Suvarna's POV.

"What do you think about this one?" I asked Shishir, pointing at a photo on my mobile screen.

"A red coat?" he frowned at the screen and I nodded.

"I have been checking a number of options. There are so many choices and designs available and I am getting confused. So I thought first I will check the store's website before heading to the mall for shopping." I said as I flicked the screen to the next page.

"That seems a good idea." Shishir said "But why red? Will you be wearing such a bright coat?"

I laughed. "Shishir it's not like I wear only dull colours. I prefer lighter or earth colours, but I do wear bright shades too sometimes you know."

He shrugged smiling. "I love it. I have some meetings with clients today. I will take you shopping tomorrow or maybe over the weekend."

"It's not for me It's for Prema. And don't worry, this mall is quite close. I will manage on my own." I said, not wanting to bother him. He seems to be quite pre occupied since last evening. Probably due to some new case.

"For Prema?" He asked frowning even as Paresh who was sitting in the adjacent couch watching the morning news was trying his best to seem not interested. I almost laughed at his attempt to make a poker face and seem completely interested in the news.

"Yes." I answered Shishir "I was thinking of buying a purse for Mami." I mumbled while still trying to figure out which one.

"You want to send them gifts? Check with the shops for delivery options. Or let me know I will get them couriered." Shishir said looking up from the file he had been shoving in his bag.

"No no. I was planning on the gifts to take for everyone when I go back to Delhi." I said as I looked on the screen.

"What are you talking about?" The steely edge in Shishir's voice was unmistakable, making me look at him curiously.

"Shishir what's wrong?" I asked him.

"You will have to tell me that Suvi." He said raising his voice slightly. "You are the one who is talking about going back to Delhi.

I sighed "Shishir don't overreact. I am not saying am returning tomorrow or something. I am just trying to plan out things so that there is no rush at the last minute." I said trying to pacify him.

"What made you want to plan all of a sudden?" He asked, his voice still having the steely edge.

"Not suddenly Shishir. It's been over two months since I came here and I would be eventually returning-" I started to say but his crisp, full of rage voice did not let me continue.

"Fine. If you are so keen to go away I will book your tickets and you can get out of here as soon as possible."

"Shishir I did not say that!" I shouted back. What is wrong with him?

"Don't bother Suvi. I get it you are in a rush to go back to Delhi so I will see you are on your way soon." He said his tone clipped as he gathered his coat and stormed towards the door.

I felt my temper rise "Good. "I shouted after him "Infact I will try my best to ensure I am gone before you return home today."

I flinched as the door banged behind him loudly.

Paresh got up and started walking towards the door. "Don't worry Suvi. He is probably just overreacting at the thought of your going away." Paresh said and I glared at him.

"He seems pretty keen to get rid of me." I spat out, still angry.

"He may be upset since his father is leaving for Delhi tonight. You know him. He will never show his emotions." Paresh said and I felt my temper drain out immediately. He is right.

Why did I have to be so blind and lose my temper on him?

"By the way, I think yellow also suits Premature very well." The brat said tongue in cheek before scurrying out of the door in a rush making me laugh.

Shishir's POV.

I am feeling awful for losing my cool like that. What can I do? When she talked about going away I felt a sense of panic rise within me making me behave so harshly.

The passenger door to the car opened and Paresh sat beside me and gave me a cheeky grin.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him raising my eyebrow.

"Keeping an eye on you." he replied as he put on his seat belt.

"Haha - very funny!" I muttered as I started the car.

"Now tell me." Paresh said as we pulled out of the gates of the apartment block.

"What should I tell you?" I asked frowning at the road ahead as I changed gear.

"Tell me what is really bothering you and don't even think of denying there is something on your mind." He cut me off before I could deny.

I let out a resigned sigh knowing there was no way out of this discussion. Briefly I told him what I had learnt after my discussion with Aditya, about Prachi Auntie's flight and my father's possible involvement.

"You think he would have knowingly sent her on that flight bhaiya? They were best friends!" Paresh said shooting me an incredulous look.

I gave him a resigned look before taking my eyes back on the road ahead. "I know that. But what am I supposed to make out of the details that I can see in front of me?"

"What details did you find?" he asked sounding surprised.

"Not much. " I conceded "However one thing is clear Papa had been the one who had booked the tickets. I have his credit card report details."

"Why should that be a suspicious action? They were friends, he may have booked them on her behalf." Paresh said and I raised my hand up a bit to signal there was more.

"I found his name on the employment list of the company in which Aditya had worked. You remember the one he had got framed in for fraud activates? Those men have been involved in various illegal activities over the years, including drug dealing, flesh trading and many more such activities." I glanced at him briefly to see he had a shocked expression. "They get away each time since there is not enough evidence against them and they have very capable lawyers to save their necks. And Papa had been one such lawyer for them."

"You think that company was involved for the hijacking of the plane?" Paresh's voice gave away the shock he was feeling.

"It does seem so. I am still working on to find more details." I said as I turned towards the road near my office.

"This could break Suvi emotionally." Paresh said softly voicing my concern.

"It will shatter her if Papa had really been directly involved." I said trying to ignore the pain that shot in my chest right then.

