Shishir's POV.

"But I am hungry."

"You always are. Glutton"

"Give back my sandwich right now!"

"Finders keepers. It was lying on the plate with you missing."

"What do you mean finders keepers? I had gone to buy myself a beer."

"Alcoholic Glutton."

"It's beer."

"Very spiritual."

"Suvi STOP eating my sandwich."

"You abandoned it. I adopted it."

"Adopted?"

"Paresh order yourself a fresh one. Let Suvarna have it." Danny said.

"Why are you siding with the wrong?"

"No, he is being sensible."

"Danny you ask her to return it to me."

"Danny tell him I am not giving."

"Danny you will listen to me. You will, right Danny"

"He will never support a Glutton. Right Danny?"

"Danny ask her to shut up."

"Danny ask him to stop talking rubbish."

"Danny? Are you listening? She stole food."

"Danny will you let him talk rubbish?"

"I um- er-" Danny gave me a defeated look and I grinned at him.

"An important lesson, never try to advice or interfere in their arguments." I laughed at his stunned expression.

"But it's just a sandwich." He exclaimed looking at the still arguing duo.

"Food gone from Paresh's plate. It's calamity!" I chuckled.

"They almost jumped on me!" he said smiling with a shake of his head.

"Trying to sort any issue between these two, it's bound to hit you back hard on your face." I said and pointed to the duo.

Danny's jaw dropped open when he saw now the squabbling had stopped. Suvi had given back the sandwich to Paresh who was taking a greedy bite of it and she was eating a bar of chocolate- without a doubt her bribe given by Paresh.

"They sort it out themselves in the end." I shrugged and smiled and Danny gave out a short chuckle.

"Okay let's go." I announced standing up.

"Yes, let's go. I am really tired." Suvi said smiling. "Dijon was worth getting this tired though."

"I can barely move my limbs." Paresh said agreeing with her.

I exchanged looks with Danny and smiled. "Fine, then you two carry on to the suite." I said extending the key card to them.

"What do you mean?" Suvi asked narrowing her eyes at me.

"It means we will see you later. Go and rest. Goodnight." I said planting a kiss on her forehead and turned around and started walking.

"Order some sandwiches through room service." Danny shouted at them as he walked beside me.

We stepped out and almost instantly two figures joined us, panting. "Changed your minds?" I asked without looking at them.

"That was mean stunt Shishir Mehrotra."

I grinned at her and placed my arms around her shoulders.

"Where are we going?" Paresh asked and I quietly pointed in front.

"Eiffel Tower??" Two voices echoed and I shrugged my shoulders.

"Why again at night time?" Paresh asked confused.

"He is upto something." Suvi announced darting a suspicious look towards me.

"He pointed towards it. What can he be upto?" Paresh retorted.

"Alcohol has gone into your head so you cannot use the tiny brain of yours."

"It was beer beer beer!" Paresh scowled at Suvi.

"You should be a tour planner bhaiya!" Paresh exclaimed with a huge smile on his face.

I turned to look at Suvi and saw her look in front with a thoughtful expression on her face. As we started walking I slowed my pace slightly and pulled her with me letting Paresh and Danny go ahead of us.

"Suvi?" I asked softly.

She turned towards me and gave me a smile. "This is great!" she said enthusiastically – a bit too enthusiastically.

I stopped walking and made her turn towards me completely. "What are you thinking?" I probed.

She looked away "Shishir, I love this, I really do- but" she paused as though trying to find words "This must be all costing so much money." She said softly looking into my eyes.

"Not too much Suvi. And whatever it is I can afford it." I answered, not liking this discussion. Where did this thought come into her mind from?

"I don't!" She said immediately and I felt a stab on my heart. "Shishir I know you can afford all this but I could not even have dared to dream about it."

I stepped closer "Suvi what is the most precious thing in your life?" I asked her.

She looked at me straight and groaned softly closing her eyes briefly "You, our friendship, us." She said after a few moments.

"So we are both sorted on that, are we?" I challenged and she nodded and have me a hug.

"How do you manage to make things seem right?" she asked pulling away.

"Because I say them as they are." I said and pulled her forward –towards the huge boat in front. This time her happiness was genuine and she shrieked with excitement when the boat started moving.

It was just past six in the evening and the city of lights was beginning to come alive in it's magical ambiance. However in my heart all this paled in comparison with the joyous sparkle that Suvi's face held.

"Let's get inside guys." I said ushering everyone in the interiors of the fully glassed boat. Suvi and Paresh were as usual trying to outdo each other in trying to identify the illuminated structures around us and were shouting the names much to the amusement of the passengers.

When there was a particular loud round of applause they seemed to realise they were the cause.

"Why is everyone looking at us?" Suvi hissed urgently to me. "Why are they laughing and clapping?"

"They are cheering you." Danny said before I could respond making me chuckle.

"Cheering?" Paresh asked looking around..

"You are naming structures that are not even in France-"

"Of course not" Suvi said indignantly "Paresh pointed Le Perdrera incorrectly. I showed him the correct one. He did not even recognise Leaning tower of Pisa."

Danny howl of laughter earned him a dark scowl from Suvi and I tried hard to keep a straight face while saying "One is in Spain and the other in Italy."

I could not hold back my laughter when she gave me a dismayed look and buried her face on my chest.

"Kill me, just kill me someone." Her muffled voice made me and Danny laugh harder.

