This one is slightly longer chapter guys . Hope you are happy. :)

And my fellow writers if you have not yet entered the Wattys 2017 do it right away. Less than a week remaining!

Shishir's POV.

"Shishir!" Suvi sounded impatient as she stepped out of the study after me. I stopped to give her an irritated look.

"Suvi we can talk later. Within a few hours the officers will have enough on them and will break into the gangsters hide out."

"What about this thing inside me?" she asked coming to stand close to me looking sad. I felt bad for having snapped at her. She is going through so much and is still holding strong.

"I will not let anything happen to you Suvi. It will be out of you very soon, as soon as these criminals are behind bar." I said cupping her face between my hands.

Her eyes swam with the inner emotions reflecting through them. "What makes it so complicated that it could not be taken out even after so many days?" she looked at me willing me with her eyes to tell the truth.

I looked down not able to look at her and meet her eyes. She was living in danger and I was helpless to take the danger away from her right away.

"Shishir?" Her voice coaxed me to look up and meet her eyes. "It's not your fault whatever it is. You have been trying so hard to do everything to keep me safe, to make me happy. But the world does .not always allow us to do or get what we work hard towards or what we deserve." She placed her face on my chest and wrapped her arms around my waist.

"I should have been more careful" I said pulling her closer.

"Shishir you have to stop blaming yourself every time something happens to me." she said pulling her face away "I need to know what risk I am living with, and you have to tell me. It is not fair you take all the burden on yourself."

I sighed knowing she will not rest easy and will continue to worry. I know her well and I know she will only worry more unless she knows the details.

"The flashes of light outside your room reflected RIP. The tiny needle that had been attached to-" I had to gulp down the dread within me before continuing "- the ice bullet aimed at you also had ricin poison. I will not go into too much details but the symbol of this natural based poison is RIP" Sumo nodded impatiently since she already knew all this.

"When they saw the tracker on your back through the X ray machine they saw along with it are some granules - salt like crystals. Minute and very few in number- but most definitely there." I continued feeling my palms begin to sweat.

"Suvi- Ricin or RIP is salt grain like in nature and harmful in intake or fumes but most dangerous if injected or mixed with our internal system."

Her eyes widened as she realised "So they doubt that they might have put RIP along the tracker in me?" she whispered and I nodded.

Feeling helpless is the most hateful of all feelings, and it was making me go crazy.

"But you said they are very few grains?" Suvi asked hope shining in her eyes and I had to stop my hands from forming into a tight fist.

"That is all it takes - just a few grains to be effectively fatal, especially since removing the tracker would most definitely involve a cut and then the grains would mix with your blood." I stopped talking not able to go on.

The people behind this had done this intentionally. So that even if the tracker was discovered we would not be able to remove it from Suvi without risking her life..

Suvi must have felt my despair. She looked into my face "I trust you Shishir. I know you will do your best to- to sort this." She said softly and I gathered her close and kissed her head.

"There is someone who knows how to reduce the risks and the effects of poison." I told her, not telling the person was my mother.

We had figured out the poison involved almost immediately and the forensic test on the pin had confirmed it. But we had been trying to find the expert who would be able to help us accurately and with my mother stepping in that was also done.

I am relieved and beyond grateful but still cannot forgive her for deserting me all those years ago.

"Suvi. I need to leave soon. Once I am back I will sort all this and then I promise you, you will be safe." I said kissing her forehead.

"Where are you going?" she asked softly.

"The police are going to close in on the hideout soon- I told you that. We will just be around to watch from far." I said not wanting to share all the details of the plan I had worked out with the police in the past few days."

"I want to come with you." Suvi said and I frowned at her.

"No! This could be dangerous and I cannot put you into more risk than you already are in."

"If it is dangerous then why are you going? You will not be part of action. It will be the cops right?" she challenged and I shook my head.

"No." I said firmly.

She gave me a long look "Okay fine." I will wait for you here." She said and pulled away and gave me a smile.

I looked at her suspiciously. Suvi is giving in so easily?

