When the Monday expected chapter happens on Sunday night! haha

Enjoy!

Suvarna's POV.

I glanced at my watch impatiently. I am late thanks to the almost stagnant traffic jam at the last crossing.

His plane has already landed few minutes back and he will be coming out any minute now!

Luckily I managed to park my car without much trouble and ran inside. I can hardly wait to see him. It's been just three days since I returned home to Delhi and I am already missing him and London like crazy.

My breath hitched when I caught sight of him. In dark jeans and navyblue polo neck sweater he literarily took my breath away!

I stood there drinking in the sight of him unobstructed. He is not expecting me and has not yet seen me yet. Smiling to myself I continued to look at him as he pushed his trolly.

A head taller than most people around he was impossible to miss and too dashing to be ignored!

Suvi stop drooling at your man! I raised my arm intending to wave at him. I smiled thinking what his expression would be when he would see me here!

Two men pointing in his direction caught my attention and my hand froze halfway up.

I hid when I saw the two men approaching him. I perhaps should not have come to the airport to pick him up.

I should have known his clients would be here to receive him.

No wonder I did not see any of his family members here to receive him. Paresh has been so busy checking on the details of the upcoming case that we have hardly  spoken in the past couple of days.

In my excitement to surprise Shishir I had not even told anyone I was coming here, lest someone mentioned it to him by mistake.

Wearily I trudged towards my car and opened the door and sat behind the steering wheel.

Silly Suvi.

I sighed wearily and reached for the keys in my purse.

At the sound of the passenger door opening my head snapped in the direction and I gasped as Shishir got in and grinned at me.

He is here!

My heart thudding I just gazed at him "Shishir! Those men! Your-"

"Shh" he said tenderly laying a finger on my lips "I will not cheat on my profession but my priority is and always will be –you."

He opened his arms and I happily leaned into a warm hug.

"How did you know I have come here?" I asked laying my cheek on his chest.

"I saw you. I did not want to interrupt your 'ogling me' session so did not directly look your way- owww" he broke off when I hit his hand playfully.

My face must be flaming red right now. "I was not ogling you. I was trying to look for you in the crowd." I mumbled burying my nose around his neck.

I felt his chest vibrate and knew he was laughing at me.

The mean man!

Pulling away I tried to unsuccessfully untangle myself from his arms.

"Um Suvi let's avoid driving through the vegetable market." He said his eyes roaming my face.

"Why?" I asked confused. "You know if we take the one at the bend it will be a short cut."

"I don't want to take chances love. I hear tomatoes are pretty expensive these days and your face- ouch!" he half yelped and half laughed "You bit me?" he feigned shock as he rubbed his wrist.

How dare he compare my face to that of a tomato? I jerked out of his arms and turned the ignition keys.

"You are an absolute jerk."

"Aww- love you too sweetheart."

I turned my face away in time so that he would not see the treacherous smile tugging at my lips. It is so difficult to even pretend to be angry with this man.

"Where is your luggage?" I asked suddenly realising he was carrying just a hand bag.

"I sent it off with the men who came to receive me." I did not miss the jerk of pulse near his forehead and knew he was thinking about the case.

"Will your family members know them when they reach your house with your luggage?" I asked carefully trying to evade that topic- for now.

He did not respond immediately "I am not staying at home. They are not aware of my trip."

My heart ached at these words. He did not want family confrontation on this. It would just make things messier for me and he knew this.

For years everyone has been asking me to let go of my dream to reopen my father's hotel but I have not given up.

"Stop the car. You are driving it the wrong way!"

Huh?

"I am not!" then I realised what he might be saying "Oh! I don't know where you are staying."

I slowed the car and brought it to a stop and frowned when he got down and came over to my side and opened the door.

"Scoot." He said and pushed me even before I could fully move.

"You could have just told me. I would have driven in that direction." I protested.

"Shh. I am driving. Don't distract me."

I clamped my lips and turned my face away from him .

Hmmph.

Where is he driving to? We are entering a busy market place. Infact this is quite close to-

Oh.my.God!

"Shishir!" I gasped happily and he grinned at me looking at me for a split second before focusing back on the busy congested road.

He parked the car and smirked at me "Golgappa?"

I nodded happily. My mind immediately went back to the time just a few months back when we had last visited Uncle Krishna's shop.

So much had happened between then and now. That time we had been toeing at our friendship after a separation of ten long years and now we are engaged to be married.

Locking the car we moved towards the shop- hand in hand.

"Shamboo baba!" Uncle exclaimed immediately and I heard Shishir groan softly.

I giggled and he slanted me a glare which made me giggle harder. Uncle' s name for him never failed to amuse me.

Uncle beamed at me and I smiled at him happily. Shishir brought us here for Golgappa!

"Uncle my name is Shishir Shi-shir See it is easy- Shi-shir" Shishir tried as always and Uncle once again brushed his efforts aside.

Five minutes later we were tucking in at the delicious delights. Me with a grin on my face and Shishir with a scowl, which just made me grin harder.

