I just.... SOULJA BOY TELL EM ^

I was told Lucas wasn't the type of person who enjoyed receiving gifts, apparently, he thought there was no need. Big shocker. His ideology being. 'What more could I possibly need.'

Since Christmas was also fast approaching, he told us all after a short breakfast that he would reject every gift given to him. I personally didn't understand why he was so against getting gifts. I still planned to give him something, it would be his choice if he wanted to accept it though.

Currently, it was about 4 in the afternoon, the 'pack' as I was instructed to call them, had put together a party for Lucas' 28th birthday. Though he made it seem as though he was the type of person to reject these types of things I noticed how elated he was when Zeke had told him about the surprise party.

Apparently, it couldn't be a surprise, because Lucas didn't bode well with surprises. Claiming that he would- quote on quote- Go full beast on them. So he was told by Zeke while he picked off strawberries off of Lucas' plate.

Penny had informed me that this would be my first outing as Luna and that I should make it memorable. The only problem with that being was... how?

I rummaged my closet, I had some dresses in here but I had no idea of what I could possibly wear. My moving hands finally rested on a black dress, the soft silk of it caressing my fingers. I pulled the hanger off the rod and viewed the material in my hands. It was a strapless unit, the thought of it wearing frightened me but I just couldn't find it in me to not at least try it on.

Only just to see what it would look like. I told myself as I slipped the thin material of my shirt off, keeping my joggers on as I slipped the dress over my head and down my body. Unlike the dress I wore to the mating ceremony, the zip for this dress was on the side. Something I appreciated heavily. I smoothed out the fabric and walked towards the bathroom to see how it looked.

I flicked the light on and turned to face my reflection, I let out an audible gasp as I looked at myself.

     I looked good.

I turned to see how my butt looked like in it, I did a small side pose as I assessed the prominent bump and I smiled, I looked popping. My eyes traveled upwards and scanned over my bareback. The smile dropped, my posture slouched. I shook my head at myself, I don't know why I acted as nobody could see them. Like they didn't exist.

I turned off the light and slipped the dress off, hanging it back up on the rod in the closet, and pulling out a long-sleeved white dress.

      Covered up pretty much everything.

I set the dress on my bed as I took a quick shower to remove the day's grime, I got out after a long ten minutes, I wrapped the towel around me as I slipped on my undergarments. I dried off my body and put on a 3 sizes too big shirt, continuing until I reached a small vanity placed in the corner of my room. I got done up, as best as I could manage. Not having any prior knowledge on how to do this I just smothered my face with what I could do.

I heard a knock on my door and placed my lip gloss away from my lips as I called out, "Come in!" Penny walked in wearing a bright red dress, it made her two-toned brown eyes come alive, and her hair with its streaks was wrapped up in a bun. I let out a whistle and looked her up and down, which she responded with a small twirl and pretended to flick off some fake dust from her shoulder.

"You look so gorgeous Penny!" I exclaimed, getting up from my seat.

She rolled her eyes, all in good fun. "I know." A large smile displayed on her face. "Thank you! I would say the same but you're not even dressed yet!"

I waved my hands, "I was just about to put on my dress, don't worry." She walked over and lifted the dress up, her eyebrows lifted in distaste and she looked back at me.

"You sure you want to wear this?" She asked, and I nodded. She shrugged and placed it back down. "You'll look great."

"I'm sure I will now get out of here. I have to change." I pushed her out of my room, just as we got to the door she stopped and faced me.

"Lucas is coming to pick you up, Zeke, Mandy and I are all gonna leave now just to make sure everything's alright." I nodded and she left the room, I walked over to the dress giving it the same look as Penny had. I glanced over towards the black dress that hung in the closet. Biting my lip in deep thought I debated the two dresses.

The white one, well... there's not much to say. It does the job of covering me up, hiding everything I'm insecure about. But that black dress... that black dress gives me that boost of confidence that I hadn't felt in the longest time. My mind drifted back to Dolores' words, the helpful special words that I carried with me when I had anxious thoughts the day of the mating ceremony.

Her eyes widened in understanding before she shook her head. "I say show them off! Why those scars show your story of strength, something I'm sure the whole pack would admire."