She opened her mouth in a huge yawn, her hands covering her mouth "God I feel so tired." She said smiling at me.

"Really?" I asked for some reasons not convinced by her actions.

"Shishir! I almost got kidnapped just some time back" she protested her eyes widening. I clenched my teeth at the memory. Maybe she is really tired.

But somehow I feel she is upto something. Perhaps I am imagining too much..

"Where is Paresh?" she asked smiling at me sweetly.

"Why are you looking for him?" I narrowed my eyes at her.

"Shishir, poor guy he also almost got kidnaped." Suvi said making me snort.

"You think he was in any risk? When we were chalking the plan of action it was already decided that we would surround Poppa and then allow him to get away so that he would also be with his accomplices when the police break in their hideout." I said twisting my lips. "that time we had no idea you would be at risk."

"You had wanted him to escape?" Suvi asked in surprise trying to understand.

"Yes and Paresh thought it would be a good idea to have that gun pointed on his head with strawberry syrup for fake blood." I said shaking my head. "I don't know how and when he talked to an convinced Ben to agree."

"Ben?" Suvi asked sharply and I groaned inwardly.

Shit.

"Shishir?" she persisted.

"Hmm?" I muttered trying to dodge.

"You said Ben. You mean your old friend? Your previous landlord? How is he involved?"

Oh crap.

"What are you talking about Suvi?" I said pulling out my phone and pretended to check it. It was difficult for me to lie to her.

"Oh god! That man who dragged Paresh and helped Poppa escape is Ben isn't he?" Suvi said I wanted to kick myself for this slipup.

Years ago he had got involved with some wrong doers and my family had helped him come out of the mess. It had been this gratitude that had made him do what my father had asked him years ago and hide Suvi's letters and parcels from me.

Now with some manipulations and planning he had convinced the men he wanted to be back with them and we had planted him in while he was in reality working for us.

"Suvi you have a weird imagination." I told her dodging the fact that she had guessed it correctly.

She gave me a long look like she was not convinced but let it go. After all no one could guess ever that Ben was involved.

She suddenly frowned "You know that man, Poppa, he seems to be very familiar."

I jerked my head in her direction "You found him familiar? I think I have heard his voice somewhere." I said wondering who could it be?

"Paresh uncle!" Suvi said suddenly and I looked at her in surprise.

"What the hell?" I heard Paresh's indignant voice as he came near us right then "Suvi granny. Sumo great granny-" he started ranting and Suvi slapped his hand.

"Shut up silly. I was not talking to you. I just remembered who the man is!"

"Paresh Uncle??" I repeated still not understanding.

"I am not uncle to you both!" Paresh interjected not sounding happy at all.

"No silly. You remember the man servant Mr. Paresh-"

"Now I am also a servant to you?" Paredh hollered.

"Will you shut up and let me speak?" Suvi  shot back. "Shishir years ago, we had someone work for us for a short time. I think Poppa was him, in disguise and probably a false name."

"Oh yes. I remember that funny chap. He never responded when called and he had the same name as me!" Paresh said, finally understanding.

"I do not remember anyone by that name work for your family Suvi." I said trying to think back.

"I think it was after you had left for London." Suvi said and it clicked something in place.

"Suvi! You remember that phone call I told you I had made to your house few weeks after reaching London? It was the same voice."

"He was the one who lied to you that I had gone for a picnic with my family?" Suvi mused out aloud realising what had happened years ago.

It had happened years ago and had been just a short phone call. But I had been shattered completely after the call and would never forget the gruff voice over the phone.

Suvi placed a hand on my chest trying to calm my nerves. I looked at her and tried not to get furious at the memory.

She moved away after a few moments.

"Paresh come, I will make you a nice sandwich." She said smiling sweetly at the brat.

"You are going to feed me?" he asked looking delighted and suspicious at the same time.

"Of course. It was so brave of you to team up with Ben and have yourself dragged around so roughly."

"Oh you know it was Ben?" Paresh said happily not realising he had walked into Suvi's trap and I slapped my forehead when she shot me a smug triumphant look.

