He didn't turn to look at me, but I could see his rigid back. I took the crown off from atop my head and walked towards a table Lucas had set his own on. I turned to look at him and he was staring out the window. I shifted to see what he was looking at and I was nearly blinded when I saw how bright the moon was lit.

He cleared his throat before speaking. "I have to mark you before the moon sets." I heard him say, but I really didn't pay him much attention as I was too entranced at the visage of the moon. "It's already 2:30, it's better that we do it now."

I just nodded and I heard the bed squeak, he probably got up off from it. I felt a tug on the sleeve of the shirt I was wearing and I slowly turned to face him. He was really close but I made no effort to move away from him. He lifted his hand slowly, looking me in the eye as he did so. He softly placed his hand on my cheek and I didn't stray away from his touch but rather leaned into the soft feeling of his skin on mine.

"I told you that I'd never hurt you." He said with an intensity in his voice. "But... this is going to hurt, and I'm sorry."

I felt my heart pressing against my rib cage as it beat rapidly in my chest. I took a deep breath and nodded. "Okay."

His thumb ran over my cheek as his eyes held pain, I could tell he didn't want to do this. He pulled my head to the side leaving my neck free and vulnerable. He leaned in and I could feel his breath fawning on my skin. Then he dropped a kiss on my neck and I couldn't bite back the small moan that escaped my lips.

I felt him freeze at the sound I let out before taking that as a sign to drop more, he trailed a line of soft kisses from the base of my neck to under my jawline. I let my eyes roll to the back of my head as I felt an absurd amount of pleasure. His grip on my cheek moved to my scalp and he slightly tugged my hair to create more space, out of instinct my hands moved from my sides and slid up his chest until they lay there.

He connected his lips to an area on my neck that made my knees tremble, I guess he picked up on that and slid his free arm around my waist. I felt his lips leave my neck and he pulled his head back. My eyes fluttered open and I stared back into his lust filled eyes that were turned midnight and not his bright emerald ones. My own dark eyes probably no different than his. I saw him lick his lips before he nodded at me, signaling that he was going to do it now.

In the heat of the moment I had forgotten about the whole marking thing until now, he was already next to my neck, and I felt little vibrations tingle it when he growled slightly at it. He kissed the same spot once more and then I heard a clink sound and before I could process it he dug his canines into my skin.

I immediately cried out at the immense pain it brought, I could feel the stream of hot burning tears fall down my cheeks. I was sobbing against him the bite caused my legs to give out and I was only supported by his grip on me. "Lucas! Please!" I screamed in agony. I hadn't felt this much pain since I had left my father.

I felt his fangs pull out from my neck, and Lucas grabbed my arms and pulled me off of his body and he searched my face before wrapping his arms around my shoulders in a panic. I laid my head against his bare chest, undoubtedly leaving trails of tears down his body. I felt him shush me softly, and whisper his apologies into my ear. I shook against him and he kissed my forehead with intensity.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." He mumbled against my forehead. "It's all over. I promise."

I just nodded against him as I willed my tears to stop, I felt his embrace loosen and one his arms slipping under the back of my thighs as he picked me up in his arms. My arms just dangled to my sides as I felt slumber come after me. I swayed in his arms before he dropped me onto the bed, I closed my eyes and took the sweet release.

I peeled my eyes open only to see that I was still in the cabin and last night had in fact really happen. I immediately brought my hand up to touch the skin or at least tried to. My arm was pinned down under another arm, and arm that clearly didn't belong to me. I turned my head to face Lucas, but the action caused a surge of pain to come from my neck, I clamped my mouth shut as I tried to silence my yelp of pain. I felt his arm retract and then he turned me to face him.

He was propped up on one elbow as he looked at me. "What happened?" He asked.

"I just tried to move my head, sorry if I woke you," I responded.

He didn't say anything but he got off the bed, resulting in it creaking as it tried restoring its position. I saw him walk across the room and towards the bathroom before he disappeared out of my vision, I heard water running after a couple seconds of quiet, and he walked back out carrying a damp towel in his hands. He walked over to my side of the bed and he dropped down to his knees. He raised the towel in his hands so that I could see.

"May I?" He asked and pointed to my neck. I nodded but immediately felt pain at my dumb decision to do so. My face contorted and I shut my eyes until I felt the wet towel make contact with my neck.

My eyes opened wide at the feeling of it, it didn't hurt at all. In fact, it kinda felt mildly pleasant. He wasn't looking at me but only at the task at hand. I watched his serious face as he wiped down my neck softly and carefully. I guess he felt bad about last night. I saw him pull back the towel and I gasped at the amount of red that stained itself on the white fabric.

"Did you chew off my neck or something?" I whispered in awe to myself.

He got up while I spoke and froze when he comprehended my words, "What?"

I gulped not meaning for him to hear my dumb thought and pushed myself to a sitting position on the bed. "Uh, it- a- it was a joke." I tried clarifying.

He nodded and started to walk back to the bathroom, mumbling something about how it was a bad joke.

Alright, it's a shorter chapter i'm sorrrryyyy. Lately I've been pushing out almost 3000 word chapters and I feel like I'm disappointing yall with this weak ass chapter. I know y'all are most likely tired of this damn ceremony thing!!!! I'm sorry but it just was all too long to fit into one chapter.

Another quick PSA: It is no longer break for me and i cannot update as frequently as I wish to, I'm only going to get busier and busier from here on out. But I promise to make some time to Update about 2 times a week.
