Ethan's POV

Waking up to the sound of my alarm, made the headache I dreamt I had, come to life. I swiped my phone screen to the right and once the loud noise finally stopped, I was able to collect all my thoughts.

I scratched my head, thinking that will somehow stop the headache, but I knew tylenol would do the trick. It's not like I drank a lot last night, but the shots I downed in beer pong and with Tobias, really got in my system.

Tobias.

All the memories kept rushing back into my head and I could feel the redness forming on my cheeks. I was tipsy, and so I congratulate myself for still managing to call myself a uber back home. But I still kept thinking back to what happened in the room and how he asked me if I was gay. For some reason in my state, I thought the best way was to just prove to him I was, with a kiss.

I also just really wanted to kiss him.

I looked over at my phone and noticed I had three messages from PostIt. I put in my passcode and checked the messages. Two were from Angie,

Almighty_Angie

1:49am: I found Jake. Where r u!!?

2:25am: Hope you made it home safe. Tobias told me you went home.

RonRon:

2:13am: Tobias keeps asking for you...

It was obvious that Tobias was looking for me and then found out I went home, considering the time difference the messages were sent. But what's confusing is, why...

Why was he looking for me? He ran off. Once he ran off and the shock went away, I started to feel stupid. I knew he was straight, yet I still kissed him.

He was probably looking for me to tell me to keep my mouth shut, To not give anyone the wrong idea.

Which I totally understand....

I've only been in this school for a day but it only took me a day to find out Tobias was basically the current school gossip.

Even though I guessed correctly on him and Michelle being ex's, I didn't know the actual history they had together. And just from sitting down quietly and 'minding my business' I found out.

Turns out they grew up together. They went to the same elementary, middle, and now high school. It's crazy really, to think how long they've known each other.

It just gives me less hope and more closure.

He didn't kiss me back cause he liked me, he kissed me back cause he was drunk and for a split second he forgot I was a guy and not a girl.

So, for the last 45 mins of me showering off the alcohol stench and replacing the party clothes I slept in, with decent school clothes, I was ready. My hair was flipped in the right wave, my cologne wasn't too heavy. Everything was fine.

On the outside.

But on the inside, I was shitting bricks. I was scared that if Tobias saw me, he would look at me in disgust.

He knows I'm gay, but what if he tells the whole school and I'm suddenly the new target? I was just starting to get over what happened at my old school. I'm just hoping even if he doesn't respect me after last night, he still decides to keep it to himself and wait 'til I'm ready to come out to everyone.

I went downstairs and said good morning to everyone, before hugging my sister and leaving to catch the school bus.

I'm still in the process of getting my license. I currently have a permit and with school, I still need to find an afternoon job so I can save up for driving school and finally get my license.

I sat next to a random person on the bus and put on my headphones to kill time. After two good songs, we make it to school, and I wait til the bus gets empty, and leave. I'm surprised to see this many people here the morning after the party. I remember seeing passed out drunks last night that are now grinning bright and early. I figured most would be knocked out at home but instead they're here. Impressive.

Since its still not time for teachers to let kids in the building yet, I lean on a brick wall and wait. As I'm waiting, I listen to music until two people walk up to me. I feel one of them pull on of my headphone, making me look up.

"Wow, no good morning?" The brunette with brown highlights said in a fake sad tone. Jake had his headphones in while Angie stood in front of me with a way too early grin.

"You take my headphones out but not his?" I asked in sarcastic shock. She was letting him peacefully listen to music but ruining mine.

"Oh, I did it to him too once I got on the bus." she said in a big grin.

We both shared laughs and started talking about the party and what happened after we parted. My side was really short since I said I knocked out once my head touched my cool pillow.

She said nothing exciting happened after I left. Then she scolded me for not texting her when I left. Then I explained how I was too drunk to remember, when really I just wanted to leave that house as soon as possible without bumping into Tobias.

Speaking of the devil...

I see him and two other people walk out the next bus that arrives. The other people I'm guessing we're a couple since the guy had his hand over the girls shoulders. As they were walking, all I could focus on was Tobias and how confidently he walked passed everyone, not a single piece of evidence of our kiss or his drunken state written on his body.

Then suddenly a girl walked up to him and hugged him.

"Well isn't he back to his old ways." Angie muttered.

"The dudes a king." Jake said, suddenly back on earth and not in music land.

"Ew! If sleeping with girls at a party makes you a royal, then I guess I'm a peasant."

They slept together?

"Well I'm glad you're accepting your role as a peasant." Jake said before dodging her flying hand.

"Shut up, troll. The doors are open, come on."

We all started walking inside, squeezing past students who were desperate to get inside the building.

While I was desperate to make sure Tobias didn't see me.

Avoid Tobias. Avoid Tobias.