I smiled at the memory, I hope I would be able to see her tonight, It had been a while. I made up my mind, time to show my story. I marched towards the closet and tugged the dress off the hanger, slipping it on and zipping it up so it was tightly on and not going anywhere. I continued towards my vanity, my leg coming out of the slit that was in the dress. I looked up and down, severely content, but still that something was missing. In the heat of all my confidence, I grabbed the dark red lipstick that was on the table. I wiped the lip gloss off with a wet wipe and carefully painted my lips with the matte color, slowly pulling back from the mirror, I looked back at the girl looking back at me.

I heard the door creak open, and I ripped my eyes away from my reflection and towards Lucas who was standing in the doorway with a small box in his hands. I stepped away from the mirror when he spoke.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I should've knocked." He said bashfully, trying to hide the obvious stare that he was throwing my way.

I smiled and sat down on my bed, grabbing the heels placed next to it. "It's alright," I said while strapping the heels to my feet. "We ready to leave?"

"Almost." He said and walked towards me, I got up from the bed and gave him a quizzical look. He held the box tightly in his grip and once reaching me he opened the mahogany up and revealed a pearl necklace, laying on the velvet lining on the inside.

"What's this?" I asked, breathlessly, the simplistic beauty of the pearl had me almost drooling.

He pulled it out of the box. "May I?" I nodded and turned, he glided my hair away from my back. I could tell once he noticed the scars by his lack of movement. He reached over my head and brought the ends of the necklace towards him. "This was also my mothers."

I began to turn around before he clasped it shut, "Lucas, why are you giving me this? It's your birthday, I'm supposed to be the one giving you things." But before I could turn around he had stopped me by gripping my shoulders and keeping me in place.

"It would be a really nice gift to see you wearing it." he clamped it shut, and I slowly faced him.  "You look, so beautiful tonight." He whispered.

My heart warmed up and no doubtfully so did my cheeks, I blessed the makeup gods for making the foundation to be thick enough that my blush couldn't seep out to embarrass me.

"I could say the same about you."

He laughed, "You think I'm beautiful?" My heart danced at his laughter.

"You clean up nice, Romero." I looked at him, he was wearing an all-black suit, with a red tie, not so subtly matching what I had on.

"Thank you, Myers." He responded, and he slipped his hand around my waist. "It's okay that I do this?" He asked, his hand slightly retreating.

Mulling it over, I grabbed his retreating hand and placed it back where it previously was. "It is."

We walked out of the room, down the grand staircase and to the foyer. He held my hand the whole way down the crystal steps and opened the front door up for me. "Ready to go?"

I smiled, not aware of the two shadows lurking around the castle halls. Watching both of us silently.

       "Ready."

Jeanne's Pov:

Though I didn't care to admit it, that man's plan inevitably did plan on working.

I had called out one of the guards, the only one who seemed to be down here. It was the King's birthday today. The whole pack was out celebrating another year of his horrid life.

"Help!" I wailed, following through with the script. "Help!"

Fast moving footsteps were heard as the one guard neared my cell, "What's wrong ma'am?" He questioned, looking me over to see the cause of my distress.

"My stomach!" I cried, watching his face grow into confusion, as my hand banged against the metal. Making it harder for him to hear. "Somethings happening," I groaned, "I think something ruptured."

He stepped closer, "Your hand is making too much noise, I can't hear what you're saying."

"Come closer..." I teased, and he shook his head.

"Sorry lady, I value my balls more than that." He laughed. "I'm not supposed to get too close to the prisoners."

I cried out, "Please it hurts so bad."

I saw him think it over, "Alright..." he said, I lured him in. As he got closer and closer, my claws started to grow, only a couple more steps forward...

"What did u say the problem was?" He said, finally getting close enough. I stuck my hand through the gates and pierced into his stomach. I heard him gasp out in pain and I pushed harder. His groans grew louder than his screams of agony. He collapsed to the floor, passing out, or either dead. I didn't care to check.

"You."

I pulled out my bloody hand and grabbed the key that was around his waist. I quickly turned the lock pushing through the door. Just as I was about to make a mad dash for it the man called out.

"Hey, sweetheart. Don't forget about me." He said with a smirk in his voice.

I rolled my eyes as I neared his cell. "Wish I could."