"But she will find out eventually." He said his voice low as though he was pondering over it.

"I know that. I have no intentions of hiding it from her. I just want to know the entire details. How could Papa not be aware of the type of dealings the men were involved in?" I said feeling a deep hurt.

"Bhaiya, you do understand she is right about eventually having to return to Delhi sooner or later." Paresh said and I kept quite. I don't want to think about that. I promised her to return back to Delhi and for her sake I am ready to do that. I just need some time to wrap up things here.

Nothing is more important to me than her. I smiled thinking about what I had planned for today evening and felt my mood lift up instantly.

Suvarna Sharma, finally I can give you the proposal you deserve.

Anju's POV.

Delhi- Sharma residence.

"Mummy I am going out. I will be back for lunch." Prema said as she rushed out of the room, not giving me a chance to confront her.

Does she think she will get away so easily? When I reached home last evening after she and that punk had given me the slip, I found she had reached home before me. On asking where she had been she buried her face in a book and mumbled her tuition class had got cancelled and she had returned home.

Lies! I saw her with my own eyes. I will find out what is going on soon, I told myself firmly as I stirred the sugar in my tea.

I looked at my husband as he sat reading the newspaper. "Do you know how to -er- booble"

"Do I know what?" he asked his face still buried behind the paper.

"Put that paper down and talk." I said feeling irritated. "booble- you do not know how to?"

"What is a booble? A new dance step Pappu has learnt?"

"No! that - that search train everyone uses to find things on the internet."

He gave me a confused look before bursting out in laughter. "You mean google? It is not a search train! It is a search engine!"

"Engine or train it is all the same." I snapped. Do you know how it works and sighed in relief when he nodded 'yes.'

"Type in Andy on it for me and help me look up."

"Who is Andy?" he asked and I scowled at him. "Okay fine, stop trying to scare me woman." he laughed making me scowl harder. "That brinjal like haired man of the rock band-" I tried to remember the name "Hopping frogs? The one Prema is obsessed with." I said.

He fiddled with his mobile screen and after about a minute and laughed again "Anju you mean buzzing trotters?" he laughed harder "Hopping frogs! Where do you think of these names?"

"It's the names that are senseless." I frowned at my laughing husband. Here I am trying to figure out what company our daughter keeps these days and her ignorant father is busy making fun of me. "Did you find Andy? Show me his details."

I saw him staring intently at his mobile screen before pulling it very close to his face. What is he tring to do?

"Are you trying to eat your mobile?" I snapped feeling impatient.

"No- Er there is nothing there to see." He stammered looking shaken after a few seconds.

"There has to be something! Show me what you found?" I asked getting up from my chair and walking towards him.

"There is nothing! Internet connection suddenly went off!" he said looking pale suddenly.

"What has gotten into you suddenly? Just show me what you found." I said irritated at his actions. Fine! Your sister can help me. Pushpa come here." I said as she entered the room right then.

"Let her eat her breakfast first! Pushpa you must be hungry. Eat first." My husband said and I looked at him suspiciously. Something is definitely up.

" She will eat. What makes you think I will not let your sister have her meal?" This is the limit!

"Let her finish her breakfast. It is past 10 in the morning already." He said making me suck my breath in. His sister overslept and this man is creating a fuss like she is a guest here.

"She lives here! She will have her food. You don't have to worry about it."

Pushpa started laughing "From when did you start fussing over my meals, brother of mine." She teased and looked at me "What is it bhabhi?"

I told her and she nodded and punched on her mobile. I glanced at my husband who was looking distraught with worry. What could have shaken him so much?

"Here you go Bhabhi." Pushpa said as she pushed her mobile towards me. Suddenly her smile also faded and she jerked her mobile back towards her staring intently at her screen.

I quickly snatched her mobile from her before she could change her mind "What is wrong with this family? Have you all completely lost your mind?" I said at looked at the mobile.

My heart refused to pump as my eyes saw the face on the screen. I stared at the two not able to focus in front.

"His face is wrong." I blurted somehow feeling no breathe in my lungs. "Why does he have a face that looks like my-" I could say no further as the room started dancing and the ground seemed to move up to meet me.

Shishir's POV.

I smiled as I fingered the ring box in my pocket. I have a surprise for you my love I thought happily.

Just then my phone rang and my smile broadened.

I smiled slyly as I disconnected Suvi's phone for the third time. Let her think I am still angry. That will make my surprise seem even bigger.

When the phone rang for the fourth time I could not resist the urge to hear her voice and punched 'answer'

"Shishir!" her voice rang out and I sighed in bliss on hearing her "I came to the mall and-"

I took this opportunity to play the prank "So you are still planning to go away. Fine, don't bother me." I said trying to sound harsh and disconnected the call. A loud sound sounded before the call disconnected making me frown. I dialled her number back and it went into her voice mail after three rings.

"Did you see this news?" Danny said bursting into my room just then. "Some youngsters have managed to enter a shopping mall with weapons and have held some people hostage!"

My head snapped towards the screen as Danny put on the news channel on T.V. I felt my mouth dry up when I saw it was the mall Suvi had said she would be going to.