"With pleasure." Paresh said glaring at Suvi as though she was solely responsible for this brilliant goof up only these two could manage.

Leaning back in the comfortable seat with Suvi very much attached to me was bliss. She was looking around the illuminated monuments with awe in her face and listening to what the guide was pointing out.

Her face flushed every time the guide pointed at something and grinned at her and Paresh.

"You have become famous." I whispered into her ears.

"For the wrong reason." She pouted.

"What is she singing?" Paresh asked as the in house singer started singling a melodious number.

"A song." Suvi responded.

"Which song? "Paresh scowled at her.

"Go ask her." Suvi said pulling a face at him.

Paresh almost got up. "She will also laugh at me." he said sitting back down. Then he brightened "They are going to start serving food!"

The almost four hours cruise seemed to pass in a jiffy. As the boat was nearing it's final destination near Eiffel tower I looked at Suvi. She and Paresh were pointing at some distant monument and giggling away.

"It really is heart-warming to see their special bond." Danny said quietly and I nodded in agreement.

"He always stood by her, throughout their growing up years, while I was far away mellowing in a silly anger." This is a pain that will always remain in my heart. Papa! I can never forgive you for this, I thought silently.

Danny placed a hand on my shoulder. "The good thing is all that is behind you both now. And both of you have emerged closer than ever before."

He is right about that. I smiled at him and tried not to think about Papa and his actions. They were certainly not a part of the past.

The worrying part is he still trying to manipulate. I fear to even imagine how Paresh will react once he gets to know how he has also been placed in his current game plan.

Suvarna's POV.

I stared at the illuminated monuments around. It is easy to see why Paris is known as city of lights.

I probably would have never seen all this had it not been for this one amazing man. I had really felt very strange when I had thought about how much all this must be costing.

Raghunath Uncle's words from the other day kept coming back into my mind. He had not been entirely wrong. If not for Shishir, even coming to London would not have been possible for me, at least not right now.

As the man in question put his arm round my waist I smiled and leaned my head on his shoulder. Together we gazed at the illuminated Eiffel Tower as it got nearer.

If it had looked magical when we had visited it yesterday, today it held a mystic property. The lights of all the buildings around, old and new falling on the river Seine made it all look so warm, despite the chilly bite in the November air.

November! I had been away from Delhi for well over a month now. I know I will eventulayy have to go back, no matter what Shishir says.

I try not to think about that. I am happy that this time will not be same as before. I will miss London. All the people I have met here and above all the man who means the world to me. But the memories will be happy ones and certainly not a goodbye.

I shook my head not wanting to ponder on such thoughts "It's so beautiful." I said softly looking around as we alighted from the boat. Shishir's hand tightened and he bent his head and gave me a quick peck on my lips making me gasp.

"Shishir!" I squealed trying not to laugh at his sneaky action and he gave me the most innocent look.

"I don't think I will be able to wake up before noon." Paresh said landing heavily on the couch.

"You are growing old." I teased him and ducked out of the way of the cushion he had flung on me.

"Tomorrow anyways I am taking Suvi shopping in the first half so you and Danny can rest if you don't want to join." Shishir said and I sat up in surprise. When did he decide on that?

"Shishir no!" I said but my voice got drowned when Paresh bellowed.

"Why only her? Why not me too?"

"You said you want to rest Paresh." Shishir  laughed at his expression. "Stop fretting baby brother I will take you along too if you want to come."

"I want to." Paresh said right away making all of us laugh till my laugher was knocked off at his next question.

"Suvi, you mean girl you never shared the candies and bubble gums you bought the other day."

Even before I could finish groaning silently a much amused Shishir said rather pointedly. "Oh they were just titbits."

I did not even bother to waste my look at this horribly mean man and got up with full intention of ignoring him.

Luckily my phone rang just then and I answered it rather enthusiastically "Hello!" I said cheerfully into the phone.

"Suvarna!"

My heart plummeted down to my stomach. Raghunath Uncle.

I feel numb for a second when I heard his voice. I have not always felt like this. Over the years he has always made me feel nice but after the happenings of the past few days I am really nervous.

I dart a glance at the laughing trio in the room and quietly walk ahead and open the room of my bedroom and close the door behind me firmly.

I don't want Shishir to get worried or worked up even before knowing what the call is about.

"Suvarna? Are you there?" His voice, sounding happy reached my ears.

"Yes Uncle." I said trying to sound normal. " I am here."

"Oh great! How are you my child?" He asked.

"I am well uncle." I said feeling more nervous by the minute.

"You won't believe the amazing good news I am going to share with you." He said.

Pre cap chapter 64.

Shishir's POV.

I opened the door to our room. Suvi had come in here almost twenty minutes back and had not come back out.

I smiled when I saw her standing near the window staring at the Eiffel tower. I pulled her to me making her turn suddenly.

I froze in that moment. "You have been crying."

She shook her head trying to deny then suddenly burst out crying and hugged me. "Suvi?" I said quietly stroking her hair. I felt my heart ache at her sobs. What could be the matter?

Suddenly I remembered hearing her phone ring as she was walking away from us and took it from her hand. Luckily it was unlocked.

I felt my face harden when I saw the incoming number.

Papa, you have messed with the wrong guy. If you want to play games then it's game on from now.

Shishir is angry!

Enjoy guys!

Buh bye till next time.