Suvarna's POV.

I shifted slightly in my crouched position. The damp smell from the surrounding did not help and I felt my nose twitch.

"Aaaachhoo"

Oh no!

Why did I have to sneeze now? I thought horrified and shut my eyes close. I felt the car slow and pried my eyes open slightly.

I almost groaned out as Shishir's eyes came into sight above me in the dim light and he hissed angrily "Are you freaking mad?"

Before I could mumble anything he shouted "Paresh!" having already guessed who my partner in crime was in getting me smuggled in their car.

"Mehrotra. We have to continue driving so that we do not lose sight of the police cars." Charles's voice from the driver's seat rang out and Shishir gave out an impatient sigh.

"You two don't think this is over." Shishir warned as he bent the seat he had been sitting on and yanked me onto the seat from where I had been crouched up.

"Hi?" I said lamely to a stunned looking Danny and Rahul who were sitting next to Charles. Danny broke into a smile as I settled in the seat between Paresh and Shishir.

"You were not supposed to get caught!" Paresh hissed accusingly into my ears his voice an irritated whisper.

"You should have made your brother sit in front. He would have never heard me sneeze had he been sitting in front." I shot back in a fierce whisper.

"You should not have sneezed in the first place you irresponsible girl." He frowned.

Irresponsible girl!?

"You think sneezing is my hobby? I could not help it!"

"Yeah right. Sensitive little darling."

"Don't you dare act smart with me you strawberry syrup blooded man!"

"Oh my God!"

I realised this last bit was not from Paresh and looked up to see Rahul looking at us with a stunned stunned and Danny and Charles trying and failing to control their laughter.

"You two can never grow up can you?" Shishir said sounding angry but I could make out he was trying not to laugh.

I realised we had got carried away and our argument had become quite audible instead of remaning the intended whisper.

"All right guys. Quite now. We have reached." Charles said slowing the car and bringing it to a halt near an old castle like structure. The place was in a very bad shape.

Shishir picked up his phone and answered it. He must have put it into silent mode I realised.

"They are about to start the operation. Be careful and Charles start driving immediately." Shishir said disconnecting the call.

"What is happening?" I asked "Drive after what?"

"Shh Suman. This is very crucial." Danny said and I realised they had come here with a purpose.

"They know their positions?" Rahul asked making me wonder even more.

"Yes, but one seat has been taken by an unintended passenger." Shishir shot me a wary look.

I gulped. Had I foiled some plan?

Suddenly gunshots and loud voices rang out and some cops came out dragging and pointing guns at two men.

Both were yelling and shouting but were dragged along mercilessly. I felt a horrified feeling take over. I know they are wrong doers but to see them being treated like this made me sick.

I really should have stayed away I thought looking away.

I felt my hands sweat and then the voices grew louder as a gun shot rang out. I looked up and saw the younger of the two men lay on the ground wriggling.

Had they shot him?

Oh my god he had been shot!

They just dragged him and dumped him in their car while the other man started crying. "My nephew. He is still a young boy."

I shot a look at others in the car and saw all were alert but no one seemed shocked.

Shishir looked into his phone.

"Charles. NOW!"

In a split second the police car's door facing us opened and policemen hovered around and the two men, including the one who had been shot jumped out and came towards our car.

Before I could fully register what was happening the door at the back where I had been initially crouched opened and also the one where we are seated and the two men came in.

The policemen were covering them as they made their escape while pretending to dump them in the car!

I looked back and realised the one at the back was Ben.

Oh God.

Shishir pulled me up on his lap as the other man sat inside and the car sped on in a really high speed.

I looked at the scrubby looking young man with dark bushy hair and eyebrows. He grinned around and suddenly others in the car shouted in unison.

"YES!"

"Good job Stuart!" .Shishir said smirking at the stranger

"Happy to help." He mocked bowed and I realised he was wearing a wig when he removed it gallantly like a hat.

My jaw fell open when I recognised who it was.

"Aditya!"

Oh.My.God.
