Ethan's POV

I could feel goosebumps crawling on my skin, but I couldn't tell if it was the buzz coming on or the fact that people were forming a circle on the floor.

"This is a free for all game. So if you land on a person who happens to be the same gender as you, you have two options." Oh great, "Man up and kiss the person, or take a shot." He said as he shook a container of salt and a piece of lemon; each in both his hands.

"What if you don't want to kiss the person in general?" Someone said. We all looked over and saw it was surprisingly Tobias asking.

His ex was right next to him sipping away whatever was is in her cup. Just seeing her near him got me a little pissed but I ignored it because as he said those words to the guy, he was looking right at me.

"Dude, why would you want to give up a chance to kiss someone?"

Everyone cheered at his responds. I just stood there wondering why I still was even in this room.

But he put the bottle in the middle and gave it a nice spin. Everyone waited as the bottle slowed down. Some people 'ohh'ed as the spins barely went around and suddenly stopped at a very pretty blonde.

Everyone egged her on since she was nervous at first, while the guy stood on his knees ready to attack her lips.

They were obviously both drunk and I'm guessing everyone was too since the kiss looked disgusting yet everyone cheered for them.

I looked at my phone and noticed it was already midnight and Angie and Jack still weren't here.

"Alright princess, you spin."

She grabbed the bottle he was pointing at her even after he creepily called her princess, and gave it a loose spin. It got slow way quicker than the last spin and that caused it to land on a girl. Tobias' ex.

Everyone shouted while some of the guys high fived each other.

"Damn Tobias, you're gonna lose your ex to a girl!—" one of the guys said. Tobias just looked at him and gave him a death glare. It was obvious he was bothered. Which was a clear sign that he still cared.

"Okay okay! We get it. But we still need their approval." The guy who I don't know the name of but am going to call Spin, said.

Everyone stared down at the girls waiting for one of them to reject, while they looked at each other waiting for one of them to shake their heads no.

"What the hell. I'm done taking shots anyways." She slurred. She stood on her knees, matching the other girl. They both smiled at each other while people stared intently, until they both kissed. That's when all hell broke loose.

Everyone cheered and roared while I sat wondering what was so cool about two girls kissing. They didn't do this when Spin and princess kissed.

Once they pulled apart, everyone went back to normal.

"Michelle, it's your turn."

So, her names Michelle.

"I'll take that." She grabbed the bottle and gave it a spin. She definitely could've spin harder but by the look on her face, it's obvious she did it purposely.

The next thing I know, she grabs the bottle, making it stop. And when everyone looked, she purposely made it stop on Tobias.

"Cheater!" A guy shouted.

"It landed on him, how is that cheating?" She said innocently. For some reason I suddenly had a dislike towards her. And I knew it wouldn't go away.

"Tobias, you gonna kiss her or take a shot. I mean she is your ex so I don't know if—"

"I'll take a shot."

For some reason I felt my heart drop. Once again, it's probably the alcohol that's got me slightly tipsy but part of me knew it was cause I liked him a little and the fact that his passing up a chance to kiss his ex, was making me a bit happy inside.

"Tobias." She whined. Everyone was looking at him like he was stupid while I was secretly cheering him on.

"Okay, pass the salt!"

"Nah it's fine, I'll go get one downstairs." And with that, he got up and left the circle, not even making it half way through the game. Part of me realized the only reason why I even agreed to play this stupid game was... ugh, it sound pathetic but I thought maybe if I were to spin, it would land on him.

I knew I had to leave. There was no one in the circle I'd kiss except him and he's not even here.

So I waited until Michelle embarrassing spun again, this time harder then the first. I slowly got up and walked around the circle so no one would notice me leaving.

Before I could even leave the room, I bumped into someone. I looked up at the person and recognized the face.

"Angie!"

"In the flesh."

"Where have you been?"

"Downstairs, I was going to come up but they kept playing The album Views and I'm a sucker for Drake."

"Should've told me, I would've came down."

"I know and I'm sorry, but what I need to do is find Jake. I kinda lost him while I was dancing with Ronnie. Come help me."

We both went downstairs and checked around the people dancing to see if we could find him there. After walking up to several sweaty and messy drunk people, none of them were Jake.

"You check outside by the pool, I'll check inside." Angie shouted over the music.

"Okay!"

"What?" she shouted. Clearly she couldn't hear me over the music.

