit down on some sort of bed.

You took off your glasses, placing them on the bed and waiting for Ruka.

Y/N: "What are we doing... here? What is it, a hotel?"

Your head moved slightly, trying to figure out what was going on and why Ruka's heart was beating faster than how it usually is.

Ruka: "I-I guess you could say that..."

Y/N: "Oh so it's like that..."

You smiled, carefully standing up before dropping your cane on the floor and walking to Ruka by listening to her heart, then you held her arms.

Y/N: "This is interesting..."

Ruka gets really close to you then, because of how tall you are compared to her, she jumps up to...
