I just ruined my black&white theme but, this covers worth it.

Mate? Oh my god, am I in Australia?

My steps faltered with the realization I might be In Australia, and he rushed over to my side.

"What's wrong mate?" He wrapped an arm around my shoulder. I quickly felt the tingles before I had pushed him off, jumping on his bed and rolling to get to the other side to maintain distance.

"I'm not your friend!"

Now it was his turn to be confused.

"What?" He questioned, his concern depleted and he looked at me quizzically.

Could he not understand me? I told him I'm not his 'mate', how could I make it any more clear?

And if it were like that, a light bulb went off. "I am not your friend, okay? Not your 'mate'." I told him again, but this time in an Australian accent, and putting air quotes for the word mate.

I could sense his slight frustration since he pinched the bridge of his nose and took a deep sigh. and then he ran his hands through his hair. His silky brown hair...Wait, stop! Snap out of it!

He turned and looked at me with his hands going through his hair in frustration. "Human, of course, you had to be a human."

What? Isn't he human also? What else could he be?

I held my tongue as a million questions coursed through my brain. I had assessed him and he looked even more dangerous than my father.

I looked up at him, thinking of the events that brought me here.

Oh god..

"Mandy!" I deadpanned, "Where is my friend!?"

He sighed, "Taken care of."

My eyes widened and my jaw slacked, "Taken care of?" I repeated, "What did you do to her? Where is she? Where am I? You said you wouldn't hurt us-"

"Wrong choice of words!" He interrupted my freakout. "Your friend is fine and safe."

"Is she here?" I gulped, not even knowing where here is.

He stared at me for a second, his head turned to the side as his eyes held information I didn't have a clue to.

"Do you know what we are?" he questioned, and he cocked his head to the side and waited for my answer.

"We?" I repeated, "Are there more people here? Am I part of a human trafficking ring, please I promise you won't get any money off of me, it's not smart to invest in me trust me."

He rubbed his face, clearly in disbelief to what I was saying.

"Darling fi-"

"Darling?" I repeated, "I am not your darling or your friend..." I got quieter as I saw the glare he was throwing me.

He cleared his throat, shoving his hands into his pockets. "I realize this isn't the way that I planned for us to meet, but it's already been too long that I have kept you in the shadows of what your life is to be." He started walking towards me but halted seeing me walk further away from him. "The growing amount of threats to your life are really only going to increase if I keep you distant from me."

What the fuck is he talking about.

"What kind of threats," I asked, shaking slightly.

♦♦♦

Oh my god, he's insane.

He stared at me from across the room watching as I comprehended his words.

Quite honestly I wanted to laugh.

Here I was in some fancy ass place with a man who had the most gorgeous face I have ever had the pleasure of seeing, telling me that he turns into a wolf.

"Okay, I believe you." I lied, figuring that this was the only way to get out of here safely.

He shook his head, "Your heart beating quicker tells me that you don't." He said as he got closer and his voice lower.

"I do," I said quickly, sticking my arms out in front of me trying to keep him at a distance. "You turn into a four legged creature whenever you see a full moon and you howl." I started speaking rapidly as he kept getting closer, until there was only a wall to back into.

He smirked as he got closer to me, "Well darling, I can choose when I want to shift, not the moon," He pushed a stray hair behind my ear, causing me to flinch and jump up as his finger raced down my cheek. "I do howl though," His eyes went from my lips to my eyes, "among other noises..."

He snickered, before crossing his arms over his torso, moving away from me.

I simply just stared at the delusional man in front of me, I watched as he kept my eyes captive until his went distant... until they started looking like a veil of fog misted over his eyes.

"I hate to cut our little meeting short, but I do have other duties to take care of."

I broke from my trance, following him quickly. "Your leaving me alone here?"

"Of course not, I brought you here to ensure your safety," He lifted my head up with a single finger under my chin, "He'll be here in less than a second, make sure you don't try to do anything... delusional."

He let go and left the room, the click from the other side sparked adrenaline in me as I ran towards it.

That pyscho had locked me in.

I glanced over at the windows, all of them locked.

Taking in a deep breath I fell to my knees, I pinched my arm, begging that this whole ordeal was only my overactive imagination, that this was all a dream.

But I didn't wake up, I pinched harder, trying to cause enough pain for myself to wake up.

Suddenly the door swung open, smacking me in the face.

I groaned in pain as I held my nose in my hand, if that couldn't wake me up, its for certain that I am not dreaming.

Glancing up I saw the man who had walked in, and in his hand, he had a donut. And upon looking at me he let out a low whistle.

"Yooo, what happened to you?" he said, with his mouth still full.

My mouth opened and closed like a fish, as His free hand was still holding onto the door handle.

"You- you happened!" I exclaimed.

His head turned to the side as he got a look at me, "did the door hit you?" He asked as he took another bite.

"Yes it did." I responded holding onto my nose, which caused him to chuckle. Realizing that this man seemed much more easier to talk to I took a shot. "Can I ask you where I am?"

He took another bite, "In a room."

I rolled my eyes, I replied through clenched teeth. "I know that, but where am I really?" enunciating every word.

"In a castle."

"A castle? Jesus Christ, okay listen here-"

Then after all that he decides to interrupt me.

"I'm supposed to take you to your room."

"My room?" I ask. "You both plan on keeping me here?" I gulped.

He takes one final bite of his donut and wipes his hands on his pants. "Yes, your room now let's get going." Then he turns around and starts making his way out.

In fear, I was frozen in my one spot. It wouldn't take him long until he noticed I wasn't following him.

He ran back in laughing after a minute, "Hey! Uh unless you wanna be mauled to death by the Alpha I suggest you start walking cupcake."

I take a deep breath, Alpha? How did this all happen?

"Now" he offered me his hand, "let's go."