After quiet a few plates of the mouth watreing treats I raised my hand to say I had enough "What about you- Shamboo?" I asked him trying to look innocent and fought to keep a straight face.

"Be quite woman." He hissed and I laughed openly. This was always am added pleasure to the amazing Golgappas.

Shishir paid uncle and we moved away. As I started walking to where the car was parked he stopped me and steered me to the other direction.

As he put his arms around my shoulder I felt my heart dance in joy. This was just like our childhood days when we would roam about aimlessly looking through the shop windows.

Actually I would be the one wanting to window shop and my sweet Shishir would grudgingly tug along complaining why I could not just walk in and buy if I wanted something.

Men never really understand the joy of window shopping!

"Want to have ice cream?" Shishir asked and I shook my head.

I stroked my tummy and smiled "No scope. Not in my current state." I had eaten a bit too many of the golgappas!

"Are you sure?" he asked and I nodded tucking my hand into his as I gazed at the window in front not really paying attention to what was on display.

"Is this your first time?" A strange feminine voice caught my attention and I realised she was talking to me.

"What?" I asked frowning in confusion.

"Your first child?"

Child?

Then my eyes fell on the display window. Baby products!

She must have seen me rub my tummy and assumed- Oh Lord!

"No! I-"

"Yes our first time." Shishir cut me off slanting me a wicked grin and my jaw stayed open for a second in shock.

"No! Of course-"

"It is okay honey. Calm down. Don't stress yourself." Shishir said his tone soothing as he stroked my back, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

He is amused the wicked devil!

"First time is always the most difficult one. We tend to get so nervous." The woman, probably in her middle age gave me a sympathetic look.

"Yes. And we are expecting twins so my wife is quite petrified.

A squeak escaped me and the woman patted my shoulder. "Take care dear. Your husband loves you a lot. I am sure everything will be fine." She shot Shishir a warm smile and walked away.

"Come honey let's take you home." Shishir said rather loudly, obviously aiming it to reach the retreating woman's ears.

I elbowed him sharply and huffed ahead,

"Ah the tomatoes are on display again" He quipped peering at my flushed face.

Shishir's POV.

"You are incorrigible!"

"Lucky you!"

"Had you not been so much bigger than me I would have flung you hard on the ground."

"Lucky me!"

"Shishir!"

"Suvi!"

"Hmmph."

"Ditto."

It felt so good to have this senseless banter with her after so long.

The future was not something I wanted to think about right now. Fate had put us in a situation that I would have never in my wildest imaginations thought possible.

But our bond was not dependent on materialistic stuffs. Our relationship has endured tough times before, this will also pass.

Her trust in me is something I cherish and I will never let that dwindle.

I caught her hand and pulled her towards the car.

"Nirulas?" I asked grinning as I started the car.

"Yes. You can buy me chocolate ice cream to apologise and choke on vanilla yourself." She fumed and I chuckled.

"Why must I apologise? I was just having an conversation from our future."

"You just stop talking."

"I know. Talking will not get us there. You know to have twins."

"Why not triplets!" she snapped and I laughed.

"Even better."

***

Two hours and lots of ice creams later I pulled her along with me into the lobby of my hotel.

"There they are, the love birds." I heard and turned and my eyes widened in surprise. My elder cousin, Vikas bhaiya man hugged.

"Did you think you would come here and we will not know." he mock frowned at me.

"And what nonsense is this? Why are you staying at the hotel?" Varsha bhabhi asked me her arms still around Suvi.

"Let's get your luggage and get you home." Vikas bhaiya said and I started to protest.

"You will shut up young man." .He warned and marched ahead towards the lift.

I sighed and walked towards the reception counter to collect the keys to my room. No point in discussing this in the lobby.

We can talk up in my room.

"Oh my God Suvarna. It's gorgeous." I heard mt sister in law gush and turned to see she was admiring Suvi's ring.

She turned towards her husband. "While you try to knock some sense into Shishir we will gossip about my baby." Varsha bhabhi said stroking her tummy and Vikram bhaiya grinned at his wife adoringly.

I had an identical grin on my face as this reminded me of our insane situation few hours back. I looked at my gorgeous fiancé and sure enough- her face was flushed again.

'Tomato' I mouthed silently to her and smiled when I saw her bite her lips in an attempt to stop herself from smiling.

Pre cap Chapter 98.

Shishir's POV.

I sucked in my breath as the bottle rotated by Prema stopped pointing at Suvi.

"Yay! It's your turn Suvarna." Varsha bhabhi clapped her hand in glee.

"Suvarna di- truth or dare?" Prema grinned.

"Dare of course!" Paresh chortled and Suvi snatched his plate of sandwich from his hand glaring at him and he jumped after it trying to take it back.

"Suvarna opt for dare! You don't know how wicked my wife is. She will ask you for the naughtiest of truths." Vikas bhaiya said winking at me and I laughed softly.

Enjoy guys!