Instead of answering, I have her a thumbs up and made my way outside. Once I was outside, the only thing I could look at was the beautiful blue pool.

Then someone jumped into it and ruined the beautiful ripples that kept traveling across, I shook my head out of the daydream and continued looking for Jake.

After 20 mins of looking around and only finding people smoking outside, I knew he wasn't here so I made my way back inside.

The first thing I did was go to the kitchen and grab a red cup to serve myself some water. As I was pouring it, I heard laughing behind me.

"Are you r-really drinking water at a p-party?"

It was Tobias and by the looks of it, it wasn't the normal Tobias either.

"Didn't you just leave the purple room, and you're already drunk? What? Are you that obsessed about your ex kissing a girl?" It was harsh, but it abruptly came out.

"Shut up."

"Make me."

"Trust me, you don't want me too." For some reason I couldn't tell if it was a threat or something else. He didn't say it in a mean way, but rather in a playful sexual way. But he was drunk so it's obvious he didn't mean what he said, "you know what we should do?" He said while grabbing two shot glasses.

"What?"

"Follow me."

"Yeah right." I said between laughs.

"And why would I lie to you?" He questioned. It's been half am hour and I've had more fun with Tobias than I have the entire night. We've locked ourselves in a random room and started playing 20 questions. One rule was, if you didn't want to answer the question, you had to take a shot.

"There's no way you tried to walk out of the pet store with a puppy under your shirt."

"Why would I lie? I was 11, and I really wanted a puppy."

"Okay. My turn..." I mumbled, I didn't know what to ask him. Well thinking about it now, I did but I don't know if I should or not, "why did... You and Michelle break up?"

After seeing his face and realizing how dumb I was for even going there, i had to stop the good mood from ending, "You don't have to answer, just take a shot. Never mind, you don't even have to do that—"

"she cheated on me."

"SHE WHAT? I mean— she did?" I don't know why shouting was my instant reaction but it was.

Can you blame me?

Who would cheat on him? His cute and looks very protective over her even if they are apart. Why would she give up something like that? Someone like him?

Even though I was slightly embarrassed that I shouted, hearing him laugh at my response, made me smile.

"Yeah, she did."

"Well... I'm sorry to hear that."

"Yeah. But it's my turn so stop being sad."

"Okay." I said with a slight blush. The more I spent time with Tobias, the more I realized how much I actually liked him. And to think I just met him today.

"Okay. My question is... Are you a virgin?"

After realizing where this was gonna go, depending on what answer I give; I decided to not give one at all. So I shook my head and grabbed the bottle of vodka, ready to fill my shot glass.

But Tobias grabbed it from me before I could even serve.

"Just answer the question."

After all the basic 'what's your favorite colors?' Or 'what's your favorite food'... We started getting to the serious questions. But this was just too serious.

"I'm not telling you if I'm a virgin or not. That's personally."

"Just answer."  He said as he laughed.

I've managed to keep my questions appropriate and mild while he decided to take out the chili pepper. I know, bad way to explain things but you get it...

"No!" I said with a grin. I've always stayed away from girls. I was always known as the guy with 'no game' so no one wondered why I didn't have a girlfriend. Since I know I don't have any game, sex was out the picture.

"....Is it cause you're gay?"

Suddenly everything went quiet. My smile went away and the sound of his laugh was long gone. He was taking it too far. To the point where I couldn't even speak.

"I- I should go. Angie's probably worried sick." I got up from the bed and made my way to the door. The lights in the room were turned off but the light from outside came in through the bottom. I wrapped my fingers around the knob and twisted it open, until a hand stopped me.

"You can tell me." He whispered. We were way to close for comfort and the room was suddenly getting too hot.

"I can't." No one in this school knows I'm gay and telling the straight boy I'm secretly crushing on, wasn't my first choice.

"Why?"

I looked up at him and could see his blue eyes staring me down.

Maybe it was all the alcohol that was in my system, or maybe it was the fact that I found him way too attractive... but all I know is that one second he was asking if I was gay and the next, I was showing him that I was.

I kissed him. And although I thought he'd push me away, he kissed back and the rush that went through my body when he pushed me against the door, was probably the highlight of my night.

But then he broke the kiss and I watched as his eyes widened when he looked at me. I loved every single bit of that kiss but with his reaction, I knew he just regretted what he did.

Next thing I know, he's walking out the bedroom heading back to the party.

Leaving me breathless and questioning everything that just happened.
